mfw there are people who actually paid just to see that fight.

>>what is no striking defense?
>>what is a can?
>>what is the hype train?

No way would that have happened against Holm or Cyborg. No way.

Eventually though, as fun as it is to see these 30 second webm's the UFC is gonna have to do something about it because people will start wanting more. Like that episode of the Simpsons when Homer becomes a professional boxer.

I guess everyone better start getting hyped for Ronda-Tate 3.

That's funny. Holm is complete garbage. All she does is whiff kicks in the general direction of her opponents, and when they try to shoot for a takedown, her defense is adequate enough to not get taken down. Ronda's takedowns require a hell of a lot more than "adequate" defense and she's not gonna be scared of some leg kicks that aren't even going to land.

Cyborg is a moot point because she's never going to fight at 135.

It's funny though, people complained about that mayweather-pacquaio fight for not having a finish, and you are going to complain about this fight for being too short. not every fight can be hearns-hagler rd 1 over and over again.

the rest of the card looked good on paper, and i think overall it delivered, especially compared to certain hyped up boxing PPV's... 7 fights on the ppv card seems like good value, but it sucks if you are fighting to stay awake til 1:30 am ET.

No one's said Ronda isn't a draw. In fact, everyone has been saying she's UFC's top draw for over a year now. Stop talking out of your ass, you're one of the worst posters on this board considering the shit you keep saying.

I wasn't talking about anyone here, but Meltzer keeps talking about people that thought things like Weidman was the real draw on the first two cards Rousey was on. Even I'm a little surprised she outdrew 189 though, that card was stacked from top to bottom.

UFC still pays Rousey shit. Weidman get's $490,000 per fight just to win/show and Rousey is $120k. Either Rousey has a lucrative back end deal with PPV commissions or she's just getting screwed.

Huh, I thought Rousey was getting $500,000 per fight, but I guess that must've been after PPV and gate cuts.

For Ronda's fight vs Zingano at 184, it looks like according to the California athletic commission, Rousey was paid 130k, including her bonus (cat got 100k and would have gotten another 100k if she won...), but then UFC claims she got over $1 million based on the ppy buys.

>California commission tells me @RondaRousey guaranteed purse is 65,000 dollars and 65,000 more with a win.

Interesting that Cat's base pay was so much more, considering Rousey's seniority in both MMA and UFC. I guess Rousey just negotiated a deal to get less base pay, but a bigger PPV cut.
