I found the entire 1st season of Denver the Last Dinosaur the 2018 reboot just on this website linked right here https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/denver-the-last-dinosaur/episodes/s1-e1 according to how the site works it requires a non american VPN in order to view and download the episodes so if you have a VPN manipulating device like Nord VPN you could convert all the episodes from this site onto a different site platform like "Mega" and then post them on Kimcartoon. For awhile they were airing clips of the dub (since this show is commissioned and aired in france so I have no idea if these episodes are in their native french or actually dubbed in English) onto this youtube channel but it hasn't been updated in over 7 months https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL9q9NtE1iudjJ5J0xXIQ-A/videos

Saw Big mouth because you recommended it as your favourite netflix animated show somewhere. Actually really enjoyed it, surpsingly. Thanks for the rec. Though I can understand why a lot of people don't like it. Wouldn't say it's my favorite Netflix animated series either (It,s Bojack in case anyone cares)

Hoping disenchantment stops living up to it's name, s1 was a dud. Not bad, just not funny or particularly interesting... I'll probably watch it at some point, but definitely not any time soon

Yeah Aaron McGruder's non-involvement in season 4 of The Boondocks like Dan Harmon's non-involvement in season 4 of Community certainly was the black sheep of the show. Hopefully now that he's back and they won't have the same restrictions on HBO Max that they did on Adult Swim, it should be a return of form for the show.

IMO the show went slowly downhill after the first season (which was pure gold). Instead of having fun with serious subjects a lot of episodes had themes and stories comparable to saturday morning cartoons. It just seemed like McGruder was creatively exhausted and needed more time to come up with better ideas, because a lot of the same ideas and characters were simply repeated or brought back as the show went on.

I didn't even bother with S4.

Don't know if it belongs here or in the capeshit general, but DCU's animated Harley Quinn series premiered this morning and... I like it.

It's like Brave and the Bold feel with a dash of Venture Bros. and more swearing/violence. The swearing isn't tacked on to be edgy imo, it works organically. Christopher Meloni playing a sadsack/overworked Comm. Gordon is pretty great. Alan Tudyk is getting those DC dollars as Joker (as well as Calendar Man & Mr. Nobody earlier in the year) and he's worth it. As someone who is against actors as voice actors I'm blown away by the actual talent. Jim Rash has found the perfect middle-ground between The Dean and The Riddler.

I mean, people talk like that in real life and these people are criminals. People cuss. Some every other word. Especially the types of people who they have cussing in the show. Its not unnatural for people to talk like that.

Hell Bunk and McNulty solved an entire murder with both of them just saying fuck in different ways and ain't no nigga talking shit about that scene.

Caught up with Harley Quinn since the second season premiered this month and it's only getting better and better. I like the New New Gotham storyline it's really reminiscent of the No Man's Land story from the comics. This weeks episode was Mr. Freeze-centric and while it doesn't come close to Heart of Ice it skims the surface of something deeper and melancholic. The voice cast is great (once you get over the initial non-accent on Harley, but she slips into it sometimes) and Alfred Molina straight up killed it as Mr. Freeze, even in the comedic moments.

Much like Hank Azaria is no long voicing Apu on The Simpsons, Jenny Slate will no longer be voicing Missy on Big Mouth and Kristen Bell will no longer be voicing Molly on Central Park - https://news.yahoo.com/jenny-slate-kristen-bell-no-111843922.html

Sucks they had to quit but I understand why they both had come to that decision. They'll at least recast Bell and Slate's roles with a black voice actresses. At least with Big Mouth, they can just explain that Missy went through puberty or something. As for Central Park, I haven't watched that yet but I'm sure they'll find a way as well.

Is there anything even wrong with this? This is about how they feel and the changes they decide to make, not about how we feel or whether these inconsequential changes will ever affect us or even get noticed. The people who are more outraged over the sincerity of the cast and show creators than they are about the issues of racism, can continue to be ignored.

