Shows great. You guys are seriously digging to find flaws. My roommate and I have been laughing for the entire season. Not one episode were we bored or upset after. The show has been consistant as fuck since it started with only slight dips and raises in quality. I'm shocked that nerds are on here claiming of some drastic shift in quality. Lmao. Unreal. Psh.

agreed, I honestly can't think of a show that has the consistency of Curb. I was almost thinking Seinfeld but the show took an obvious dip(but still good) once Larry left after season 7 and had a couple slightly meh episodes season 8 and 9.

Downhill is a movie that is so bad it makes Sherlock and Watson look like a fucking masterpiece. Sherlock and Watson was such a financial and theatrical disaster that even Netflix said "we'll pay you NOT to put that on our streaming service." This movie is all about Will Ferrell and his family are vacationing in the Swiss Alps and the only reason why they're even vacationing in the Swiss Alps is because Will's character is going thru some sort of massive midlife crisis at the moment coping with the fact how his father died off screen and its never explained how or why his father was dead and for most of the movie its barely if ever mentioned again. In a weird way, it almost leaves you the viewer thinking that Will's character in this movie was already like this LONG before his father died off screen and was using it as an excuse to go thrill seeking despite his family not being all that into it.

There is ZERO chemistry in this movie...NONE! You got Julia Louis-Dreyfus from Seinfeld who doesn't look nearly as attractive or engaging to watch as she was back when she was playing the character Elaine. She's Will's wife in this movie and throughout the entire movie they're either screaming at each other or awkwardly uncomfortable in each other's company. Nothing about their relationship even remotely feels real.

There is an entire subplot in this movie where Julia is openly cheating and stallioning her husband and its brought up maybe twice in the whole film where its brought up AS A JOKE that's near the end of the film that never gets acknowledged by Will because the entire movie is designed to make you think the Antagonist of this film is Will when literally EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THIS FAMILY IS EXTREMELY UNLIKABLE. The reason for this is because there is an Avalanche that almost kills a ton of people and in the most fight or flight, heat of the moment, hair trigger response Will runs away from the Avalanche instead of just holding onto his family where they all just die together but since no one actually died during the natural disaster this film's plot then tries to morally dignify if what Will did was wrong or not

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS EVEN MATTER?! You either die holding onto your family or you die attempting to flee to safety either way DEAD IS DEAD. The dumbest thing is despite surviving this Avalanche THEY STILL FEEL OBLIGATED TO CONTINUE VACATIONING.

Titanic is semi-shit. It would have been worse if Cameron's original plans had gone through. He was gonna make much more of a straight action movie out of that bitch.

In many ways it still is but a WHOLE lot of drama was added and fleshed out and frankly that's why it's such a long movie. At least it was for the time, it's barely a little above average by current day standards.

Terminator is just a smaller scale movie than T2, like Alien it's definitely not any worse than the sequel.
But if you're a normie or a pre-pubescent film-brainlet you rant and rave about how much better Cameron's sequels are than the originals.
They, aren't. They're just... more, and always crossed with the action genre.
More works great for an action comedy like True Lies. Because True Lies can straddle the line, it can earnestly be the very thing it's spoofing on. While the original, La Totale! while just as funny is more of a straight comedy.

Crossed with action, bombastic, but fundamentally just bigger and more of the same... It's like this man was genetically engineered for making the ideal Hollywood sequel.
And the poor guy. Craves to make something original, dumps everything he has into Avatar, but it ends up just being a mishmash of other shit. Dances with Wolves, Fern Gully, Pocahontas, Roger Dean/World of Warcraft's floating tree islands and about half a dozen other movies and books.
He just wasn't made for this.

So what does he do? He uses his avatar money to go on expeditions to the bottom of the goddamn ocean and writes and produces an Alita adaptation. Poor, defeated Cameron.
But on the bright side, he'll soon be doing a follow-up to his own work, and we all know how well he handles follow-ups.

>what's wrong with terminator?
Oh right I didn't really address Terminator. He definitely aped Harlan Ellison, and while that dude was monstrously litigious, I think he had a better point here than in most of the other cases he got legal on people's asses.
I think the connection to "Demon with a glass hand" is by far the most dubious, but "Soldier of Tomorrow" is deeply, deeply incriminating. Skynet is derived from "I have no mouth and I must scream"

So, nothing's wrong with it per se but it's absolutely an adaptation.

And there was nothing more certain in the world while Ellison was alive: you take from Harlan Ellison, you damn well credit Harlan Ellison.

I thought S4 was pretty weak, personally. Felt like a "okay, time to link this shit up with Breaking Bad" season, I didn't really buy it and the character development seemed rushed.
BUT maybe that's just the sloppy transitional season that always had to happen, now it's a new beginning and I'm ready to see some crazy adventures with Saul Goodman. I'll just have to pretend it makes sense to me that S3 Jimmy became S5 Jimmy

not campy and fun like Dagon, not that and interesting like In the Mouth of Madness, just some generic uninspired attempt to do Annihilation with all the stuff that made it fresh taken out.

I hear it's supposed to set up a new Lovecraftian movie universe but it did a shit job of that too.

I'd rather just have competent horror directors making cosmic horror films featuring Lovecraftian elements over these whack attempts at turning actual Lovecraft stories (which all have cool concepts but dated executions) into "modern" pieces.

If people would make a Lovecraft "cinematic universe", it'd better be done in a retro style set in period times like The Lighthouse.

I think modern setting would be more affordable being able to use settings as is rather than having to budget effects artists to give it an authentic old timey feel. I think a NYC sewer filth god movie would be cool. Vivid organic decay.

I've been watching some violent movies lately with the excuse that they're classic cult movies. I just watched taxi driver, scarface and clockwork orange for the first time on the last days and now I'm feeling like watching something REALLY FUCKED UP (and that doesn't have animal cruelty in it, because that's my limit, I get literally triggered), I wanna FEEL ALIVE, gnome sayian.

So far the most fucked up movie I ever watched was Antichrist, which has a scene where willem dafoe gets his balls crushed and then ejaculates blood, all on câmera. So I wanna see something more fucked up than that, while also being a good movie possibly.

Hobo with a Shotgun- Grind house gore and lots of corn syrup blood.

Obviously, "Alien" is the first movie that comes to mind when discussing cats in film.

Define a "show" because I'm sure there are plenty of animated cat shows in the world. There was a 90s cartoon called Catdog. There is a webseries called Cat Agent.

There was a musical, and now a movie, entitled Cats. There were jellicle cats.

Movie Help

There is a Vietnam war movie (fictional) that follows a French squadron as they retreat from behind enemy lines to home base. The Squad leader is a French-German ex-Wehrmacht soldier.

It is an older movie but is noted for the realism and accuracy of its portrayal of combat engagements and fleeing ambushes. So much so that it used to be shown to French servicemen.

I found it through IMBD message boards but now it's like the movie never existed at all. I seriously cannot find it.

Check out Man with a Movie Camera! It's the very first film of its kind, and a real classic.

I found a version that has more modern music, I think the original soundtrack is better, but this ones agrees more with my hangover for some reason

I thaught this was the original version, but apparently the film was originally silent, and soundtracks got added later. This one is by Neyman
