We streamin’ or ?

I loved the past couple seasons and liked how they brought back the simplicity of their older characters again in season 22. Just dont want everything to be entirely based on politics or current events

It's weird because I like parts of the new seasons, but other parts are abominable. However, the week-to-week production schedule does work to thweir advantage, because sometimes a season will start off shitty, but then they respond to fan feedback and make episodes better based on the complaints. IDK this is such a weird show and even if some seasons are clunkers, it feels special to me. Somehow comedy shows hold a better place in my heart than dramas, since comedies get to run for 10+ years where as dramas come and go.

I’m wondering what current events and pop culture figures they’re going to make fun of this season? I got money on the Me Too Movement.

Did they really? I tapped out of this show somewhere around season 11 (kind of crazy to think about that I've missed half the content now when I used to fucking love this show) because it just lost the lighthearted wacky charm to me and I got really tired of it being virtually 100% current events commentary.

I’ve laughed my fucking ass off in this first 8minutes of the new episode.
Needless to say, I’m going to love this season if only for this first episode lol

I quit before the end of season 16, less due to commentary or content and more because it stopped making me laugh. Now the prospect of having to watched fully serialized seasons to catch up put me off getting back into it.

Those episodes fucking suck though.

With the exception of the hummels episode last season this show has been unwatchable for years.

Yeah that season premiere was fucking hilarious, lots of great stuff like the whole Mexican Joker bit and Randy becoming increasingly mad about people growing their own weed and saying he's not a towel.

I was pretty drunk catching up on the premier Friday night and I barely remember anything making me laugh out loud. Mexican Joker was probably the best part, and even that was running in empty by the end. Although Kyle concerting all the kids to Judaism was pretty good. I’ll keep watching it because it’s just always on my backburner, but I watched Krazy Kripples afterwards and was reminded how brilliant the show could be in its prime

this is mostly true, but i have much fonder memories of being high and watching certain cartoons than i do of being high and doing something else, or just being stoned in general. it's totally valid to be stoned and enjoy certain media in that state instead of consuming the same media sober.

Yeah it was pretty funny. Randy going Anton Chigurh on Winnie the Pooh and talking about it with the family was great. Also Stan having a death metal band and trying to do a Bohemian Rhapsody type biopic.

The China commentary was pretty spot on and I’m not surprised they literally got banned from China just like the episode title. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reference the NBA in tonight’s episode.

Some friends and I felt like that was a shot at Travis Scott for having a biopic done so early into his career. I go by Hulu so gotta wait until tomorrow to watch here.

neither left nor right, dude. Clearly this is about China and everything South Park covered in the episode and clearly he thinks Lebron is their next feature regarding it.

There's a big partisan political element to it, that's undeniable. GOP flag wavers are of course leaping on this and the statements of Kerr and Popovich to point out the hypocrisy, so it's not unreasonable to assume somebody hoping South Park calls out James is part of that sect.

The next episode is about Cartman having a heart attack and switching to a plant-based diet. Lebron's comment don't really fit in with the premise, so if it's there it'll be shoehorned. The China/NBA situation doesn't really merit a double dip. The reality is businesses want to be in China and that means playing by China's rules, and very few are going to be brave enough to upset that apple cart.

What Lebron and Kerr and Stephen A. Smith really deserve criticism for is how they've talked down or condescended to Morey about his timing or education on the situation. It's one thing to be a hypocrite when your business interests and/or corporate overlords make it simply financially idiotic to speak up, but you shouldn't smear the one brave guy to stand up for human rights by trying to make him look out as an agitator or simpleton.

Kowtowed to China after repeatedly saying he stands for the rights of the disenfranchised around the world. Turns out he only cares about his bank account and pretending to stand for causes if it helps his bottom line.

He's a complete sell-out phony, and the damage control he's tried over the past day has just been embarrassing.

Bitch, do you really think Clevelanders really hold it against Lebron after he came back and broke our curse? He can do basically anything he wants and get away with it as far as Clevelanders are concerned. In fact, the only possible way to tarnish his legacy in our eyes would be to kowtow to an oppressive regime because he's a sell-out whore who's lost all perspective.

It wasn't a biopic, it's a documentary on Netflix but I agree it's early in his career though he has a kid with a "self-made" what a load of bullshit billionaire in Kylie Jenner so I guess that's enough to warrant one. I thought it was more of a parody of biopics Bohemian Rhapsody and stuff with how it's more style over substance.
