gabapentin has worked tremendously for my anxiety, it's similar to pregabalin or phenibut but it's less addictive and less bad withdrawals. youll only really need to take 300-600mg and youre set

Natural anxiolytics include rosmarinic acid (from lemon balm), baicalin, wogonin and baicalein (from skullcaps) and kava kava with its kavalactones. You can find them online, either pure or as extracts from the plants and they're quite efficient at stopping anxiety. They're no fun at all compared to benzos, you can't get high on them, not even on Kava Kava, no matter what some say and no matter how much you take (especially if you have a tolerance to benzos) but they're also Not addictive. I personally really like 'em, I have anxiety and they make feel much better in any context.
There's also passion flower which contain MAOI betacarbolines that do wonders for me personally even though ironically enough they are antagonists at GABA receptors. I don't take passion flower often though because, while it works during the day, it won't let me sleep at night.
Other natural substances with anxiolytic properties are L-theanine and 5-HTP.
Have fun trying any of these or a combination of them and see what works best for you.

I've tried CBD oil. It is effective for anxiety but it doesn't last long, meaning you can't use it for many days in a row before it stops doing what it does. CBD is the one that made be myself the most in a social context when I initially used it. I can't tell you which is more efficient, it's up to you to try and see what works best for you. You can also alternate them, use one thing on monday, another thing on tuesday and so on.

Cannabis, psychedelics, low doses of MDMA (very low, when you need them), arguably the gabapentinoids gabapentin and pregabalin when you need them, SSRIs, beta-blockers, and antipsychotics could also help.

I suggest you talk to your doctor, they could prescribe a multitude of substances that don't have the addictive potential and/or such a severe withdrawal syndrome. Even still, if medically supervised I image even tapering off benzodiazepines could be managed with little discomfort.

Weed and gabapentin are the only other things that help my anxiety. Some people get heightened anxiety off weed, but even a strong sativa is better for calming me down from a panic attack than benzos. Gabapentin is great, but like others said, it loses its effectiveness very quickly. Opiates help too, but getting addicted to opiates is a horrible fucking idea for any reason except chronic pain. CBD is pretty much just a meme. It sort of helps, but it's so mild that if you're getting substantial relief from it you probably don't need drugs to keep it in check

I've heard of patients being prescribed antibiotics for anxiety too, that doesn't make it a good idea. Just because a doctor signed a note doesn't mean it's the right prescription choice. Antipsychotics are meant for the psychotic. Don't fuck with dopamine unless you enjoy the side effects of fucking with dopamine, that is to say, Parkinsonism.

also, if you smoke your weed, try vaping it instead. 100% of the time, vaping gives me less anxiety, maybe because of the diminished symptoms on the throat and lungs and the fact the smell dissipates quicker

Remember though, there's no proper substitute for practicing mindfulness, only worrying about what is directly in front of you and one thing at a time, and proper breathing techniques.

I've also used DPH for anxiety and while it works decent, it's probably too toxic to be worthwhile and can make you drowsy and long term DPH use ruins a man

Check out your local pharmacy as well, I've found benzedrex inhalers (used normally, not eaten) are soothing and relaxing, and in the past when I took less drugs with potential interactions, St John's wort , OR 5HTP ( don't take both) are decent anxiolytic antidepressants for some people.

Above all, make sure you are getting enough sleep, more importantly keep your sleep schedule consistent, staying hydrated, eating enough, do some light excercise twice a week.

Don't ever do benzos, especially not recreationally. If you've used them in the past stay strong and away from them. They're too strong and don't allow you to correct what's causing your anxiety. They should really only be used in panic attack situations, such as for a phobia of flight if you need to fly

Just want to add that CBD does work very well for anxiety but "CBD products" in the US at least are unregulated and probably 99% bunk quality.

I've always wondered, if you do have a strain with high CBD content and low THC content, what edibles with that strain would be like. Itd be like a super concentrated anxiolytic that lasts longer than smoking. Might be worth looking into if you have a source for such a strain

Look into Lions mane. It permanently reduces anxiety and hones your focus. I've heard a bit that it may reduce libido, I only used it for two weeks and I didn't notice it doing that. The Lions mane from nootropric Depot is good stuff

This. Too much DPH can mess up your brain.

