Can you plug oxycodone, and if you can, how quickly does it kick in? I have chronic migraines and I'm tired of my digestive system shutting down before the meds kick in, getting absolutely no help for the pain. The last four migraines I've had were with no pain medicine because of that shit not kicking in in time.

Id tell you to snort it but most makes it to the throat anyway... damn bro, try plugging but afaik its gonna mess with your stomach anyway.

I'm not really worried about the opiate nausea that much tbh, I pretty much always throw up from the migraine pain anyway. When I have a migraine it goes like this usually:
  1. The migraine aura starts as a color spot in my field of vision, like if you look at a bright light. Over the next 20-30 minutes that spot expands into a jagged ring or strobing color. The ring expands until it disappears from my field of vision entirely
  2. Shortly after the aura starts the digestive system shuts down completely. Even if you eat something (or take medication), it will just sit in your stomach. If that happens before or right after I get the medicine taken, the pain meds will have zero effect.
  3. 20-40 minutes after the aura first starts, the pain will set in just above and behind the eye on the opposite side of were the aura started. Usually the aura starts on the right, and the pain starts on the left.
  4. Over the next hour or so the pain will get worse and worse, and nausea will kick in. By the two hour mark the pain is usually so bad that suicide has crossed my mind on multiple occasions.
  5. The pain will usually last for around 4-5 hours then slowly start to fade, and I will usually fall asleep right after from exhaustion.

If I can find a way to bypass digestion, I'll be a lot better off. I was thinking of crushing up 20mg of oxy with a little bit of water and using one of those plastic nozzle pet medicine syringes to plug it. But I have no idea if that will even work, or if 20 mg is too much for using that way.

Google claims rectal use is 67% efficient so go for it man, oxy is a very uhhh.. permeable drug, im sure you'll get something, its either that or iv / im for you it seems.

Hope for the best man and I'd recommend trying weed to curb at least the lack of digestive movement.

I was going to say try zofran for nauses but one of the more common side effects can be headaches. Works great for anti nausea though.

Well, fuck. I suppose 67% is still better than 0%. Is it safe to use crushed up pills iv with the binders and and coloring etc.? I have no experience with shooting anything, but if that's what it takes, that's what it takes.

Dont start shooting up if you don't absolutely have to, try to get an anti nausea medicine before hand, moving over to IV changes everything.

Oh, believe me, I don't like needles one bit and that would be a last resort. The nausea isn't really the issue though. In the early phase of a migraine digestion literally shuts down entirely, not because of the nausea, that comes later, but because of what's called gastric stasis. It's where the entire digestive system just sorta stops and the contents of the stomach (i.e. the pain pills) just sits in the stomach and doesn't move to the intestines for hours. Even if there were no nausea, it would still be much too late to be of any use as pain medicine. There's usually no vomiting and very little nausea when I get the medicine in time, it's generally the pain that makes me puke.

Oh wow thats awful. Zofran works so well because it stops the signals of your body wanting to puke i believe. If its not stomach related and just paim that makes you puke thencim not sure how much it would help. I hope you figure something out

According to this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4006196/ the efficacy of oral administration is only 60%, so plugging is already an improvement and totally bypasses the gastric stasis problem, so that's definitely what I'm going to do the next time an aura starts. It also says crushed up and snorting was around 77%, so maybe crushing it and making it slightly damp like the consistency of cold flour to keep it from flying straight into my throat would be worth trying too.

A good portion of what you snort can end up in your stomach to just to warn you abouf snorting incase youll still puke

I'm kinda brainstorming here 'cause I'm a bit desperate. What if I filled the straw with the crushed pills, and slid it as deep into my nose as I can, then tip my head back and tap the powder out into my sinus? I checked with a Bic pen tube and I got it pretty far in there. And then just breath through my mouth for a while so I don't just inhale it into my throat and swallow it. Oh yeah, is Zofran otc, and is it expensive? I'm almost completely broke because of covid furlough shit.

Yes you can plug it, but APAP has a higher BA rectally as well. So you should really limit yourself to like ~2500-3000mg APAP. Just crush it up, add like 2-5ml of water, shake it up after waiting a few minutes, squirt it in, and sit upright.

I just want to say thank you to this magnificent bastard right here. After all these years having nightmarish migraines, that even 30mg of oxycodone couldn't reliably handle, plugging fucking tylenol is actually the answer I needed. I shit you not, tylenol in the ass is better for pain than oxy. I barely even feel any pain from the migraine and have almost zero nausea taking 2g of tylenol rectally. I don't even take the oxy at all anymore because of how well the tylenol works when plugged. And it works fast too. Like inside of fifteen minutes fast.

In all seriousness, thank you man, it's made a serious improvement to my life.

plugging was the greatest thing i ever did not gonna lie.
i use to plug hydro's. that was more worth it. cuz eating them is gay as fuck on all levels. and you can't snort them. if you put them in your ass right (like, without shit being there or mud butt to literally block all the absorption (this is a real thing lmao. take a nice shit and make sure its healthy before you plug)) its the best thing ever.

****************LEL**************:
I use to eat a 10mg, wait a few minutes, snort half of one, go prepare a plug, plug one, lay there for 15 minutes, switch sides maybe a couple times, go back and snort the rest of my 10. the perfect high.

I'm 99% sure since hydrocodone is a fucking prodrug there is no way you got high from plugging it.

Nah that's actually sort of a meme. Just like with oxycodone, neither oxymorphone nor hydromorphone account for a substantial % of the total high. IIRC, it's something silly like <20 or even <10% of the whole experience. And even then, if another RoA has a higher relative BA/increased onset, in theory it can be even more enjoyable without those specific stronger metabolites.

I've also plugged hydro many years ago (mostly just as an experiment) and I can honestly say that it was either equal to or at best slightly superior to oral use on an empty/light stomach in terms of onset. Supposedly rectal BA for hydro is only like what, 77% vs. ~70% for oral use? I'd say it depends on how reliably empty your bowels are, how small your dose is (plugging 100mg hydro is unrealistic and you need to CWE that much APAP), and how subjectively inconvenient/tolerable plugging is for you.

I only plug drugs that particularly benefit from doing so, particularly bupe or rarely drugs like morphine or theoretically oxymorphone. For me, sublingual bupe is just not reliable period. No matter the dose, I always end up in mild WD eventually from the variation. For hydromorphone I'd snort smaller IR doses or plug larger/XR ones. Save both types of mucus membranes (and your veins for that matter) on drugs that benefit the most from those routes.

Shit, I just might. I know several people that also have migraines, and I've been soap boxing the fuck outta plugging tylenol to everyone that will listen. For the life of me, I can't figure out why no one seems to recommend this over taking opioids.

I almost broke my neck trying to plug 30mg of oxycodone several years ago. Then i nearly suffocated when i nodded into my chair and the visuals were too intense.
Plugging is better than snorting or swallowing. Its noice i could drink x amount of white grapefruit juice and avoid puking my guts out.

Zofran is an absolute lifesaver, i had (still do) an undiagnosed stomach issue where when i wake up in the mormings id puke on and off for a few hours. Being on daily methadone it made life hell because i was so worried about puking. Zofran changed everything. I do suggest talking to doctor before gettin on it if youre on methadone or anything else that affects QT prolongation as i believe zofran can do it too.

Zofran helps a lot, but it never quelled my opiate nausea when I had no tolerance and got a hydro script. Even 10mg was impossible to keep down. Now, when combined with some good dabs it worked great. Ask about the sublingual dissolvable zofran. It hits faster and if you're puking constantly you don't have to worry about puking it up.
