Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop climate change on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late.

Removed from the debate is the only thing that MIGHT save us: getting a grip on our out-of-control human presence and consumption. Why is this not THE issue? Because that would be bad for profits, bad for business. Have we environmentalists fallen for illusions, “green” illusions, that are anything but green, because we’re scared that this is the end—and we’ve pinned all our hopes on biomass, wind turbines, and electric cars?

No amount of batteries are going to save us, warns director Jeff Gibbs (lifelong environmentalist and co-producer of “Fahrenheit 9/11” and “Bowling for Columbine"). This urgent, must-see movie, a full-frontal assault on our sacred cows, is guaranteed to generate anger, debate, and, hopefully, a willingness to see our survival in a new way—before it’s too late.

He has some good doc's but you must realize he's just in it for the money and he has found his market that will continue to throw said money at him.

I keep saying that the way we're going about expansionism and consumerism and valueing convenience over longevity is destroying the natural world and our greed is gonna take us too. Nobody listens though.

The problem I have with the documentary it's not even trying to be neutral.
It's forgone conclusion is "overpopulation is the underlying issue".
That argument has been around since Malthus and always only applied to an extrapolation of population growth and the current state of technology at the time.
Nevermind that the whole reason for the double exponential population growth has been technological progress in the first place.

Also it bunches genuinely harmful stuff like biomass together with wind & solar power. The people interviewed straight up lie your face that PV solar is supposed to produce less power over it's lifetime than straight up burning the resources it requires.
It's case against wind power is essentially "building large structures can lead to environmental damage" (duh)
and mining is generally environmentally harmful.

The film completely omits that wind & solar power is at least one magnitude less harmful to the environment than fossil fuel power plants.

I generally really like Micheal Moore but I feel like with this one who has clearly just completely missed the point of everything. Any time I hear somebody talk about how "there are too many people on the planet" I can just assume that they either don't know what they are talking about or are actively malicious.