On the bright side, I could probably draw and animate a few Beavis and Butthead's from scratch if I wanted to; so hey it's not like it takes up too many resources. Use Millton to made a few episodes, show him the door when they are finished, everyone makes a whole bunch of money, and so what if the American consumer suffers in the end. It's their fault, they're the ones who decided to be stupid. Shit, they kind of deserve it in a way: everyone laughs. It's what you get for being stupid, you get what you deserve.

The only reason the 2011 reboot failed was because it was on MTV whose target demo was teen girls watching trash reality shows. My college roommate and I watched it at the time, and it was totally fine.

I'm worried too. The 2011 reboot was pretty classic B&B just with them ripping on Jersey Shore and shit, but since that one failed I kinda feel like they're gonna take this new reboot in a shitty direction.

Tentatively watching out for the Jodie Daria spin-off. I think it could actually work with all the shit going on right now if they keep that dry Daria humor. Jodie's a good character. I just need more Jane tho.

Dear god, no.
One Piece is so intentionally cartoonish that trying to make a live action version is straight up blasphemous. That'd be almost as dumb as trying to make a 100% live action Who Framed Roger Rabbit; why?

While I'd be glad if the rumors are true that Billy West is coming back, I think Comedy Central made the right decision to not have John K be involved with the new series due to the sexual abuse allegations. Not to mention he's always had a reputation for being hard to deal with going into business for himself not meeting production deadlines and clashing with executives so I guess it's both a positive and negative. No one can deny how much of an influence Ren and Stimpy has had on television animation but I'm not sure how its humor and style would translate to today's audience.

The difference is that Harmon didn't have to deal with the same shit on Adult Swim that John K had to deal with on Nickelodeon due to the censorship and limitations imposed by Nick that forced John K to be more creative, which worked to his benefit but he also had Bob Camp to reign him in. When John K and Spumco left and Camp and Games Animation took over production, the quality went down unsurprisingly.

On the other hand, when John K has full creative control like he did with Adult Party Cartoon, he settles for lazy grossout humor without any of the cleverness and subversion that made the original memorable. I don't know how the reboot will be any good if John K and Camp aren't involved unless they bring back members of the original creative team and have a showrunner that is familiar with the show.

your interest in social correctness obviously outweighs my appreciation of creative freedom. I can watch something Once and not enjoy it and never watch it again, like knives out for it's apparent efforts in having discreet social narratives, besides the fact there is real life recordings of a younger woman making a impression on elderly wealthy men to make sudden changes on their will e.g. Anna Nicole Smith. Your prioritizing your social beliefs with allowing creative freedom. It's not up to you to gate keep, the ratings will tell the story.

The Simpsons and Family Guy announced the new voice actors for Carl and Cleveland. I mean good for Alex Desert and Arif Zahir getting the roles and giving more blacks more opportunities in voice acting but comes off like a quick fix to a bigger overall issue.

>>416818
The Ballad of Jimmy Rebel was banned from Adult Swim after its first airing because of its excessive depictions of racism even though Jimmy Rebel was a parody of Johnny Rebel and the episode was making fun of white power music. I'm surprised HBO Max finally banned it and it's the only one not on The Boondocks' library of episodes. Same with Pause because Tyler Perry complained and The Hunger Strike and The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show both didn't air on Adult Swim because they made fun of BET didn't air on there until this year after the George Floyd protests started but those three episodes are still on HBO Max. I do get why they pulled that ATHF episode for pic related though.

I disagree with streaming services removing episodes just because they depict racism in a negative manner or portray blackface since it just comes off as reactionary. Not to mention shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia used it as a device to portray the ignorance of its characters an to point out how dumb and racist blackface is. They might as well ban Bamboozled while we're at.

Yeah, but they did it right, just like Robert with Tropic Thunder. ATHF is just plain racist man, I mean I get it, and I got a couple of yuks out of it, but it didnt address the ridiculousness of black face. Really tho, white are fault at this "they done it to just about every other race". And I blame their up bringing. Some do it harmlessly tho and dont realize it and think it just might be funny.

