Just when you thought WandaVision was the end, Disney+ has another Marvel limited series:

>Six months after being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Sam Wilson (Falcon) teams up with Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) in a worldwide adventure that tests their abilities and their patience.

Much like Captain America, Superman represent American ideals and not her reality, and often where these ideologies conflict do we find their best stories.

One of the earliest Superman stories was him going after war profiteers.

The thing is in this world money possibly has more pull than what superheros could muster. So every superhero has a fund and sponsors African children and goes to fund raisers, uses their copyrighted profits to help the children.
Now what if, what if, they see money like it is, and start to redistribute it on a large scale to help the poor nations and children of the world.
I think there would be an episode where they try and assassinate superman by secret government forces from different first world nations lol..

I just thought of another one. A Knight’s Tale is really underrated and it’s one of my favorite Heath Ledger films, which I got on DVD. It’s a fun feel good film that basically takes the elements of a sports film with an arena rock soundtrack and transporting it to the middle ages.

Man that had to be embarrassing that Hopkins won Best Actor, which I would agree he was probably the second best choice after Chadwick Boseman but he wasn’t there so they went off the air like that since the producers were probably expecting Boseman to win so they could do a tribute or something to fill the time.

Nomadland winning Best Director, Lead Actress and Picture were the right choices though. There’s something about Chloe Zhao’s directing that made this film feel so authentic almost like a documentary from using non-actors like Bob Wells playing himself, the locations that help portray isolation and the struggles Fern has to go through to maintain her van dwelling lifestyle, and using long tracking shots. Definitely need to watch Songs My Brother Taught Me and The Rider.

Frances McDormand was a no brainer to win lead actress. I always thought of her as the antithesis of Meryl Streep since they’re both great actresses in their own right though McDormand’s roles are much more low key compared to Streep’s high profile roles and she shines in Nomadland. The thing I appreciated about the film was that it was balanced in showing the positive and negative aspects of Fern’s lifestyle but it wasn’t glorifying nor denigrating it either.

Yeah my cousin and I watched it on Monday and it was really fucking good. Like it’s sad to see how Ruben had to deal with losing his hearing especially having to be isolated in that recovering deaf addicts community but it was nice to see him adjusting and doing well. I liked that one scene where him and the boy were banging on the metal slide. In the end, he preferred the silence over hearing bad quality sound with his implants so all that money he wasted on getting those implants was for nothing other than for Lou.

> Back in 2017, when it was reported that Amazon had bought the rights to “The Lord of the Rings”—winning a bidding war against Netflix—
>the number reported with that sale was $250 million.
>That number alone made it the most expensive television series ever,
>but later, the whole series would end up costing more than $1 billion due to production expenses (casting, producers, visual effects, etc.

> “The Lord of the Rings” film trilogy’s own Elijah Wood reacted to that particular figure during an interview, saying, “That’s crazy to me.”

>For context, the Peter Jackson trilogy grossed $2.92 billion worldwide.
>The combined budget for all three films was $281 million.

It amazes me that not only were the costs of those movies comparatively low, but also that they each costed pretty much the exact same amount (Two Towers was cheaper by $1 million than Fellowship and Return of the King). Jackson got insane mileage from both his actors and the CGI for that cost, incredible especially considering how much more expensive the Hobbit films were and how cartoony the CGI was considered even in theaters

>does this mean that I'm dumb?!?!?!?!?!?!?!????!?!?!!?!!?!?!?!????!?!?!??!

No, but I disagree with people who say ZSJL is a better movie than Endgame. Mind you, I'm not a fan of the MCU, but I respect the time it took to reach Endgame. If we had gotten ZSJL2 and 3, then I think we could have a conversation about what was better.

What was planned was supposed to be a cross between the Injustice and Final Crisis storylines. It also would have been a heist story just like Endgame. Knightmare Batman forms a rag team, and has Barry go back in time with the cosmic treadmill in order to warn past Bruce about Lois Lane and Apokolips.
