Anyone else watch it? Just noticed season 4 is finally gonna start here. Still can't believe Ciro is dead though :(. Great fucking show if you haven't seen it. If interested you can torrent all three seasons easily or I know 1-2 used to be on Netflix and might still be there.

Tarantino always bitches about how he left the question open-ended on purpose, and how he gets a million people asking him what's in the case but only a couple have actually suggested to him what they thought it could be so what is it?
My guess is Mia Wallace's soul. Marcellus was retrieving it for her, taking it back from the producer who took it from her when she was young and stupid and trying to make it as an actress.

It should have been 2 and a half hours of nothing but Brad Pitt driving around Los Angeles. With this movie and that Ford VS Ferrari movie it seems awesome driving scenes are back on the menu.
Besides that? Eh.

Finished the season. 2nd half was stronger and much more action packed but this is the type of Star Wars I like as I did with Rogue One. Even with Baby Yoda, which is integral to the show’s storyline and Mando’s character development, this is the side of Star Wars that I wish they would show more of and I’m glad they did with this show at least. I’m not holding out hope for an R-rated/TV-MA rated Star Wars but this comes close to that at least.

>>413100
Yeah basically. Disney gonna make a shit ton of money just off of that especially with all the merch that’s coming out this month.

He looked like he was about to cry when he was talking about Yoda talking to Luke. Likee he was somehow 100% oblivious to the fact that Disney thought it'd actually be a great idea for Yoda to randomly wait 20 fucking years to speak to him again.

>Gets to the part where they hyperspace ram Snoke's ship
>Doesn't bring up why they didn't use that to destroy the deathstar
>Says word for word "I want to kiss Rian Johnson. FUCK thats good! Goddamn thats good!"

>Says he legit cried in the theater when Finn and Rose kissed.
Wow.

What a fucking sellout. He needs to grow some balls and stand up to Disney.

Thoughts? I think it was okay, overall a difficult and challenging watch.

Willem Dafoe's acting was superb and outclasses Pattisons completely and it kinda ruined the dynamic between the characters for me. Pattison did an okay job but was not completely believable in many of the more poignant scenes.

Some real nice dialogue in this film too, heavily influenced by classic literature and it's quite refreshing.
also it's super gay.

That sounds interesting. I know that he WAS tapped to direct that Nosferatu remake. However as I said, its obviously suffered delays - to the point where he went ahead and made a whole entire film while the suits and the bean-counters sort this shit out. I was seriously hoping against hope that things were gonna sort themselves out, but if what you're telling us about his next project being a Viking drama is indeed true, then that pretty much confirms the worst. Development Hell for Nosferatu. Likely never to be made (as theyve been in perpetual pre-production ever since announcing Eggers as the director, so if things still havent gotten off the ground at THIS point, I doubt they ever will and we can consider that project dead as a doornail.

Such a shame. Hes absolutely PERFECT to helm a project like that. Then, he also sounds perfect to helm a project like you've just described as well. Especially working with the producer of HEREDITARY! I'm sure it'll be fantastic anyway. Like I said, Eggers imo is the brightest, most promising new director out there rn and I can't WAIT to see what he does next. Cuz I legitimately believe he has what it takes to become one of the all time greatest filmmakers. A one or a kind auteur.

Excellent film. People were going expecting lovecraftian and were slightly disappointed that there wasn't any antediluvian evil springing forth on the screen kind of misses the point of what lovecraft was about, *puts on glasses*, which was the human descent into madness and the fear of the unknown. It's very clear that Eggers was going for this angle in a more subtle approach.

But yeah, tantalizing screenplay and I really loved the ending.

it's good folks

i don't get really what people are complaining about with the visual style, i think it adds a surreal quality that makes the mixed-media production look much better and the at times stiff acting less jarring

I don't think it was never supposed to be a high art masterpiece, just a cute movie based on a cute musical, which i think it hands down is

would put a lot of money on it becoming cult

why are people so cynical these days?

For those of you who still care about Star Wars. The latest movie poster was recently leaked for Episode IX which is due for release in the latter half of this year. Along with it an image depicting some of the new attires for the main heroes.

It makes me wonder, though, when the trailer is going to be released and if we're going to get a sub-title soon.

Dude. The best way to watch shows that meander off into the sunset of dissatisfaction is to just trail off.

This is the only correct way to watch Lost, and probably also Game of Thrones.
Future generations can bail on GoT in the later seasons knowing that no, it doesn't pay off shit and only cheapens the rest of what it had going on.

Future generations will also have that fucking book we've been denied for 15 years.

interesting article I just found here on Forbes kind of pertaining to earlier discussion above;? source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2020/01/12/box-office-star-wars-rise-of-skywalker-is-the-first-1-billion-disappointment/
> Kathleen Kennedy’s leadership at Lucasfilm has yielded 5 movies that will gross just under $6 billion in global grosses.
>Inflation aside, that’s more than all six Peter Jackson Middle Earth flicks.
> That’s 35% of MCU’s $17 billion 22-movie cume.
> or 76% of the $7.723 billion earned by the eight Harry Potter movies.
“And those five moves include one super-sized smash (Force Awakens) and one huge miss (Solo), with all but Rise of Skywalker earning decent reviews and solid audience word-of-mouth.

Even with all the behind-the-scenes struggles,
I’d argue Rise of Skywalker is the only one that seems a victim of studio tug-of-wars.”

So, about JJ [Abrams] and KK, and RJ.
What the fuck really even was this take-turns directing for this trilogy?
is that not the most soft modern thing imaginable for hollywood to do lol