Based on previous shit that was banned, like Always Sunny and Scrubs, I'm pretty sure studios don't actually watch the episodes to see that the episodes are actually shitting on blackface. They just see "oh no racist country singer" and haven't even seen the episode to get the message.

Like I mentioned before, I thought more people would be offended by the MLK episode criticising what black pop culture was back then.

Also I wonder what Aaron thinks about this since he's making a new season with them isn't he? Based on past actions, I can't imagine him getting his work censored and then not poling fun at it

Jazz is a part of the film since Joe is a music teacher who dreams of playing jazz onstage but like in La La Land and The Green Book, its part of their character but not necessarily centered around it either.

>Pixar chose to portray the film's main character as a musician, because they wanted a "profession the audience could root for", and settled for a musician after trying for a scientist, which "[didn't feel] so naturally pure as a musician's life".

Looking at the synopsis, Soul seems fairly reminiscent of Coco in terms of its emphasis on music and an external universe (Land of the Dead in Coco and The Great Before/Beyond in Soul) playing roles in the film. I'm sure it would have done well in the box office had COVID not happened.

If only this was true. The fact of the matter is, that if you need a movie to tell people what to root for it shows people are not interested in it, let alone a black man being the person to admire, especially a profession for me that I already considered it a highly respectable one.

White people are already started to take Jazz away from black culture like recent films as whiplash and la la land, as if it was their own making. I think its cool what Pixar is trying to pull, but its not going to get its message across.

>I think its cool what Pixar is trying to pull, but its not going to get its message across.

The key point is that it's a Pixar film and people will take away from it any message that it's trying to convey no matter how simple or shallow they portray it to be whether it's done through talking toys, talking cars, talking bugs, talking rats, an old man, feelings inside someone's head, and vice versa. I do agree with you about white people taking jazz away from black culture as if it were its own making and that's been going on forever especially in music like rock n' roll.

>>416990
I didn't realize explaining how jazz plays a role in Soul, referencing why Pixar made the decision to incorporate it into the film, and comparing it to Coco would be seen as narcissistic but to each of their own I suppose.

I'm not really surprised people are upset about this though. Inb4 Netflix gets the exclusive rights for the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas special.

>>417070
They're trying to stay true to the original while updating it for a modern audience. Executive producer Steven Spielberg apparently was at every pitch meeting and insisted on maintaining most of the elements of the original show including the original voice cast.

I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up reviving Tiny Toon Adventures as well.

Aw yeah! Way back when in the early 1990s, a cable channel, pretty sure it was Cartoon Network UK, actually showed these to fill up time. Although the ones I saw weren't Technicolor, perhaps they were from a non-Technicolor print taken on a cheaper film method? The blue was completely washed out, as often happened in early film.

Actually REALLY early colour film didn't even HAVE blue! They used a method, "bipack", of gluing together two thinly sliced B&W films that had been sensitised and tinted. One to red, one to cyan or green, usually. So you could get a lot of the colour gamut, flesh tones looked good, but oceans or grass, not so much, and crap contrast for dark colours.

Technicolor was different, the champion of colour film formats. It was shot on 3 reels of film, each behind an R, G, or B filter. So no "colour" to actually degrade in the 3 monochrome films. You had to have a Technicolor technician on set all the time you were filming, to manage the film and cameras. But the results need no exaggerating, even 80 or 90 years later.

I mention all of this, partly cos I'm high, but also cos it's a noticable thing in a lot of early animation, certain colours washed out over the years, but just a few animations were only ever shot on bi-colour film. It's fascinating how they solved their problems. It's also amazing to realise the exact same 35mm projectors were in use, from back in the 1930s, up til only a couple of years ago in some cinemas. It's only been a couple of years since all cinemas went to digital, getting films delivered on hard drives. Before that, decades of shining light through film onto a screen, as generations lived and died.

Anyway... those are Fleischer Superman cartoons. Same studio did Betty Boop and the rest. His stuff was always very, very fluid, lots of movement and lines bending all over the place, compared to Disney's much stiffer style. Fleischer's stuff looked more like the comic strips had escaped from the page into life. Actually he did one film on just that subject.

