So.. one day these small water filled sacs appeared on my hand out of nowhere. Not even very itchy unless I touch it a lot. What could this be? It seemed to get a little worse , no redness just more bumps.. it's only affecting the one side of my hand . I don't think its serious?

Hello /med/

This year I subjected myself to a diet of 600 calories a day for three months and lost 42 pounds. This was obviously a stupid thing to do and now I'm suffering with the consequences.

I feel absolutely awful all over. My legs feel like lead weights. I'm constantly tired. I can't focus or concentrate on anything. I've developed insomnia and wake up every day at 4am no matter how tired I am and can't get back to sleep. I've completely lost my sex drive and can't even get an erection anymore. I feel depressed and suicidal.

I've been to my doctor and had full blood tests which show nothing is wrong with my blood count, iron levels, b12, electrolytes, etc. According to the blood tests I'm healthier than the last time I had a blood test in 2014. And yet I now feel absolutely awful.

Can anyone here explain what I've done to myself and how to fix it? I'm eating normally again at 2,000 calories a day of fruit, carbs, and meat. I take a multivitamin pill and drink plenty of water. I try to exercise moderately. I weigh 140 pounds with a height of 5 foot 7 inches.

You'll rebound soon enough. It took me about 3-4 weeks. I'm like 5 8 and went from 194 to 150. Caffeine helps a lot but dark sodas pack the weight right back on. My knees and shit felt probably the worst. I also only slept like 2-3 hours. But I started to get more hyper and agile after about a month or maybe a little less. I lost the weight in about 2-3 months time.

You'll feel a lot better once you return to normal. I don't know the science behind it but I felt like ass after completing the diet and not really during. Once I started to maintain weight, I felt like shit with no appetite and just wanted to keep losing weight. Then I acclimated and all was well. Until I went back up to like 185 and did it all again lol. I honestly feel a lot more shitty at 170+ than I do at 140-150. I feel a lot more intense and quick physically and mentally at the lower weights. The fatter I am, the more sloth and depressed I get.

Don't worry, you'll be glad for it in a couple more weeks probably.

Ok, so I've gone through acne scars in the past, on my face.

I got glycolic acid and lemon peels that removed a lot of my skin, but healed up very nicely. It hurts and you will look bad for a few weeks, but it does wonders. I got rid of stuff that was even under my skin and super gross.

That being said, be very careful! Never get acid that's too strong, never do too much. Get a second opinion from someone else too, It may not be for you.

Anybody have any tips for having more energy and better mood throughout the day. I hate picking up a book and being so tired. I hate always avoiding people because I'm too tired and feel like a piece of garbage. I don't want to do anything with my day. I have trouble getting out of bed, keeping a job (socially I can't exist).
I'm not looking for anti-depressants. I want to change my lifestyle in order to feel better in these areas. So I want advice for that, preferably from people who have been there and gotten better. Here's what I do now.

-Exercise: I work out 3 days a week through weight lifting. Still relatively new at it. Going to try to pick it up to 6 days a week, adding a cardio day in between.
-Sleep: I don't sleep very well, and admittedly this is due to bad habits of internet and so forth. I'm going to start going to bed at 10pm and see where that gets me.
-Diet: I eat better than I did, more green things and so forth, but I still eat meat, milk, etc.
-Meditation: 5 days into the app Headspace. I'm going to continue with it.
-Network Spinal Analysis: it's a kind of massage, sort of. The idea is to trigger nerve in your body so that your body feels stuff and regains a natural sense of alignment. I've been hunched over for awhile. I've done this for about 2 months now, and my anxiety I think has gone considerably down. The anxiety I have now is more about knowing that I'm gonna be tired and feel like garbage, and because of that I'm going to be a drag to talk to, so I don't.

This is definitely ruining my life.
I had a bad childhood and I hate how these issues are still here at 24, I'm still miserable, and it fucking sucks. Like, there seems to be a 50 50 chance I'm gonna kill myself some day relatively soon. My social skills are pretty bad, but my avoidance is the worst problem. If I felt better it would be so, so much better. I realized last night that I have to decide to get better.. I've kind of been coasting, feeling too tired and shitty and dabbling, not keeping promises and standards to myself and so forth. I've been lazy, frankly. I've let myself slip for a long time.

