You know typically a garnishment judgement is a default judgement for medical debt. To get to that point I suspect these people might've casually disregarded over a year of mailings, and probably neglected to attend several scheduled court hearings.

The us health system is a shitshow, but you also don't do yourself any favors by being a comically negligent and disorganized person.

Pretty funny. Dutch insurance companies are experimenting with just cancelling medical debts because guess what - people with medical debts need more medical care, get in even more debts, pay insurance companies less, and cost insurance companies more, so the company actually will make more money by making less money.

Cuba has a longer life expectancy than the US.
Living in a capitalist society is more detrimental to the likelihood that you will reach old age than abject poverty.

>Comparing cuba to philadelphia

What even is this garbage? Have you ever been to philly? It's a disgusting shithole of a town that reeks of piss and garbage. And I'm pretty sure it's the law there that literally everyone has to spend all day drinking 40s and chain smoking newport 100s.

You might as well compare cuba to skid row in LA. OFC cuba is gonna be better when you pick the lowest possible baseline you can find.

Just more leftist propaganda trash designed to make sense only to people who don't have any brain cells.

You don't think it's disingenuous at all? You probably should. Don't fall for the propaganda.

What's even funnier is that they used philly as their example of "capitalism", yet currently the city is run by a pinko commie mayor who successfully created a soda tax, raised local wage taxes to some of the highest in the nation, and his current pet project is trying to implement a citywide wealth tax in order to pay for legal heroin injection sites.

you don't think it's making their arguments for them when you wave your hand and go "it doesn't matter if philly is a shithole, they're poor, they deserve it, rich cities have much higher standards of living and life expectancy"?

like yeah...that's kind of the point...that capitalist america has left tens of millions of people behind in worse conditions than a hurricane bait island in the Caribbean that's been sanctioned to hell and back for 30 years can provide for their own citizens

>Capitalism doesn't provide equal outcomes so therefore it's wrong

Like fuck do I care about a city where -- as far as I could tell when I was there -- most of the people in it don't work by choice. It's a stretch to say someone was "left behind" when they didn't make any effort to keep up in the first place. That isn't capitalism's fault.

Makes for real great leftist propaganda that resonates with simpletons like you who only paint with broad brushes.

The problem isn't equal outcomes but the generation of suffering we could abolish outright if the forces of production were dedicated to wiping them out.

>they didn't make any effort to keep up in the first place

Quite an assumption there, but we do, in fact, live in a society, and although we make decisions for ourselves, we don't make them as we please. The choices we have available to us are socially constrained, constrained by the realities of private property ownership and the concentration of power into the hands of an elite group of capitalists. It's not really a stretch to say that people are "left behind", because they objectively are, and what you're doing is objectively reality denial, putting your head in the sand and assuming, ahistorically and through moral apologia, that capitalism is a system that takes individual hard work and gumption as inputs and outputs wealth and prosperity on an individual basis. That's what's really too simple, too naive.

I'm not satisfied! We could be doing better. How is strapping old people into a chair so they can't fall acceptable? So what if they fall, not having mobillity s eventualy becomes excruciating. They do it for legal reason as a part of they're duty of care, i don't fucking want to go through that in old age, neither do I want to be told I have no rigbt to refuse medical care. It's a stupid rule entirely to avoid someone saying they've done something wrong and having to compensate or incure retribution.

If you're going to compare Cuba to anywhere in the US it would have to be its' American owned counterpart Puerto Rico.

One of the countries has a working infrastructure, a booming tourism industry, free medical school and free health care.

The other hasn't had running water for years, is unable to import the things they need directly from where they are produced instead having to have them come through the US first and pay double import taxes, and a corrupt state level government that has given multi million dollar contracts to outside contractors to not fix anything so the land value can plummet and be bought up en masse by Nouveau riche frat boys at a steal, and they are on their last roll of paper towels.

Puerto Rico would honestly be way better off if Cuba annexed them.

Considering the sanctions and regime-change hard-on te US has had for Cuba, and for how long, it's frankly astonishing how good their healthcare system is.

Philadelphia has Hella fucking leaded water problems. Around 1 in 5 children tested had blood lead levels above mandated action levels (if not outright lead poisoning for most).

People tall about Flint, MI, but the state if Pennaylvania is a legit hazardous waste land, not just the big cities

Hard to thrive when your society fails you on its most basic functions