Fox picked up an animated show set in Ancient Greece by Dan Harmon to premier next spring - https://deadline.com/2021/02/fox-dan-harmon-animated-series-fully-owned-linear-avod-player-svod-world-1234689042/

>Set in mythical ancient Greece, it follows the story of a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other.

Between Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites, and now this show, Harmon and Justin Roiland are really raking in the dough. Plus Fox is investing more into their animated shows than ever before cause The Simpsons and Family Guy aren't gonna be around forever and ownership of the shows transferred to Disney.

>>418162
Yeah we've been talking about it in the thread. Still need to get around to watching that but I like the voice cast and the premise seems somewhat relatable given the characters are within my age group.

It's honestly just as goofy as Rick and Morty, not more, which surprised me since I've been aware of Justin Roilands work since before R&M and had listened to his podcast and that dude is... very goofy to put it mildly. It's also a show with continuity which took me by surprise, and it gets better as it goes on, at least for the one season out so far.
It's very similar in tone to Rick and Morty if it didn't have all the meta humor.

HBO Max ordered three shows (including a Clone High reboot), announced four animated shows in development, and renewed Close Enough for an additional two seasons. These series join HBO Max’s growing roster of current and upcoming adult animated shows, including Harley Quinn, The Prince, Santa Inc., 10 Year Old Tom, and The Boondocks reboot:

>Clone High, which has a two-season order, will be a “modern refresh” of the original series (image at top) by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Bill Lawrence, which initially aired in 2002–03. The show is set at a high school for clones of historical figures. Lord and Miller are set to return as writers and executive producers, and Lawrence will also be returning as an executive producer. Erica Rivinoja (South Park, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), who wrote on the original Clone High, is returning as showrunner. Clone High is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios. We knew that a Clone High revival was in the works at MTV, whose parent company ViacomCBS is pulling from the back catalogs of its channels (which also include Comedy Central and Nickelodeon) to create new animated content.

>Velma is a new series executive-produced by Mindy Kaling, who will voice the titular character of Scooby-Doo fame. The series is billed as a new comedic origin story about Velma, the unsung and under-appreciated brains of the Mystery Inc. gang. Charlie Grandy, Howard Klein, and Sam Register also serve as executive producers. Velma is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

>The third series, Fired on Mars, is an existential workplace comedy set on the Martian campus of a modern tech company. It is created by Nate Sherman and Nick Vokey. Pete Davidson (Saturday Night Live) voices a character, and executive-produces with Carson Mell (Silicon Valley) and Dave Sirus. The series is based on a 2016 animated short of the same name.

>Hello Paul, from musician and creator Sean Solomon, is about a neurotic millennial cat whose intense job and freeloading mouse roommate stress him out.

>Obi is about a 30-year-old man-child chasing his dream to become an artist while navigating adulthood with his friends. It is adapted from Obi Arisukwu’s popular Instagram comic strip and co-created by Arisuwku and Arthur Harris (The Last OG). The producers are Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, Michael Schreiber for Studio71, and David Devries.

>Uncanny Valley tells the story of three awkward domestic helper robots who kill their human owners and try to assume their identities. Creators and executive producers Brendan Walter and Greg Yagolnitzer are joined by executive producer Ed Helms. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Helms’s and Mike Falbo’s Pacific Electric Picture Company. Andrew Guest is also an executive producer/writer.

>Cover is an adaptation of the DC comic book of the same name created by Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack, which was nominated for multiple Eisner Awards. The story is an espionage thriller and conspiratorial love letter to the comic book industry. Bendis will write the series and Mack has signed on to direct. It will be produced by Rooster Teeth Studios.

The show became something of a fan service to the show's admittedly poor character-driven drama. Gone were the funny and original science fiction storylines and spoofs to be replaced with unoriginal topical humor and dated cultural references that were several years behind the times. There was a particularly confounding episode dedicated entirely to the premise that the iphone was something that had to be inserted into your eye, complete with a cringe-inducing pun involving a singing Craig Ferguson playing a boil in reference to Susan "Boyle." This episode came out in like 2012 mind you.

