Is it because it managed to critique Capitalism and our current age without being preachy or having an agenda? Is the public just too stupid to appreciate subtle writing anymore? Both this show and Atlanta are (imo) two of the best series of the last decade, and yet they seem to be dead in the water, without any chance of seeing the conclusions to their stories...

It was, i don't understand why everyone is this thread had such a bad reaction to it, i got sucked in right away and felt like there was barely any filler, the themes and writing i thought was sincere and poignant without going to overboard, and it was genuinely funny at times too. Maybe not the greatest show ever but i liked it, anyone who hasn't finished it should give it another shot, it's short af anyways...

I mean, there hasn't been a lot of good shit lately. Last show I enjoyed was Carnival Row, and it has a shitty rating on rotten tomatoes but a high rating on imdb. So its inconsistent, and this why I dont take reviews seriously. Lodge 49 starts off promising, but drags after the 3rd episode. Go for it and report back tell us how good it is, because a professional reviewers told you so.

There must be some issues reading the number of viewers when it could take some time to catch the show. Also the number of online media companies recently popping up creating something all at a once would show a negative.
