Poor cunt soup that's good for practicing knife skills.

1 carrot
1 small onion
2 stalks celery
knob of butter
salt & pepper

Julienne dice all vegetables, sweat in butter, add water salt & pepper, simmer for like 20 mins.
Eat with crusty bread and not feel poor because it's actually fucking delicious.

Man I swear Everytime we run out of food in the house, the last things left are pretty much potatoes and seasoning. The amount of times I've actually made this... It's much better with some garlic an of course heavy cream makes most soups better

Poor cunt soup has got me through some difficult times and made me a better cook for making it. I’d personally only use potato in a soup to make it creamy but each to their own. Hand cut fries are another good one to learn, obviously double fried in a deep fryer is best but parboiled and cooked in the oven is satisfactory.

Don't you need to add some water? Sounds less like a soup and more like sauteed veg

that's not weird, all kinds of asian foods have peanut butter out of fucking nowhere. lime juice would be excellent in that. also green onion.

Yeah we used to make "trail pad thai" on camping trips with just noodles peanut butter and hot sauce plus various other spices. Everything tastes better when you're hungry though but it actually is a good dish. There's a component I'm missing but I can't remember what it is maybe lime juice or chili flakes

I know. I've had the pleasure of meeting a few immigrant families from different nations and fresh is the word. Fresh delicious powerful flavors. Some old-world style foods too like ox tail

Swap the garlic powder for adobo and add "tuna steak" with the hot sauce and you just described jail pad thai OP.