Remember the episode where Bender has a kid with a wise-cracking, child-abusing vending machine that dispenses slurm which turns Fry green and makes him glow in the dark? Or how about the episode where Amy and Bender inexplicably fall in love and become a robosexual couple in an awkward analogy to gay marriage? Obviously though, the pinnacle of Futurama has to be the episode entitled Yo Leela Leela where Leela makes a hit children's show ala Yo Gabba Gabba, a patently inspired cultural reference point that until that time had somehow escaped becoming such prime inspiration for animated science fiction related humor.

Pretty much any time a cartoon's "will-they-wont-they?" sub-plot gets a full episode or more devoted to answering that question it's usually a good sign that the writers are out of ideas and it's no longer worth watching. Futurama, Regular Show, Adventure Time, etc.

>Pre-cancellation Futurama
Truly a classic, rewatch it all every other year or so. Writing is sharp and jokes almost all land, even if some of them date the series (Al Gore being a notable example). 9/10
>DVD "movies"
Fine, premises aren't as funny and the fan-service is definitely noticeable. Rewatched them kinda recently and they weren't as bad as I'd remembered. Being story-driven by a DnD spoof gives you some leeway, and the tying together of all the movies is weirdly impressive. 6.5/10
>Revived Futurama
Too topical, although there are some nice examples where that isn't the case (e.g., the nature episode, which was one of the best), and that doesn't really work unless you're South Park and can throw episodes together the week in which the zeitgeist is happening. Leans too hard into the Fry-Leela romance, but gives it an adequate send-off imo. At the end of the day, at least they called it quits and aren't still milking it like the Simpsons. 6/10

Although it sounds insipid (and maybe intrinsically biased), I still think it makes sense that, just as 1981 was 20 years BEFORE this movie came out, the 80s are the first thing that came into my head as I watched it again 20 years after watching it in theaters for the first time. This mostly because there were two or three things that made me think of a couple 80s animated movie tropes from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius:

-The CG/animation being more impressive during the time of its release than nowadays.
-The songs, or covers of the same songs, that were around by that time if not decade (Blitzkrieg Bop, Kids in America, We Got the Beat).
-(Although I mentioned this is another board) The short yet memorable Climax/finale with a giant creature, which was fairly prominent in a couple of 80s animated movies (Rock n’ Rule, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, The Golden Bird, Pinnochio and the Emperor of the Night, Akira, Felix the Cat: The Movie, Legend of Lemnear, All Dogs go to Heaven, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, The Little Mermaid).

Overall it has plenty of nostalgia as much for people who saw it the first time as for people who see it the same way we see the 80s now. Still, it didn’t date too badly and was a fun trip down memory lane here and there.

Season one reminded me of Teen Titans without the anime gags, Season 2 reminded me of Batman Beyond in how villains gain depth, Season 3 reminded me of Justice League Unlimited in it's all your favs and you learn a bit more of the hidden agenda of those behind the curtains. It's pretty decent successor to that era.
But for me it (almost) never quite hits the same level of quality. A big reason for that is because the protagonists are dumb teenagers and get involved in dumb teenager drama, which is kinda hit and miss.
Another one is that bad things often happen because the team fucks up or characters make stupid decisions. Which is kinda part of the show because they're young and need to learn etc. etc. but it happens so often that it starts to feel lazy, like the writers can't come up with original ideas to create conflict within the story.

Ben 10 is a solid fringe super hero show. Better than PPG and Danny Phantom. You got your gag episodes but there's always a overlooming serious threat if Ben takes it any less serious then the situation calls for. The character is amazing, ego centric kid with fantasies of grandeur to be a hero, and when he gets the ability he actually does it. All he asks for is a little recognition. Watch from Chonological order to get the best experience

I finally watched Toy Story 4 last night. Just as I thought 3 would be the culmination and conclusion of the franchise, I was proven wrong because 4 gave me so many laughs and feels especially Woody listening to his inner voice to be a lost toy with Bo Peep and saying goodbye to Buzz and the rest of the toys. If they end up releasing 5 in 2030, I won't be surprised if it's another great film.

