i wouldn't, last i heard they are poisionous or just make you sick with zero opi activity,could be wrong but i remember my dad grew those and i decided to milk them a and eat the goop, i felt a bit sedated in a weird way like i couldnt tell if it was actually working or was just experiencing side effects like lethargy.

lethargy sounds like a side effect of opioids.. what are you even referring to? Oriental poppies or Opium poppy, anything can be 'ornamental'

I think they werre "oriental" and yea the tired part was that i wasnt sure if it was in my mind or the actaul gunk i eat. They were nothing like ops pic, funny shaped pods they were like this

If they're P. somniferum but I think many are laced with toxic glaze
You could try poppy seed tea from a bulk spice store
If they're mostly dark blue/black with a nutty, slightly bitter flavor they might work out
