Y'allqueda becomes a more fitting title for these types every day. For those unfamiliar with the area this is a town about 100 miles away from Ruby Ridge.

>“Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.” That phrase appears repeatedly in a trove of private emails and documents recently obtained by The Spokesman-Review through multiple sources. Shea, R-Spokane Valley, has used it to sign messages to his associates on the far right, including militia members who took part in the 2016 armed standoff at an Oregon wildlife refuge.

>Last year, at the Marble religious compound in northern Stevens County, Shea described a brewing civil war in the United States, telling a crowd: “Liberty must be kept by force.” He later acknowledged writing a manifesto titled “Biblical Basis for War.”

>Shea and some of his closest supporters have made physical preparations for a holy war, one that would help them establish their long-envisioned 51st state, their Redoubt, their Christian homeland. Leaked emails published this week reveal that Shea has had close ties with a group that conducted “patriotic and biblical training on war for young men.”

>In addition to running “background checks” on liberal activists and supporting military-style training for boys and young men, Shea has in recent years sought to purchase GPS tracking devices, compiled dossiers on local progressive leaders and kept a blacklist of suspected informants in his network.

>By January 2017, Shea had developed suspicions about a new group of associates, and he sent Pounder a list of four names. “Please get with Scout and add these names to the confirmed informants list,” Shea wrote. Scout was a code name for one of Shea’s most trusted lieutenants, Anthony Bosworth, who’s known for bringing guns to the federal courthouse in Spokane and physically abusing his 17-year-old daughter in a videotaped public altercation in Yakima.

>In a fall 2017 group chat on the encrypted messaging app Signal, Pounder shared the address and contact information of an activist who had opposed a right-wing occupation of federal land in Nevada in 2014, and who was now pushing legislation to protect wolves in Washington. Bosworth suggested sending the activist the severed tail and testicles of a wolf from North Idaho. Shea then chided Bosworth – not for the wolf-parts proposal, but for creating an electronic record of the conversation. Such things should be discussed face-to-face, Shea wrote.

>That was the same chat in which Bosworth and Jack Robertson, who hosts a far-right radio show using the pseudonym John Jacob Schmidt, proposed acts of violence against liberal demonstrators and Shea offered to conduct background checks.

Not surprised at all. These people have a cult mentality and seem predisposed to acts of violence and ignorance.

Imagine having the president you wanted but still being paranoid about the state coming after you at any moment.

Hair splitting. Conservative rank-and-filers perceive Muslims as a collective Other and they view this Other as inferior and support (often enthusiastically) violence against this Other. "Racism" is a convenient descriptor for this because, although Islam is a religion and not a race, the conservative attitude toward Muslims is one in which the religion performs the same function as race in delineating a hated group.

I have no problem with Christians as a whole, I think the US should let the Christian child refugees out of the corporate run cages they are in instead of paying rent a cops to molest away from prying eyes.

Bumping with an update. They have put a proposal before congress for a state called "liberty". They aren't planning to secede from the US, just the state of Washington, although their proposal for the basis of the state is clearly against the separation of church and state portion of the constitution. I don't see this ending well when their proposal ultimately fails before the house who, Seattle and Olympia residents they say are urban liberals that are out to get them.

This isn't getting major national attention but seeing as how lots of these guys run in the same circle as the Bundy Ranchers, the Oregon federal building occupiers and as mentioned previously, the people around the Ruby Ridge incident, it is easy to see they are getting more bold and brazen. When the Balkanization of America happens I think this area will be the spark that lights everything.

Because that same demographic are being spoon fed talking points by them and ironically enough the other way around. The guy that went to DC to the pizzagate parlor with a gun and made everyone stand still while he looked for trap doors was from close to this area in Idaho.

Pic somewhat related, this is a pic of this elected offical posing with people he openly calls his militia from a few years back.

Fudds try to balkanize the West Coast states on a constant basis not realizing that even if they succeeded economic dependency on the liberal metropolitan regions would shape their politics no matter how hard they pretend they're being free.

oh, it's liberty now? they used to call it Lincoln. i'm from eastern washington once upon a time, there's loons who propose secession from Seattle every few years. there's been other proposals in the past that also glue the Idaho panhandle to eastern washington, or i think there's one out there that merges eastern washington and oregon into one state and then western wa+or into anohter single state

I don't see what the problem is with these new civiil war succeed form whatever are all about. The left is what makes things work, while they do nothing. Seriously nothing to actually further themselves and their agendas in any way. Nothing to further others, and politics in the process.

In Coloado some weird o politican wanted to succeed from Colorado, I think it would be called New Colorado. They would have to grab a small part of Wyoming and a few counties in colorado to do so.

Reality is, he has never explained anything somewhat on why to do this. How it would happen. They would still have their hands out to other governments that
would actually have to be there for them when they fail. It would have happened already if they were actually organized and had plans that were somewhat do-able.

BTW, the Tea party sure organized with fox news and all, was a strong non-directional entity, that elected republicans, that was the only reason for the
tea party. And having no purpose otherwise. It just disappeared just as fast.