Do they really need to be updated? Part of what I like about Pixar is seeing the CGI develop and change over the years. Some of the earlier offerings (e.g., Toy Story, Bug's Life, etc) may look dated, but that's part of their charm for me.

As for 4, I finally watched it last fall and yeah, unnecessary but good seems about right. Last Pixar movie I remember getting major hype was Inside Out

Not that much, since they can re-use the voice recording from the original material, so that's a less budget, plus it's a lot easier now to make 3D Animation than it was back in 20 years ago.

All I want is a Avatar widescreen remaster, and by saying widescreen I mean a remade animation in widescreen, not that shitty picture croping thing.
Spectacular Spider-Man season 3, if Snyder Cut was released than this one is also possible, but the main problem is the passive fanbase, if people did some pretty sabotage on internet like the DC Snyder fanboys, then we would got a 3rd Season of Spectacular Spider-Man....
Some few suggestions, The Tick from the Fox Kids series could've been brought back via Adult Swim with a R rating for adult audience and they would got the best rattings.
Netflix could ordered a new 3 seasons for Futurama.
American Dad needs a special 1 and half hour long move.

Are you sure they’re gonna be any good, though? I trust Brendan, Doc and Jackson, and Dave Willis to handle their own respective shows well, but keep in mind leadership at AS has changed dramatically, with both Lazzo AND Keith Crofford departed. The guy who runs it now is Michael Ouweleen, who was the creator of Harvey Birdman but I’ve been trying to get into Birdgirl and can tell something is off with the “culture” of AS we were familiar with with lazzo and crofford.

I think the real issue could be is since 2020 the president of Warner bros, who Ouweleen reports to us a guy named Tom Ascheim, who came to the position from motherfucking ABC Family of all things. And it seems adult swim’s edge has really been blunted since the parent company has come to be run by someone who’s come from “family-oriented” programming.

I hope these things are good, but despite complaints for years that AS had lost a step, they still produced stuff I really loved. But now there’s a tangible change in leadership and their shows feel different FOR REAL this time.

More details about the three films:

>Rather than send the movies straight to Adult Swim’s sister HBO Max immediately, the pics will get a release worldwide on Blu-ray/DVD and PVOD and electronic-sell-through (EST) with a 90-day exclusive window before hitting the streaming service and Adult Swim. All three of the series were some of the first original productions to air on Adult Swim.

>“Leveraging the power of WarnerMedia allows us to deliver original content to our amazingly dedicated and not-shy fans, while also giving our talented series creators an opportunity to tell stories in new and interesting ways,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim.

>The new Metalocalypse movie, from co-creators Brendon Small and Tommy Blancha, follows the power-hungry Tribunal as they unveil their secret and deadly “Falconback Project”. This is against a backdrop of a world which is growing embattled in chaos with the menacing Doomstar breaching the Earth’s atmosphere. Meanwhile, the mysterious and twisted dissent of a band member threatens the future of Dethklok. Picking up directly after the heroic rescue of Toki Wartooth: Can Dethklok choose between their egos and the greater good of the world to embark on a gauntlet of dangers that will try their very souls and finally write the song that will be their salvation? Small pens the series original music, and has served with Blancha as the director, writer, and EP on the series which has clocked 63 episodes on Adult Swim. Metalocalypse first aired on Adult Swim in 2003 and ran for 4 seasons, ending with the half-hour special The Doomstar Requeim in 2013. During its run, Small also produced four albums by the show’s fictional band Dethklok, which have sold 1 million albums-equivalents. The Dethalbum released in September 2007 and debuted at #21 on the Billboard 200 chart. The movie soundtrack will be released on WaterTower Music.

