Imagine being a 12-year-old kid in the early 2000s and becoming a fan of Robot Wars. Your engineer dad and his coworker has built a robot, mostly on their own but you feel like you helped, and you have qualified for the show.

Then you end up crying on TV after your robot and your dreams got absolutely shredded by Hypno-disc in 10 seconds.

I kinda lost interest around the time Chaos 2 was winning a lot, and most other succesful bots were imitating it's design.

Two robots trying to flip each other over wasn't exactly why I watched the show.