So.. What else can I do to help …

Go get some blood tests done OP. CRP, ESR as a minimum, they will tell if there's a high level of ongoing inflammation in your body that you should be concerned with. If they are out of range you need to think about all your symptoms and try and find the source of the inflammation with more blood tests.

Get a comprehensive metabolic panel done, full thyroid function tests and full hormone panel done too.

Howdy /med/. Like the subject says, my knees have seen better days. They haven't sustained any single severe trauma, just years of wear and tear from various sports and activities. I haven't been to a doctor about this so I'm guessing it's either my MCL's (that's where I feel the pain) or maybe my cartilage is starting to deteriorate. Also, the pain is far more pronounced on my right knee. It often stings a bit to bend it, especially if I've been active or standing for a long period.

Anyways, I'd like to know if there are some PT exercises you guys would recommend to strengthen/prehab my MCL before it gets any worse. Really anything helpful you can recommend would be appreciated. I'm trying to squat 400 and deadlift 500 and I can't be having something like a little knee pain getting in the way of that.

I have a strange lump or swollen area right at the front lower edge of my left ribcage, the area is about as large as my hand, it's not swollen enough to see with the naked eye but can clearly be felt while feeling around, it can be very slighty felt OVER the rib itself, but the main source of it seems to be under it.

It isn't particularly sore, but if i apply a little bit of pressure it hurts like a bitch. There's also a small spot that hurts a fuckton whenever i apply pressure in the little area between the 2 halves of my ribcage.

What is wrong with me, and should i be worried?

So I'm a drug addict, that's why I'm on this chan. I've convinced my psych that I have ADD and I've been prescribed Ritalin. I did this simply to get my hands on Ritalin so I could get a prescription and I could save up the pills and binge on them on weekends.

Now because my father died of a heart attack and Ritalin acts on your heart, my psych wants me to get an ECG (where they check your heart and see if the medication has affected it negatively). I've done two ECGs before, one before starting the medication and one after. But now they've upped the dosage they want me to go back and do another ECG. But since the last one I've been binging on the Ritalin in the weekends and sometimes during the week as well, on lower dosages though.

What I'm basically asking is whether this would show up on the scan. Should I stop taking Ritalin a couple days before the scan? Or would the doctors notice that I haven't taken any. I basically want to fool the ECG into showing that the Ritalin hasn't been doing damage to my heart, so I can keep getting the pills prescribed. This will sound stupid but I personally don't care whether or not it's been damaging to my heart, I just want to keep getting the pills so I can have fun on the weekends.

Long story short, I have to get a heart scan to see if my usage of Ritalin has affected my heart negatively. Is there a way to fool the scan and make it seem like I'm okay on the medication even if I might not be? Could benzos help?

I've been taken an aspirin daily for sometiime now and never had any problems. And lately I've been popping Benzos quite heavily to the point where I have minor balance problems and developed hiccups yesterday. So last night I decided to grab four tall boys and a black and mild downed that and chifed the shitty cigarillo. Then I decided to pop a few more benzos and a couple propranalols.

I started feeling pretty good for about half an hour until I started hiccuping uncontrollably. I had to get up and vomit. It was this mixture of beer,blood, a couple of undisolved pills and food. I woke up this morning feeling fine despite vomiting blood three times.

What the hell happened?

I've had bouts of sleep paralysis since I was a little kid (in my late 20's now), I can usually get myself out pretty fast by using the "Kill Bill" method of just concentrating on moving a toe or a finger then working my way up the limb. I've never had hallucinations when I get the paralysis and it's usually not even an issue unless I'm sleeping on my stomach and freak out about smothering in my pillow.

A couple of days ago I had it happen and got myself out of it pretty quick then rolled over and fell asleep, it happened again almost immediately after I fell back to sleep. I wasn't expecting it to happen again so I panicked and somehow did a sit-up/crunch so that my upper torso was off the bed, I was fully conscious but unable to move until I calmed down and relaxed my abs. I went through this paralysis 'cycle' three more times before I just said, "fuck it" and got up.

