Anyone here not on /Opis/???? 10 days without using dope. I’m just bored. Funny how my last run of about 8 months I didn’t post here.

I'm always using drugs, being sober sucks. I hope your life is at least easier, how bad/expensive was your habit?

It’s great not having to worry about being sick. I was probably spending 150-300 a week. I never missed work though but it was starting to really effect me. Being sober does suck. I was smoking a half gram and would barely be high. /blog over

I'm sorta w/ you OP. Got off synthdope roughly a year ago and got on subs. The subs didnt even take away the withdrawal, was sick for two weeks even tho i was takin 24mgs suboxone a day. After withdrawal i wanted to kill myself evry day for the first six months, but now i only feel that way for a couple weeks when i take a dose cut. I crave meth more than i do opiates which is weird cus fentdope was my everyday drug, only smoked ice a couple days a week usually.
Sorry for the blog post, jus hang in there OP, sending you love and support my friend

14 months completely sober here. My suggestion is go do fun things. Idk where you live but most big cities if you just type in, for example, "Los Angeles events 11/19" on Google you can find a shitload of things to do. If I don't get out and do things I'm miserable. Also going to AA or NA can help make you feel better emotionally or just meet other sober people to hang with. I've found I need to be the one to initiate activities otherwise nothing exciting happens lol so that's what I suggest even if you're doing it alone.

Did 15 days in rehab I'm 10 days off the taper and I'm still going through it. Heroin and benzos.

I really fucked myself this time boys. Waking up after 3 hours with the goosebumps, heart beating out my chest, can barely eat.

I'm sure it's just the benzo d/t still fucking with me, but it feels like mild opiate withdrawal that won't end. I don't even really have anxiety just physical symptoms.

For any male recovering opi addict reading this: Get your testosterone levels checked. Opis annihilate our balls, and many never really recover proper test levels after quitting. I'm fairly confident that this is the reason for so many guys' "PAWS". My test levels were in the fucking toilet, and I felt like garbage all the time. Got myself some test and started shooting 150mg per week. Feel a billion times better. 10/10 would recommend for literally any man with low levels. Will change your life.

You could try to figure the reason for low test. Stephen Buhner has wrote some absolute next level books on the subject. You get to keep your balls too.

LDN more or less repairs the damage to your receptors while offering other benefits, such as getting high on life.

The whole point of my post was that opi addiction is often the reason for low test, even after cessation of use. There's nothing you can do to reverse that.

whether I am using currently or not I come by /opi for funny stories and to spread harm reduction.

Current harm reduction strategy I am using: wear a long sleeve shirt to avoid harmful conversations with your friends and family when they see your tracks

Any male over like 25 should be on test anyway IMO. Test levels are down all across the board compared to previous generations and as you get older it only gets worse. The common esters and a good AI like Aromasin are cheap as shit too so really little reason not to be on test.

I've been sober about 3 and a half years. I basically used to live on this board so in a way I am very thankful. It had helped me to learn and not over dose. I guess the point is, if someone really wants it, recovery IS possible. I just hope everyone here is safe and has good harm reduction practices. I love you guys.

I find both those statements almost impossible to believe. Unless you were abusing some crazy uncharted opioids, there is another disease factor. A healthy person should soon enough recover from opiate habit, not to mention LDN.
There are many benefits of test/roids, even using it occasionally. It's hell of a drug, most powerful drug I guess.

Dude just google opioids + testosterone. Long term usage of potent opis nuke men's test levels to literally castration levels. My claim that there is suppression even after cessation is mostly based on anecdotal data; myself and many, many others.

Methadone has absolutely murdered my libido which I'm fine with, dealt with enough women when I was using, I have hep c anyway so it's not the kind of thing I can be promiscuous with even though I'm not like that. Never knew if there were other downsides beside that and to be honest I didn't care, can it really cause a significant health issue or is it more related to social aspects?

I was worried that heavy, daily kratom use for 6-7 months messed up my testosterone when blood work last month had me at 200 (the lowest normally acceptable level being 300, average being 600-something, 900 the highest normally acceptable). I had my blood tested again two weeks later and my testosterone level was 700. Come to find out on a body building forum that heavy lifting prior to having blood drawn can fuck with your testosterone levels.

Although I know someone that's addicted to /opi/ and I just found out yesterday that they have low testosterone and have to take a shot for it, so that seems like something to watch out for

I know I'm currently seeing a local doctor who works close with my methadone clinic to help get people cured , I was under the assumption that even when "cured" you're still technically a carrier going by what others have told me but I'm really not sure.

I sure fucking hope that isn't true.
She said it was cured, and I hope she was right... Maybe I should make a dr's appointment lol

I'm sorry if I made you nervous or worry, I really don't know myself but I thought that's what I've heard before from multiple people, I thought it just gets rid of any of the physical issues like with your liver and everything else but you are still technically considered a carrier, have no idea what that means and if it's still transferable or anything, most of what I know is hearsay. I see the doctor in a few days though so I can ask some questions then.

I'm not particularly worried, esp after googling it.
The real lesson here is to always have condoms on-hand.

Tapered to .5mg bupe, then did a bag of some fentamix over the course of the last day. I've been off opiates for 5 days and I still feel kinda sick, but it's fairly mild. If I hadn't been using bupe for 2 weeks and was doing bags instead I'd feel basically 100% right now. God damn I hate how long bupe detox lasts, but it's far milder than going CT off a dope habit. I've been munching gabapentin like candy to counteract it and reduce cravings and sold or gave away my last subs. I don't plan on staying clean or anything, but I don't wanna be hooked at this point in my life.