>In the The Venture Bros. movie, Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt the Ventures or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their pasts threatens to bring their entire world crashing down on them. The Venture Bros. is created, written and executive produced by Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. The Venture Bros. premiered originally as a pilot in 2003, with the first season airing in August 2004. The series aired 7 seasons and 4 specials over its near 15 year-run and was one of Adult Swim’s longest running series alongside Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

>Aqua Teen Hunger Force will be a continuation of the hit animated series, whereby fans will find out what happens next with Frylock, Meatwad and Master Shake, who consider themselves crime fighters, but the truth is they never fight crime. The series was created by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis and follows the strange everyday lives of three human-sized food products living in New Jersey. Aqua Teen Hunger Force premiered with the official launch of Adult Swim in September 2001 and aired 11 total seasons and was the network’s first theatrical release in 2007.

>FXX has picked up to series Little Demon, a half-hour animated comedy pilot starring Danny DeVito, his daughter Lucy DeVito and Aubrey Plaza. It comes from Danny DeVito’s Jersey Films 2nd Avenue, ShadowMachine and FX Productions, with Rick & Morty co-creator Dan Harmon executive producing. Little Demon joins animated comedy series Archer and Cake on FXX and FX on Hulu.

>Created by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner and Kieran Valla, in Little Demon, 13 years after being impregnated by the Devil (Danny DeVito), a reluctant mother (Plaza) and her Antichrist daughter (Lucy DeVito) attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.

The show's premise sounds quite similar to Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil.

No, you fuckwit Newfag; Samefagging is when you reply to yourself like it's actually a conversation between two people i.e. insulting yourself and arguing with yourself while already replying your own posts on a DISCUSSION board where instead you go talking to yourself and nobody is discussing your posts but you.

I mean, since you apparently have no idea what that term actually meant, welcome but maybe lurk a bit more before you take a thread a face value and literally bump a thread a while watching on the front page as though some conversation is actually happening when instead it's just some idiot talking to himself and expecting "slow traffic" to be a valid reason for you yourself to replace any other discussions with your own self made talking to yourself, dude.

Do you mean Sister, Sister? That was on ABC before it moved to The WB for its last four seasons. The WB also had plenty of black sitcoms in the 90s and 2000s like UPN did. Unless you're talking about The Parkers.

If Thundercats 2011 was released on 2021. It's intended audience would have had the time in their schedule to watch it., and the meta data of viewership would've been higher in it's favor. Cartoon network and FOX had killed so many series just because of its absolutely horrible scheduling of shows just to get eyes on commercials

Also i really like Tygra's character as a supporting character. He's set up as a constant rival to Lion-O as replacement of king if he's unworrhy, but will not betray the society established. >Matt Stone and Trey Parker just closed one of the biggest talent deals in TV history. ViacomCBS will pay them $935 million to make six extra seasons of “South Park” and 14 movies set in the “South Park” world. Two of the original South Park films will premiere on Paramount+ in 2021, with two a year planned through 2027. It’s also an advance against their share of a lucrative licensing deal with HBO Max. In 2019, HBO Max spent US$550 million to secure its position as the exclusive streaming home of the South Park content library over in the US.

It helps that they were able to negotiate a streaming rights deal for 50% in perpetuity back in 2007 so they're making beaucoup bucks on a $1 billion+ franchise.

Funny thing is that FXX is rerunning Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, King of the Hill, Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons starting today and will rerun Futurama starting in November so they got cable syndication rights for all of Fox's old animated shows except American Dad.

pic related is FXX's schedule this week. They're going in the same direction that Comedy Central is going of increasing its animated shows and decreasing its live action shows.

I am surprised all those channels finally realize the appeal in all those shows to the modern generations paying consumers today. All social commentaries and smart tbh, just surprising those shows have graduated from Fox to Adult Swim and Comedy Central to FX now. Hopefully that works out for FX. I dont see any of those shows maintaining audience on the same channels after this long.

Rick and Morty holds the torch for Adult Swim and Cartoon Network now.

It's pretty much because animated shows are cheaper to make than live action shows so FXX and Comedy Central are doubling down on them.

>>420543
>Goddamn, what happened to all the FXX original programming? Did it all just go over to FX?

Nope, they eventually got canceled or ended their runs. When FXX started, shows like Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, The League, Wilfred, Legit, and You're the Worst all moved from FX. Totally Biased and Legit ended up getting canceled and the other three concluded their runs on there. Man Seeking Woman was the first original series for FXX but that got canceled after 3 seasons.