I'm not exhausted normally and usually only snore if my allergies are acting up. My dad was having punching and kicking episodes in his sleep a while back and said his doctors were saying Parkinson's. I'm not having any issues like that but I've got shit luck as far as health is concerned.

Is this something I should bring up with my doc? I mean of course its noteworthy but are there other things that I would/should notice if its something serious?

Some information about hair loss:

Even if people are convinced that hair loss is genetic, I do not think that this is 100% true. There are undoubted cases that are genetic, but in my opinion, this is only a very small percentage of humanity. Most people nowadays underestimate food and physical exercise. These two factors play a very
important role, even if others have a completely different opinion.

Food rich in zinc, B vitamins, C, D3 + K2, B3, B12, A, fiber, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and clean protein can stop / prevent hair loss. This also applies to other internal as well as external diseases. Healthy fats should not be forgotten.

Avoid sugar-containing food, refined carbohydrates, soy, wheat, conventional meats + fish, trans fats and pasteurized dairy products as much as possible.

In my youth, as many others, I watched daily pornographic material on the Internet. Today I would say I was addicted at this time. It was much easier to watch such movies and satisfy my sexual desire for a short time, instead of speaking to women outside the computer screen and making real experiences. After a while I noticed that my hair became thinner and fall out after one or more ejaculations. So I started the search engine and looking for terms like semen/sperm + hair loss and quickly found hundreds or thousands of articles reported that many nutrients lost after ejaculation (including zinc).

Yea, just be careful. Cat will freak, valium, whateve benzo, .25 mgs should be about right and safe enough. just a tiny bit will help. I cat is not allergic to it which is unlikely as it is in people. Get these off and And wake up much happier.

Had areas in the mountain brushy kinda areas, where if you didn't get at least one tick spring summer earlier fall, you didn't go in there.

Things are worthless parasites. Flies serve a purpose in the scheme of things, they are pests but do, mosquitoes do not, etc.

The hippy dippy way of doing things is to coat them densely in vaseline and it will choke the tick to death in about an hour and they fall off. You could just rip them out with tweezers but depending on your cat, it may not like that. The match thing doesn't work from my experience. At least not very reliably. Not sure if you can use vaseline given the cat would lick it off.

I'd just say hold it down and rip them out. That is what I do with my dogs but dogs respect me. Most cats are terribly owned and mannered.

I am more than halfway through my pregnancy and I am still smoking weed (only weed).
I tried to stop for a bit during my first couple of months, but I was absolutely miserable. I felt sick all the time, throwing up pretty much everything I ate or drank. I ended up dehydrated and had to go in for fluids. I went back to smoking weed every day and I've been eating, drinking, and feeling much better.
I literally can't go a day without smoking otherwise I'll endlessly puke up spit and stomach acid.
This is because I’m experience more severe morning sickness that isn’t going away as the pregnancy progresses. The baby takes so much out of you as its growing inside. Which causes loss of nutrients in the mother. If you’re lacking in nutrients, you get sick.
I know many people would just tell me I’m having “withdrawls” from not smoking weed.

I'd like to take some breaks from smoking here and there because my tolerance is going way up, and I cough a lot.
I've tried literally everything the doctor told me to help with the nausea caused by morning sickness and nothing worked.

I need advice as to how to feel better.
Only a couple more months until I can meet my little girl.

The mass burst on monday. I had a lidocaine patch on it and when I took it off it just sprayed the nastiest smelling liquid ever. I went to the ER,it was still pouring out nasty shit. They sent me to a bigger hospital and I've been there on IV antibiotics since then. They took me to surgery to clean it and pack it. It took 4 big rolls of gauze to pack it and when they unpacked it the next day 2 shots of dilaudid didn't even touch the pain. It turns out that it was a big ol' abscess caused by a uti that kept going up. So there. No cancer but this damn thing has to be packed twice a day. At least it is only taking most of a roll a gauze now instead of 4.
