Are you a martial artist or a Martialist?
Because clearly being a Martialist is superior, as you can claim to be able to beat any traditional or Mixed martial artist by shooting them. Also you don't need to train, or have any ranks or qualifications, which I think suits this guy fine.
But it does require constant posing with a knife for any photo opportunity, and lifting weights with your eyebrow.

He must be very, very good indeed, to have no rank in any style, and no military or law enforcement history, and to have never even been in a fight, and still be telling martial arts instructors and military types they're doing it wrong.

Obviously he was kicked out of his wing chun school out of sheer jealousy, that he can be just that good while never training.