They still have Cake and Dave plus Archer and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which both moved from FX. At this point, FX and FXX only exist to give Hulu programming through FX on Hulu.

It's weird to think that their lineup was that thin, seeing as the channel is 8 years old at this point. Seems like it is used as a clearinghouse for older shows well into their runs (e.g., Archer and Always Sunny) or as a place where shows go to die (Wilfred and Legit). Turning 2/3rds of its programming into syndicated animated shows just seems like another death rattle of cable channels as more and more people stream things

I miss China, IL. It never got the cult following of Squidbillies or Aqua Teen, but its characters were hilarious and the show stayed true to Brad's original vision. The shift in format to 22 minutes after the first season opened up the show and really allowed Brad to run with it. Don't know if he burned out or what but Harg Nallin' didn't have any of China, IL's obscene charm.

The strategy has been working since Aladdin and Robin Williams. Until actors go out of style, Main stream Animation will never stand on its on two feet again.

From a box office perspective, it is a contributing factor though I think the brand is much more of a contributing factor like it being a Disney film, which people who would have also seen The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast during that time would know to expect a good film similar to films by Pixar and Studio Ghibli. Robin's performance in Aladdin did change how animated films cast voice actors going for bigger names rather than established voice actors who may not have the name value but they have the experience. TV shows are still like that these days.

He does have that even though Lorenzo Music will always be the voice of Garfield like Charles Martinet will always be the voice of Mario but I'm sure it'll be fine. I think his roles on Parks and Rec and Guardians of the Galaxy have given him the reputation of being portrayed as a cool fun-loving humorous guy that studios feel audiences respond positively to and why he's become such a major star.

Now I see why it's the final season. They fired Unknown Hinson and Tracy Morgan is the voice of Early Cuyler.

The threads are getting slower and emptier, lol
Never would imagine to see 420 at this state, back in 10 years ago the threads were bumping in every second.
Been here for like since 2010, seems like people got tired from this place.

Yup. Seemed to pick up a bit when lockdown first started but lately it's slowed to a crawl.
Then again not a whole lot of good stuff airing atm, so I understand /mtv/ being slow at least

Nah, the current activity is in the shittiest state.
Back in a day there was Yojimbo trolling in the boards and the majority that used to argue with him, the activity was on it's peak.
Thermoptic and Yojimbo were streaming tv-shows and movies in once or twice a week on taimatube.

I was there ten years ago and I don't remember them bumping at that rate at all lol. Maybe in /wooo/ or /vg/, but /mtv/'s a relatively slow board with maybe dozens of posts a day. Doesn't make it a bad thing, just is how it is.

Bamp with Archer, rewatching and up to S04

First run of Futurama was probably one of my favorite shows, but the movies and CC seasons were garbage. Should've just left it alone. Still unconfirmed if John DiMaggio is returning, but without Bender the third revival can only be worse.

I second that without John dimaggio the whole thing seems kinda pointless, like no matter who they try to plug into that role or replace bender with, it just won't be the same show anymore.

However I have been enjoying the Hulu Animaniacs during my latest drug binges, so I won't 100% write this one off, but idk how much of it I'll watch.

PBS uploaded the series finale of Arthur - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYn1Em-4CQ4

I watched it in elementary school but I wasn't as into it compared to stuff like Rugrats, Hey Arnold and The Simpsons at the time but it definitely had its merits and had good morals and stuff in it.

Ahhh nice. Good for him, standing up for himself. The people who star in shows should get sufficient credit for the life they impart into the final product. Without them, something's missing. You can't easily replace them (sorry Aunt Viv) without it feeling distinctly off. Replace a director, DP, etc., yeah, can get away with it.

I haven't seen all of Futurama so I can't say I'll watch them though. It's a good show but comes off a bit too quippy and sarcastic, not having quite enough heart. Early Simpsons still kicks its ass up and down the block, but that's the case for almost any show. It's an impossible act to follow.
