I burned through it the night it released.

It's pretty good. It's got the same feel as Regular Show but without having to hide the adult humor. Also the situations aren't eldritch horrors.

Everything else I will suspend my disbelief for, but for a national broadcast relay to not be carrying an OSHA gun is way too FUCKING BABYISH

This. We are still talking about the Nolan movies, right? Because in those movies Gotham is literally being run by criminals, no amount of charity or social programs were going to solve that issue. Plus getting involved in the politics of Gotham would only have gotten him killed, it is a plot point in TDK that Dent was able to go as far as he did only because Bruce managed to weaken the criminal's grip on the city.

And yet he spends basically no time beating up politicians, businessmen or cops.

Instead the focus is on beating up some random ninja foreigner who showed up last week, a random homeless clown who showed up last week, a Marxist bodybuilder who showed up last week, a lawyer with PTSD and a psychiatrist. None of this has to do with the prevailing socioeconomic system and the people who run it.

Just admit that the dumb comic book premise makes no sense, trying to rationalize it like this only makes it sound even more ridiculous.

I'm aware that there's already a thread for documentaries, but I'm more specifically looking for "making of" or behind the scenes docs about single pieces of work. I really like putting these on in the background while doing other things, so youtube links for a playlist are preferred but they can be from any source.
I know most of the best are ones about films, but subject matter is anything goes, albums, films, games, books, fuckin architecture, whatever, as long as it (mostly) focuses on one single work or project. I'll post a few to get the ball rolling.

Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West - Pitchfork Classic

Documentary about the making of Rocket League (Noclip in general has some pretty good docs like this)

This documentary is far more interesting that the actual movie it covers. Another good one is Burden of Dream, the BTS documentary about the filming of Werner Herzog's Fitzcarraldo.

BTW, giving a thought on the matter I realize that I have never watched The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?, that one crowdfunded documentary about the Superman movie with Nic Cage that never happenes. Dunno, is it any good?

Tell me about VICE. Why is there such a dedicated base of people who hate their content so much they're singularly incapable of not viewing every single video and post they made to reeee? I cannot think of a single other company or IP that has such a huge number of consistent viewers who absolutely hate everything they do.

I've always known it existed and liked their and I've not really noticed a change in content or slant since I started having a passing interest in their stuff in 2012 but maybe it had already fallen by then. But I doubt it, seeing as it started as a punk zine. I didn't start watching it before but is it really as simple as Gavin becoming retarded and taking a slice of the fans with him? Fans who definitely aren't ass-pained at all to have such a seething hatred for a media company instead of I dunno just watching something else. I mean even their pre-split content is not really any different.

Is it just a case of collective brain damage as these people fell for "cOnSerVatiSM iS tHE neW PUnk rocK" meme and genuinely are disconnected from reality enough to think they stayed alternative and punk rock as VICE went SJW while their leader is creating far-right paramilitary groups and has takes like "why not an ethnostate?", "all muslims lie about being tolerant (literally the Onion "decoy muslims" video but actually". and "trans people shouldn't be allowed to talk to children"

Why does VICE make these people so god damn upset? It's such a shocking level of absolute MALDING over a split that happened over a decade ago. I can't tell if it's people just finding any reason to hate VICE or people who hate this stuff and never watched VICE coming to brigade it. But I mean look at the comments here lmaooo

Vice might have had quite anarchic beginnings but eventually one has to grow up. Any creative, whether it be a band or an artist or a writer or whatever, as they get more success and power, will want to address more serious topics as they feel that weight upon their shoulders.

As far as I can see, the critism of vice (if you can call it critism) is always regarding those two contrasting personalities, the original super cool libertine drug using hipster, or the new super ethical liberal investigative journalist.

So many comments follow that comparison, "you used to be A, now you are B." Or "how can you say A when you are B?" Or "You are pretending this story is about A when all you really care about is B"

Secondly, Although I dont know anything about the true integrity of the company, its much easier for people to question, as what once was a small company, is now a massive one, with investors ranging from walt disney, to the shady shadyman Rupert Murdoch.

But why do people hate vice? IMO because they represent one of the strongest opponents of the right wing. They are hip, cool, and down with the kids, which is to say they have a huge following with the younger audience. This image of the future is terrifying to the right wing. They want to be the cool kids, and have been trying to redesign themselves thus, cue "ALT RIGHT". They are desperate to discredit and ruin the image of their opponents, and the best way to do that to vice is to say that they are moronic hipsters who are being controlled by media corperations.

If you want a decent satire of VICE, you should check out Nathan Barley, as old as it is.

I'm trying to figure out if this episode of Seinfeld I'm thinking of is a real episode of the show or some kind of hallucination or dream.

Jerry, George, and Elaine are standing in Jerry's apartment near the kitchen. Jerry (or somebody) drops a quarter. When he does he looks down, as does George and Elaine. Jerry looks toward the floor and throws his hands up like, "Where did it go?" And George says something like, "I've heard about this. Someone drops something on the ground and they NEVER see it again!" He also, being animated, wails his arms all around when he says this, acting like this is the worst day of his life so far, and what else could possibly go wrong.

Elaine says, "Well, it coundn't have just disappeared into thin air. Its gotta be somewhere. I mean we haven't even left the apartment."

This is a side story in this episode, so later on in the episode they're back in Jerry's apartment and Elaine is looking under the refrigerator, looking distraught and she stands up and like, "I dont get it. Its gotta be here"

At the end of the episode Kramer comes sliding through the door and slams it behind him and the audience cheers and applauds. He says something like, "can I get some cereal" or something, and when he takes a box of cereal off the shelf something catches his eye and he bends down and picks something up. He goes, "Hey! I found a quarter." and holds it up and they all look at each other with surprise on their faces and that bass starts playing (end pause, outro music, credits, etc).

If anyone knows what episode I'm speaking of please help me out with a link or wiki because I cant seem to find it anywhere it's almost like it doesn't even exist now but I know I saw it

Thanks
