I've got a little left from a gallon of milk that's about 2 days past expiration. Did the smell test and it didn't smell rancid. Did the taste test, and it doesn't exactly taste "fresh", but it's not foul tasting either.

What's the verdict, my foodie peeps. Would you drink it?

Not OP but some milk I bought last week with a sell by date of April 4th was still good Saturday night somehow. I bought another gallon and was gonna throw the old stuff out thinking I got bamboozled by the grocery store into buying milk that would go bad in less than a week but I guess they fucked up on the sell by date.

I'm OP, and I always check the date at the store and grab the one with the furthest expiration.

I do too, but when they all have the same date and I want some milk then them's the breaks.

  1. Which one do you think is best? Not necessarily just orange but the entire lines themselves. 2. What's your favorite flavor in particular?

I know there a better brands out there but I wanted to stick with the 3 most mass-produced/widely available

Post fermentation related things.

Check out this quite interesting video series from fermentation in PRC.
Sandor Katz' "The art of fermentation" is also a very good encyclopedic book in case you are interested of the subject.
Pic related. My first batch of sauerkraut.

Well I already have gochujang. It's been fermenting now since August so it's relatively young still. It tastes pretty good but the flavor isn't that deep yet.

Time to see if the 1000 post limit extends to all the boards, or just the ones Kirt frequents. This is the 11th recent meals thread so you know how it works at this point. Post pictures of food you've either made or eaten recently and have it ripped apart by our increasingly hostile community. Who knows, you might even get some decent replies out of it!

i never said it was "complicated" (though that *is* a relative term) i simply broke down whats in it and the process i added them, for anyone who would care to re-create. It took 10 minutes. im not exactly the Jacques pepin of south east england.
