I like my guns like I like my waffles.

P90 and Five-Seven entrepreneurs.

Backed by Browning and Winchester.

Who's an FN freak?

P90s are shit because it's impossible to get the LE one. So you're stuck with the 90fs model with it's awkward 16" barrel.

Also have fun being poor as you pay out the ass for 5.7 ammo.

Lrn2 SBR and just get it the non-shit version with a 10 or 12 inch barrel.

Not much you can do about being unable to get a full auto version, but almost any actual operator operating operationally who has access to it is going to train for extremely short bursts and single shots anyway.

Also the ammo isn't that expensive and it isn't FN exclusive anymore, a lot of groups are manufacturing it now. I will mention that I personally think the caliber in general is retarded, though, as it's just a fancy .22 WMR and the talk of it being armor piercing is mostly myth, only one version of 5.7 ammo was ever designed to defeat armor and it was only capable of defeated level 2 soft armor, it does fuck all against 3A soft armor which is the modern standard and it won't even dent a level 4 plate.

If you jolly african-americans want something useful just get an 8 inch barreled AR-15 pistol and put a SIG brace on it to avoid SBR paperwork and fee, the ATF already ruled it's legal to use the 'arm brace' type devices on your shoulder, they still don't recognize them as 'stocks'.

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE

It is NOT LEGAL to shoulder the SB 15 arm brace or any of it's variants. This constitutes making the pistol into a RIFLE.

The ATF released a secondary letter about this and it is NOT OKAY to shoulder the arm braces.

Please do not spread this misinformation as it is dangerous and can get honest men arrested!

So I've recently gotten into crystal science and since this neighborhood has become increasingly unsafe I decided to get a gun from an acquaintance. Now my biggest problem is what kind of crystals would give me an edge if I need to defend myself, care to give me some advice?
Does certain crystals resonate better with certain types of guns or rifles or does it have more to do with aligning their energies to a certain manufacturer?

I've been considering purchasing a rifle for a while now, for recreational shooting and home defense. I served in the military so I know my way around a firearm, although I'm not a gunsmith tier expert or anything. I want something cheap, but functional and chambered in a larger round like 7.62. Any tips or advice you have about purchasing a weapon or finding a good range would be appreciated.

Pretty much this.
I want a big boy round to shatter cinder blocks, watermelons and the chest cavities of burglars. Maybe it's impractical and I should settle for 5.56. Afterall I mainly want a rifle to dick around at the range with.

>Ammo.

For The 7.62x39 it is incredibly easy. Just buy the cheapest shit you can. All the steel case is good enough except for maybe Herters. Never buy any ammo made in Pakistan or India. Chinks make good ammo but it is hard to get. Yugo Yellow Tip is some of the most hardcore 7.62x39 made but it is rare as fuck and I don't know the designation for it. AP, AP-i or explosive is all pretty much impossible to find of course. Tula and Brown/Silver Bear is about the best price/performance. Silver Bear is what I would say is about the best steel cased for a reasonable price. Tula is really hit or miss but I've never had a dude round or a round that fucked up. Sometimes you buy Tula and get HP. Sometimes you get silver cases. I've actually gotten silver bullets. Likely Tin plated or even more likely Zinc bullets. It is like an easter egg. You know it is candy but you don't know what kind! I think some early "Red Army Standard" was corrosive. Be wary of corrosive foreign milsurp as always. ____ Bear and Tula are never corrosive.

For .223 it is really just depending on what you want to do. I just use 90% Tula and 10% reloads. Technically, for ammo you want to match grains and twists but I never give a shit about it because 1:7, 1:8 and 1:9 will shoot 55 up to 77 fine enough. 1:12 is nonexistant now so don't even worry about it. Technically, 45-62 is ideal for 1:9. 1:8 is suppose to be good for everything but is less common. 1:7 is operator tacticool because it can "do 62-80." In reality, you won't know any difference as long as you stick around 55-77 which is like all fucking ammo save for weird ass shit that is like 90 cents a round. Steel case is fine just don't shoot steel case then shoot brass case without cleaning. Shooting brass then shooting steel is fine. Brass expands to chamber very tightly. Steel doesn't. Shit gets in the chamber with steel cases and then when you shoot brass that shit sticks up on the case and the extractor slips over the rim or rips the rim off. Those O-ring extractor mods that increase extractor pressure can rip the rim off. Which is a bitch to get out because you need a rod+tree/hammer instead of a screwdriver. Technically steel is harder on the extractor but I think that is bullshit because 1. Extractors will fail eventually. 2. Extractors are much harder than the steel in cases. The case itself has nothing to do with the breaking of the extractor. The extractor is hardened steel which means it is more brittle. Steel cases come out easier in every scenario due to their lower expansion which means that they are actually easier on the extractor but internet myth from tards that don't know metallurgy will claim otherwise. Honestly just shoot whatever the fuck you want out of your AR. 77gr is good for longer ranges. 55-62 is great for everything else.

>Best AK for speculation/price gouging.

The cheapest hunk of shit you can find. That way you save money so you can slap on tons of UTG plasticrap to sell to idiots on armslist. An out of line Century or IO with black everything and a bi-pod, scope, 45 degree red dot, forward grip and folding stock will sell for 1500 dollars during a panic buying frenzy. I've literally seen a box (100) of P-Mags sell for 6k dollars during Sandy Hook. There was a guy walking around a gun show every ten feet with a garage built PSA AR+bi-pod, scope and forward grip for 2k dollars. If there are idiots freaking out buying shit aka Speculating, then just deliver whatever is scary or illegal looking.

>The last bit.

