How is it that you always hear about professionals having such an easier time getting legit scrips for opiates? Doctors/lawyers dont seem to have an problem walking in and getting a note for some pharmaceuticals. Do they just know what to say? More credible?

It's not like their "back pain" would be worse than any other person's, right? So how do they get it so easy?

It's true though. There's been studies done on it. Older people in general get scripts most easily. In general, women are more likely to be scripted opioids, especially in the middle age section. People with consistent long term and job employment, as well as higher levels of education, also receive higher rates.

The demographics who get screwed the most are Men under 30-35, minorities (especially black men), and poor people. If you're a white male, you're best off if the pain is "provable" via MRI or if the work/injury is job related.

Interestingly, married couples tend to receive a higher chance of prescribing opioids than single people seem to.

The other poster was replying to the fact that none of that matters because opioids in general are being phased out...just in about 2 years there's minimum 25% decrease in prescription opioids and that may or may not include subs or 'done. It was even just 14% less scripts from 2016 to 2017.

His bigger point is the bottom line they either don't do pills anymore, or they pay something like crazy $1.50-2/mg for hydrocodone and $2+/mg for oxycodone just to outspend all the competitor buyers so they always get priority. Most of them has taken pressed pills before and never knew.

I'm pretty sure price died from acetylfentanyl, which isn't a metabolite of real fent to my knowledge. Basically he was popping fake vicodins, whether 5s 7.5s or 10s idk. That's how he died.

Real pills are slowly becoming nonexistent statistically speaking, apart from probably suboxone/subutex and to a lesser degreet methadone syrup for MAT not pain management methadone tablets.

brah they can say they will try 2 "phase out" opioids but hasnt the opioid crisis been in the decline recently? less overdoses recently? i swear i dont hear about it as much anymore as i did in say 2012. they cant completely phase out opioids right? people with real diseases need them 4 real pain... and i need them 4 real pleasure :--)

People who look more professional and have a lot of money are almost always gonna get a good deal on shit like this. Fuck for the amount of money they pay for private docs and shit I'd hope so or else they're wasting money. It's bullshit but that's how those with money are treated.

I come from a poor working class family an my grandmother just had this operation since she was diagnosed with uterine cancer I believe. They had to remove a bunch of her lady parts in a very long painful surgery. They sent her home with tramadol. She's still recovering now so I've been taking care of her. Poor lady is so scared of painkillers or anything that can be addictive because of me she won't even take em.

Because they don't look like uneducated pill seeking junkies who are infinitely more likely to overdose or get caught selling the script, resulting in potential negative attention and/or legal trouble coming back on the doctor. Not only that, but they give off an impression of having a legitimate pain problem and are actually more likely to.

Think about it for a minute. Women get more scripts because male doctors are naturally more sympathetic towards female patients. Men are expected to just suck it up and deal with the pain they are experiencing, resulting in both male and female doctors being less likely to be sympathetic towards them on an unconscious level... that is unless, of course, the man has a more prestigious job and the respect that comes with that.

Part of the deal with more prestigious and respected professions is that they require a great deal of education to qualify for their practice. This means that men who are lawyers, doctors, etc. are going to be older. Older people in general are more respected, viewed as more mature, and trustworthy on an unconscious level too, which makes doctors more sympathetic with them. It's also well known that with age, the risk of injury rises and old people in general are dealing with more pain on a regular basis than a younger person does, making their claim seem all the more legitimate. So, having a prestigious, well respected position in society coupled with being older both make doctors and lawyers significantly more likely to be taken seriously.

Do you call everyone nodson? Random posters you disagree with =/= nodson. You do this thing where you come to once a month and make every single post about
him and it’s absolutely sad. The only people ruining the board are ass blasted faggots such as yourself doing this obsessive behavior.

Im sure norcodeine and morphine are metabolites, hydromorph, hydroco and DHC I doubt so, which goes to prove that even if celebs look like they don't know shit they usually do.

I thought stuff like codeine and hydrocodone had tons of metabolites like that but I could be wrong. Either way I don't think celebs have a hard time at all getting real pills. I'm sure some got doctors they can throw a little money to. Even if not I think they're connected enough to be able to find real pills. Not to say they don't ever get fakes.

>Not to say they don't ever get fakes.

Defnitiely man, people always refer to lil peep when talking about this issue but thats just a meh starlet with some traction, I think a lot of docs will go to great lengths to keep a superstar patient, a widely known person pulling up to your clinic must be the best advertisement possible.

And idk about metabolites my man I might be wrong aswell, it just surprised me to see sosa taking hydromorphone, implying he knows the existence of opiates and not just "LEAN LOL!"

Also im not the other nodhatter, I just noticed someone else shares my love/hatred for him, bump on codeine+odsmt+vyvanse

It’s all speculation. I could say that no amount of business that celebrity brings is worth losing a license over. I’m sure certain docs would do it but there isn’t much incentive if it means losing everything you’ve worked for. It seems very short sited and if you have an MD you are probably not thinking day to day.

It is just speculation, but surely there are more reasons to cater to a famous person than just what I said, pressure/intimidation? Only god knows.
