Mendes has a disadvantage the longer the fight goes, he only started training after Aldo got hurt.

I'll call Lawler for a R4 TKO though. I sure fucking hope Lawler manages to finish MacDonald. If Rory wins the welterweight title, it may very well never draw again, and he's a good enough fighter to win a decision (hell, their last fight was a split decision).

McGregor has every possible advantage for the fight with Mendes, short of Mendes coming in injured too. He's been training for a title fight for so long and has five round conditioning going in. He took a little too long finishing Siver, and Mendes is a level above that, but I still think McGregor will win it. If he does, it'll probably be really late (fourth, fifth, or decision). If Mendes wins, it'll have to be early. I can definitely see McGregor getting rocked in the first or second, and it may come down to whether the ref stops it or not at the first sign of a guy being rocked. I'm guessing Big John or Herb Dean will be reffing though, so I'm not too worried.

I honestly don't think Aldo will be able to make weight without IVs.

Haha I'm loving this, Mcgregor being the betting favorite, gonna make some sweet easy cash. Mmmm thx mendes

Yeeeah not really, Mendes is probably always in shape, not full 5 rounds shape but in shape. If something, I learned over the years from my friends is that wrestlers are something else. The brute strength and conditioning they have is just scary.

IF Conor can stop the takedowns, which will be... difficult but doable, he still has to survive the right hand. Don't sleep on Moneys stand up... many have.

Aldo said it well. ''I am the king, Chad is the prince, Mcgregor is the clown.''

Five round cardio is something that disappears FAST. It takes at least three months of nonstop training to get it and only three weeks to lose it. Just because he's a wrestler, it means nothing. Johny Hendricks is a wrestler too, and look at his title matches with Robbie Lawler. He sure as shit did not have five round conditioning for either of those fights.

Well we saw with Hendricks is that he likes to get fat, which would mean he aint always training. His work ethics are obviously different for each fight. Also it depends on the human body, if you got more white or red muscles which makes you last longer or the other.

Either way, in a few days we will see who was right but I'm pretty confident that Mendes will be able to go all 5 at the right pacing.

Comparing Mendes to Hendricks in their work ethic, off-time, and diet is completely disingenuous. Hendricks openly admits to being a BBQ slob and there are literally pictures from events where him and other Alpha Male members have their shirts off and it's clear he is one of the worst offenders of down-time blowing up in weight.

Though I don't think Chad will be at 100%, he will be damn near close enough and I think he is mentally ready to fight to his best.

I'm betting McGregor get's gassed out from Mendes nasty wrestling, the drunken Irish yobs boo like crazy everytime Mendes lays on top of him. Anybody could win but likely Mendes 3rd round submission.

Brendan Schaub's podcast, who surprisingly is almost never wrong betting on fights, is predicting McGregor is likely fighting hurt after a full camp, will get wrestlefucked until the 3rd round when Mendes will fake out McGregor with feint takedown and surprise KO him, then UFC loses their biggest star because last time McGregor lost he disappeared.

Didn't know Schaub had a podcast, is he officially retired? I haven't paid much attention to him since Rogan held an impromptu intervention for Schaub on his own podcast and pretty much told him that he sucked, will never contend for a title, and that he's severely risking his health just to take fights and get KO'd for the money.

I'm pretty certain this is exactly what will happen. I'm actually a fan of McGregor's style, reminds me of Prince Naseem Hamed and Nick Diaz but not a fan of his mouth. Anyway, I think Chad wrestlefucks him to a decision for the W and Connor will almost certainly blame it on an injury. Don't get me wrong, I really wanna see Connor win this, just being realistic about it.

I think Rory wins a close decision by being that much hungrier than Lol'r. Again, I'm more of a Lol'r fan but realistically he got the title and I just have the feeling that's all he wanted. I don't see him going 4 or more title defenses. Rory wasnt hungry enough in the 1st fight and still damn near took the W... He'll come into this fight starving so to speak. Rory by split decision.

Almeida by TKO, Nelson by Sub, Matt Brown by 2nd degree Intentional Manslaughter...

Mendes totally wrestlefucked McGregor, and he is literally a manlet almost 1/2 the size of McGregor.

McGregor needs to work on that ground game. Edgar is a manlet and will get KO'd by any punch Conor throws but Aldo is no joke, if McGregor can stuff takedowns properly then he can survive Aldo but still it looks to me like McGregor shouldn't be in this division, he towered over manlet Mendes like a Gr. 8 kid fighting a 25yr old NFL player.

Conor looked fucking terrible, easily taken down and just lied there eating elbows. If he fights a guy who isn't a midge, and has gas, and has Jiujutsu hes screwed. Damn son go take some Eddie Bravo classes

God damn, Mendes wrestlefucked McGregor for literally 98% of that fight, then got completely blown up and let McGregor tee off on his face for 20 seconds. Aldo is going to wax McGregor.