Well, I'm not you but 5.56 is the same price as 7.62x39 for steel case or close enough. 5.56 doesn't shoot like a rainbow and is generally found in more accurate weapons. 7.62x39 guns typically suck after 300 yards. 5.56 sucks after 450ish. Which honestly, just use .308 at that point but whatever. 5.56 defensive ammo will probably fuck someone up faster than whatever 7.62x39 you can get. Either rounds will ruin someones day easily so it really doesn't matter. 5.56 will explode shit "better." 7.62x39 pokes more of holes into stuff and keeps going. 5.56 fragments due to velocity so it is usually more entertaining I guess. 7.62x39 honestly isn't that fun to shoot because of the recoil and the guns that use it generally suck to use. At least it isn't to me. Some people enjoy the rifle bouncing around like a pair of tits but I prefer …

Springfield TRP 1911
Colt 1911 series 70
S&W 945

Does anyone have experience with any of these pistols? Which of these pistols would any of you recommend in terms of accuracy? Reliability? Aftermarket parts/customization? Customer service? I'm also interested in hearing any recommendations to any similar .45 pistols that I did not list.Thank in advance

>simple design. Looking for function, not flashiness
>inexpensive. Swords are expensive I know, but I'm looking for something in the $100-250 range
> looking for a short sword or a dirk
> sturdiness and reliability

Originalcontentguy on /k/ knows a swordsmith whose work I like. They're not exactly wallhangers, but all his blades are brutally functional, and he tests them by driving them through a steel barrel. But the smith has no internet, and you'd have to contact him through OCG.

I used to know another guy who did nice work, but he got sick, fell behind on commissioned work and disappeared.

Hi pewpewpew. First time here. Frequenter of /opi/. I feel out of place with so many normal people...

Anyway. Fired an M1 Garand a while back. Loved the feel and have been nostalgic for how it felt in my hand. The heavy, hand carved, stocky, light recoil, and ping sound is sorely missed.

I'm in Canuckistan and can't get anything with more than a 5 round mag for a semi-auto. I know an SKS is the cheaper option to go for. But I want something that feels like an M1 Garand that doesn't cost $2000.

lol i've heard that about the Jap Nambu

The M1A jamming I've heard of has to do with the action being exposed and moving, allowing stuff to get caught in the movement. The only people who can complain are the guys who hold the rifle by the action and not farther up. I hold mine with the sling and have no problems.

When I was researching the rifle, some codbloper had videos of his "combat rifle school" and he showed how his glove would get caught in the action and jam things up. The only guy in the class with tacticool gear on; go figure.

Since we are a drug board, I suppose I could ask this here. What's the best drug for range shooting marksmanship? I need something to help me unload an entire Ruger American 5-clip within 10 seconds as accurately as possible. I'm thinking a beta-blocker. I'm also shit at finding drugs so how about ritalin? That might fuck me up too much. Would it be better to take lorazepam 5 hours before hand to help me calm down?

What does the /nra/ think?

Well, it's a scientific fact that psilocin enhances visual acuity through increasing "Edge detection". This is the ability to distinguish the edges of different objects, which requires, as well as depth perception, the ability of your brain to translate different types of light shading and reflection into information about distance and object placement. Seeing edges of objects in low-light conditions and at greater distances allows you to, for example, discriminate a bird from the ground behind it and the bushes surrounding it.

There is some anthropological evidence in the historical record that suggest that ancient hunters took part in ritualized consumption of small doses of psilocybin mushrooms before going on a hunt. There is also some evidence that other predatory mammals incorporated psilocybin mushrooms into their diet because they found the effects helpful in detecting and tracking prey animals.

There are a lot of articles on the internet and books irl about this topic, but here's an article I found in five seconds on google.

Have you ever even tried /psy?

I'd say that a good mushroom dose gives me about 10x magnification beyond what I'd have if I were completely sober for a week. About 2-3x vs my usual day. The closer the object, the greater the effect though. Fucking weird looking at the little scales on my hair, and then comparing it to the white hairs in my beard that are unusually thick.

The caveat for me being that shrooms fuck my motor skills like I'm drunk, but I'm not so stupid that I'm not aware of it like I would be if I were drunk.

--
For me, it would be cannabis as I tend to panic and overreact. I feel like I can calm myself down and force myself to do what is necessary to make my shots count. Cannabis also doesn't have an effect on my motor skills. Cannabis in general, for me doesn't make me lazy or stupid; I consider it a good workhorse drug for mental stuff. I sneak it at work when I need to get a big job done and need to concentrate; it's like adult ritalin.
Physically, I think it's a bad idea to smoke weed and perform manual labor. So in an actual combat situation where running and patrolling were an issue, I might not smoke. If this were ana, I would say weed for recovery good, weed for workout bad.

I know its possible to build a gun from parts however I have no idea where to start, Im pretty good with my hands and I am an industrial design student. I have an idea to design a magnetically accelerated anti-material rifle however that is way down the road.

Im pretty much looking to assemble something like a Baretta M9 or a Glock 45 for starters as a hobby gun to take to the range. Or even a bolt action long gun for hunting. Its really just a project for me.

An actually good and useful manual is the US Army's "Manual of Common Tasks", which is issued to everyone in Basic. It has detailed descriptions of everything from small unit tactics, basic combat lifesaver skills like applying a tourniquet, how to search a detainee, all kinds of good stuff. There are different volumes for different ranks, essentially one for lower enlisted and one for NCOs, with accordingly different content.

I don't know if it's contained in that torrent, but if not, you can find it pretty easily with a google search for pdf filetypes.
