This movie was super dumb and shitty, but all I've heard anywhere is that its sooo good. The choreography was garbage, the story was beyond retarded, and how am I supposed to believe that half the fuckin Triad are hot chicks?

I'm surprised by how garbage it is considering I liked Headshot, and the Raid films. This was a phoned in piece of shit in comparison.

It was so stunningly bad I had to come make this thread to purge myself of the feelings it left me with.

I'm gonna make a new thread because I'm confident that most of you here are capable of discussing the movie like adults.

Who saw it? Thoughts?

lol i cant believe i read this whole thread. i watched the movie like a week ago and i thought it was really great. what stood out the most to me was the beautiful attention to detail in the cinematography of each scene. i typically refer to this genre as "capeshit" and dont watch any of the super hero movies, but a friend with good taste told me this one was worth watching so i did. i also liked the main villain having a valid argument, as did apparently many people. i think in 2018 we're a little overdue for a successful hollywood film of this caliber with predominantly black cast. the comedy was also infrequent enough as to not be annoying. one thing i was a little disappointed by was the lack of a closing wakanda scene where all the different tribes get their blessings/demerits from the king or whatever. all we got was a short shot of him walking into the throne room. another disappointer was the UN scene where someone is like "lol what can farmer nation do" and t'challa and his gf just give each other a "knowing look", like wtf i was really expecting them to demo some insane technology, but nope, scene ends.

so there were a few moments i would say i would prefer to have been different for my own movie tastes but overall it was a very good movie, i would say like 8.5/10

anybody chexk it out yet?

I thought at first it was cheesy, then I liked it after its first couple scenes and was willing to watch. Midway I felt it was kind of confusing in terms of random scene transitions in the same way over and over, mostly when people open doors but at the end the entire thing it was full donny darko to me. Cool stuff.

Mainly, if anything I liked the dialogue/writing/script etc. and there is a LOT of suspense that many many times ends like a ruined orgasm. its different, for sure.

any other halloween spooky shit you guys are into right now

If Sunny=Seinfeld, what's the point of Mac?

I have an ongoing discussion with my friend:

-Dennis=Jerry because he's the ringleader while being disinterested and narcissistic, lot of shallow relationships, decent body but shit personality, most successful of them
-Dee=Elaine with physical comedy and being unavailable to the male lead (Jerry's ex/Dennis sister), occasional freakouts
-Charlie=George because he's the bottom rung, the idiot, weird interests and hobbies (slime and rats vs public bathrooms), some Kramer with his occasional brilliance
-Frank=Newman with similar body type, nefarious schemes, and happy go lucky outlook

So what the hell is Mac?

It's canon that dennis and mac are both Jerry. Deal with it.

Also I just watched the season finale.
I honestly thought Mac's dad was going to come out of the shadows and shank him.

Zombie Island is kinda scary for the fact that the zombies are the good guys all along and the seemingly good people turn into weird cat people.

Witch's Ghost is still my favorite Scooby Doo film, and one of my favorite Tim Curry roles, but I wouldn't say it's scary.

Aside from Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost, there's The Scooby Doo Project. It's a parody of The Blair Witch Project that CN made to show between episodes of a 24-hour Scooby Doo marathon last century. It's fairly meta and makes fun of the show and the horror genre in general.

Oh my god I actually love commercials. I have a massive collection of alcohol related commercials, they are my favorite.

Here are some funny commercials I know about

Wonder Boner
"My wife would like that"

Johnson Boating
"You, your kids, and your johnson"

And now an assortment of some of my favorite alcohol related commercials!

Michelob Beer
This commercial was actually quite famous. It's essentially a bunch of random meaningless 2 second scenes cut together and everyone thought it would be a horrific failure of an ad but it was wildly successful. It pioneered that whole random-cut-together-scenes style that's still really popular. Also it has Phil Collins.

Delirium Tremens Beer

Heineken Duet

Jim Beam Bold Choices
With Willem Dafoe!

Stella Artious Adrien Brody

Anyone else watch this schlock? I've been watching since the beginning and have really enjoyed it. No, its not some highbrown show with a big budget but its pretty fucking fun and its a pretty damn good zombie show in its own right compared to what is out there. If you like horror comedies, zombies, and campy shit. Its not really noteworthy which I feel is why its probably not talked about but not everything has to be crazy good sometimes good is good enough for me.

Their characters are all decent with quite a few standout characters and they've kept most of their cast for the whole run and they've actually grown a lot character wise. The acting isn't fantastic but I've grown to love certain characters. Murphey cracks me up changing colors every season.

The comedy doesn't always hit and its pretty campy but that is kind of its charm. Seeing a ton of different types of zombies, sometimes in one off episodes, is cool too instead of one single type for a whole show and while the scenarios are outrageous they are fun to watch play out. Lots of one off episodes too with little call backs in later seasons which is pretty rare these days. Its a low budget zombie show that knows it is and takes pride in it. Great show to just get highdat z weed doe and zone out to.

I love how they have progressed throughout the seasons and think they have done a pretty good job keeping it fresh the whole time and mixing it up a lot even if things do get ludicrous sometimes but I like how every season is radically different. Some seasons are better than others of course but all have at least a few gems.

I think its worth at least trying out for a couple of seasons if you have nothing else to watch.

I have been having a hard time finding good movies to watch while tripping - I found the last time I took LSD the trip was strongly influenced by what I had on the TV. When I turn to google everything that comes up is bad vibes - The Wall, The Shining, etc. I'm not looking for something a little less intense...

Here are some I have enjoyed so far: The Big Lebowski, Jackie Brown, The Breakfast Club was especially good with nitrous, My Dinner With Andre (I thought it would be a tad on the boring side but was I was really into it), and Fear & Loathing. Some of these movies really draw you in.

What I didn't enjoy: Enter the Void (too much incest/that jump scare with the truck but cool imagery), Apocalypse Now and most Vietnam movies (good on DXM, bad on LSD), and that episode of TNG where Picard gets tortured by the Cardasians.

I usually take around 7-8 hits so I guess I am more prone to freaking out. Any Suggestions? I am thinking about something like Being John Malkovich.