I believe that this is caused by the antichloronigic effects of DPH. It functions as an 'anti-nootropic' drug of sorts because it is an acetylcholine receptor antagonist.

A few years ago I got wellbutrin to help me quit smoking. I've had depression and anxiety for years but the first antidepressant I tried was the wellbutrin for the smoking. It made me feel like my brain was trying to be depressed but it just couldn't. It was slightly frustrating. That's all I got.

it works pretty instantly. take it with some fatty food to increase absorption. its weird in the sense that it's bioavailability decreases the more you take, so if you really wanna get wavy off it you gotta stagger the doses. but honestly just take it as prescribed and it'll be enough to do quite a fucking lot for your anxiety

This is true, DPH is the only drug I have ever used that made my brain feel "fried" for a long while afterwards.

The DPH brain fog had been clearing up, but still I got some piracetam, and have been taking it occasionally. I feel fine now thankfully.

1800mg sounds alot tbh. Isn't 1800mg of gabapentin equivalent to like 600mg of pregabalin? I can't imagine taking more than 150mg of pregabalin daily. Even that much is barely a "healthy alternative to benzos".

Maybe it's fine if you don't take any other GABAnergics like alcohol. But consider >>131796 . Anxiety is a healthy response to crap as long as it's not interfering with your social life. You want to keep any medical tricks as effective as possible when you need them.

people forget there's drugs outside the U.S, order some try them out, some are dirt cheap, gabaergic, and non habit-forming.

etifoxine (not that strong but it takes the edge off)
picamilon (non addictive, weaker phenibut)
pactogen (less addictive gabapentin/phenibut)
valerian root
chamomile tea
lemon balm

supplement magnesium, not the oxide trash, do a 3-week course of mexidol.

consider those last two things first, your anxiety will get better, OP.

start exposing yourself to triggers, caffeine even, racetams, good exercise.
quit worrying about whatever guilt or cringe that haunts your thoughts, you'll learn from your mistakes and eventually grow a harder shell.

embrace it, anxiety is part of growth.

Fasoracetam was really hit or miss for me. On the days where it worked, it was fucking fantastic. On the days where it didn't, I felt even more anxious while simultaneously having some mild intoxication where I was constantly bumping into stuff. That might be a dosing issue, (oral vs. intranasal through a spray bottle,) though. It seems to work pretty well for controlling phenibut tolerance.

Also, I completely agree with >>131713.
I went from panic attacks so bad that I couldn't go outside to occasionally being mildly anxious in a very roundabout way because of that. I lucked out though and wouldn't recommend it. It's more a function of the lifestyle than the substance itself.
Along the same note near death experiences can be great for that too.

Yeah, faso can be like the comeup on lsd if you have too much or the setting is weird. It's good if you're in a situation with one objective and few distractions and you need to focus. It's honestly the last racetam I would suggest for anxiety. It has a better track record for adhd. Aniracetam does a better job for anxiety issues, but it also runs into tolerance problems. PRL-8-53 is good for WOMEN with anxiety in an as-needed basis.

Ha, those are my same complaints. I also have a general distrust of the fat soluble racetams vs the water soluble ones. They just don't feel like they're processed out right. I suspect there's some sort of metabolite that builds up in the body if you use them regularly.
It's a really odd one. I'll ask my wife if she remembers the sources, it's ben too long sice I went digging into it. Though, on an unrelated note, I think it might be useful in MDMA therapy sessions. It would knock out some of the weirder emotional reactions. I also think humans involved it to give women a mental edge when trying to take care of a baby, as it has both anti anxiety and nootropic/focus enhancing effects, though it's associated with the lactation pr esses.

Try kava. I'm still skeptical about it being completely safe and healthy, especially if you take other drugs, but it does help with anxiety and it's sure as fuck healthier and more sustainable long-term than benzos lol. Maybe be cautious if you have a history with drugs that act on your serotonin receptors and make sue you replenish vitamins and minerals in your diet

There used to be a really interesting, amazing really thread on Longecity entitled something like "TREATING ANXIETY SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY". It looks like you need to login and/or pay for registration now to see it. One of the key points was generally speaking never to use anything that downregulates gaba receptors. Valerian root is probably the single best thing I've found that you can buy almost anywhere in a pinch if you have literally nothing else for a comedown and you don't want to drink for whatever reason. Antihistamines suck for this and usually just make things worse.
