For those of you who have used for years, when you come back to opiates after a tolerance break, how many days of daily use do you find you can support before getting physical withdrawal symptoms?
Albert Wemmlepidge - Mon, 20 May 2019 08:35:09 EST 8N957kdV No.606185 Reply
3-4 days and I know I'm back in deep already. If I quit again at day 4, WD would probs be mild, but once you are 4 days in and dabbling with the whole 'how bad is this gonna be if I stop?' game, I always did what pretty much every addict does in that situation. I kept on using - let that be tomorrow's problem mentality and all. Anyway, days in a row max should be your answer if you want to keep away from a habit. Once a week is even better, never again is the dream

***Meant to say 2 days in a row max***

forgot the name of the phenomena but this happens with a lot of receptors and subtypes. something sensitivty iirc. but anyways I found it to take about 3-5 days of use depending on the half life and potency of the drug. with kratom I can use for longer without problem but if I use fent, I will get WD in 3-5 days of everyday use.

Ive used PST and PPT for 10 years on and off now. I maxxed-out at 4 lbs of seeds or 10 large poppy pods per day several years ago. I was recently 8 months clean, and all it took was 3 days back and I was getting 4/10-tier withdrawal.

About a week on heroin, morphine or oxy ia enough for me to get back physical addictiobln, maybe it takes longer with codeine or tramadol but I rarely use them nowadays

Dumb question but has kratom something you have given a real shot? Also if I may ask how hard is it to get pods? I see sites and ebays that sell em everywhere but dunno if they will do the job..

One of the cruelest jokes in life is how you can quit heroin for years and it'll only take a week or two to get hooked again. You'll never have the same number of receptors as you did before you first tried it, you'll always have more. It's a goddamn shame knowing you can never go back, unless you're literally rich and can afford it.

Not him but kratom is great, it saved my life. It's a little addicting but it's not harmful and 1000x safer than opiates. You don't really get high off of it, but when you're withdrawing it's a godsend.

It's insane how quickly you become dependent again - for me personally I'm done with opiates now. Easier said than done I know that after recently having a relapse after a year and a half clean, but once I've finished this bupe taper script I really am committed to never going back. The shit is just poison to my life - even when I think its 'helping' me cope with stress and other shit going on, its not. It's just making things even worse! And then the goddamn withdrawal process!! I mean how many times do I need to inflict that pain and suffering on myself to learn?!? Fuck! So glad I quit - will be even happier once I dont need to rely on my bupe script. Oh and yeah I sorta agree with Kratom - it defo works as a maintenance drug, but I didn't find withdrawal from that much different from a proper Opi. So it has its place in my mind, but shouldn't be fucked with otherwise...

Could you elaborate on number of receptors changing? Cause that sounds like biggest broscience bullshit I've heard in a while

2 or 3 repeated days, or 4 or 5 non-consecutive in a week will have me in early or moderate w/d when using full agonists. A full consecutive week will have me in full blown, back to the drawing board w/d.

Anyone claiming to sell Pods is either a scam, located out of the US, or selling fake/bunk/decorative material domestically. If you do decide to try and purchase some, be careful, people have been busted importing them into countries and charged with Opiate/oid distribution.

Kratom may be safer than most Opiates, but it's absolutely not true that you can't get high from it. I've used pretty much every Opiate at least once, and one of the oddest and most overpowering experiences I've ever had was with high-dose Kratom. Just saying, it can get you extremely fucked up. It has a bunch of active alkaloids, including some powerful ones in a large enough quantity.

I was on methadone for 2 years. Got off 2.5 months ago. Ended up needing spinal surgery and was given MScontin 30mg x2 and 4mg dilaudid x 3 for two weeks. Never ending going back into WD.

Idk what the fuck these guys are talking about. but I never used heroin or IVed so.... maybe theres some truth in what their saying.

Ok big difference here from what I can see is that you were taking these meds as prescribed dosage for pain management. Recreational use of Opi's pretty much equates to higher dosage compared to analgesic use, so what you were doing was far less risky than someone relapsing because they wanted to get high. Opi tolerance and dependence will build in both of these cases, but it doesn't take a genius to see which one of these is going to lead to it quicker, you see?? So in short - you didn't take the meds for long enough to get hooked. Good stuff! But believe me, had you chosen to relapse and use recreationally, it would have taken a matter of a few days to get hooked....

One day. Like two or so shots over a day. One in the afternoon and one before bed on the same day and you'll wake up feeling it a bit.

Wow one day?!? That's super crazy!! Now please dont get me wrong - I'm not shitting on your own experiences, because how could I, but can a person really become Opi dependent again within a day? I'm just a little surprised at that man... like maybe you were feeling an Opi hangover rather than WD's perhaps? I'm just real curious to find out more about this - what symptoms were you getting the next morning?

After you’ve kicked a lengthy habbit that’s all it takes. One bad day.

120 and tapering off in 2yrs. Methadone is a much easier kick than people make it out to be.

To be honest, I did occiosnally snort the dilaudid because orally it didn't seem to work and the morphine took too long to kick in during the morning and it was very hard to get out of bed. But I didn't really feel any WD. When I did stop I did have diarrhea for 3 days and my nose was running like a faucet but I was comfortable. No sweats, cramps, pain, cravings.

I'm still surprised at the one day, but people's body chemistry are different I guess. Plus I take it your habit was a very lengthy one then? Mine wasn't so long - so it kinda takes 3-4 days of use before I start to notice signs of dependency. I've always snorted my H though, so maybe that's another factor in how quickly you get hooked again maybe...

I imagine a lot of it is psychosomatic, possibly because you fear withdrawal. In any case if you find youself about to relapse into dependency stop immediately, get some clonidine, valium or gabapentin/lyrica. You'll be fine.

Just remember it takes 2-4 weeks to get dependent unless you are using around the clock(4x - 12x) a day. Then it can take quicker.

Ok so there were defo some physical withdrawal symptoms present then, but I get what you're saying - it was all manageable stuff and all. I do believe that mindset has a huge part to play in the process here - if you completely believe that you are not hooked and theres no issue, there is a placebo effect that takes place and lessens the intensity of it - I'm pretty sure that's why my first ever WD wasnt even that bad actually. I knew absolutely nothing about opiate withdrawal at that stage of my life, so didn't even know why I felt shitty until after it was over lol! Ever since I've understood what to expect tho, it's just been hell every time I've put myself through it!

i'm clean rn, but when i would break for awhile, i could detox and re-withdraw in about week each way. can't speak for anybody else, but it was usually day 5-7ish.

When I was like 3-6mo clean from PST, just two days of consecutive mega dosing was capable of causing WD. 3 days of dosing moderate doses was more than 50-60% likely to cause WD, and 4 days of consecutive moderate dosing all but guaranteed WD.

Bear in mind PST is basically a crude Methadone though, so I'd expect pure morphine so allow an extra day or two before the same WD effects.

2 days. I might even say you will feel sick after one use.
