Massachusetts legalized recreational weed by ballot measure this last election. Good news, right?

Nope!

Already, the legislature has postponed sales for 6 months, and is looking to push it back even further. And, even though people are now growing their legally allowed 6 or 12 plants (depends on number of adults in house, etc...) these assholes want to ban self-grows. Basically, they are saying they want to roll the whole thing back.

WTF?

Are we so far down the dictatorship road that even things that are voted into law are now something that can be ignored?

God, this grinds my gears....

I realized this in 2014 or 15, when Florida voted to legalize either recreational or medical cannabis in something like a 55-60% to 45-40% vote, but cannabis was not legalized there because of some dopey rule that said they needed at least 65% of the vote to win. (They got it passed in 2016 though, i believe)

Ummm....feds have fuck all to do with this.

This is a state matter.

State voters approved recreational weed by something like 65%. We made it law. Now, the old school drug warriors are simply undoing the will of the people. Just fucking giving no fucks and negating a law.

Fucked up.

Local state politicians. Opportunity. Let people legally grow, take that away and establish penalties, bust established and average joe growers jail and or imptison them = $$$$ for state and local authorities. Sound odd, that is what the war on drugs had ben for quite some time. Privatizing jails and prisons is for profit only.

To expand, privatizing education, medicine/medicare, it's about corrupt politics and free handouts at the expense of the people. Same as it always was.,

Man, this is rather disheartening, but expected. For me, this vote was primarily about two things:

1.) Stopping peoples' lives from being ruined by this stupid pointless bullshit
2.) Giving a MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE middle finger to all those masshole corruptocrats who did their damnedest to stop this vote from ever getting off the ground in the first place.

Increasing my personal access to cannabis was hardly an issue compared to either of those.

I mean we knew it was coming - seeing as how they trashed the implementation of medical so badly that everyone just goes to rhode island. They then had the gall to USE THIS AS JUSTIFICATION FOR WHY RECREATIONAL WOULDN'T WORK EITHER.

Boston freedom rally/hempfest has to sue practically every year due to its permit being yanked unfairly at the last possible moment. It's become routine. This year, our media constantly regurgitated the same drivel about how the measure definitely wouldn't pass, so don't even bother. Sound familiar?

For someone who spews the word "INNOVATION" like it's dysentery during a cholera outbreak, Walsh didn't come across as much of a man when he was suddenly all "WELL this is just a predatory industry that only wants to take advantage of people and their money!" Oh, right, and the HUGE NEW FUCKING "STATE OF THE ART" PRISON YOU WANNA BUILD, FUCKING ISN"T!?!?!

Sorry, I mad, but this is horseshit. Making it legal to have but impossible to legally, non-medically obtain? When it comes down to it, you can always count on the Commonwealth to pull every slimy trick in the book.

gather likeminded people, wear guns if legal and confront them. Make sure you have the law on your side etc... just show you're not weak bitches to be fucked.

And kill 1 or 2 of them to set an example if peaceful measures fail. Your forefathers and American tradition of liberty will smile on you.

Water the tree, boys.

LOL knowing so little. Feds have everything to do with only reason State legalization has gone this far is because the Obama Administration let it. You need to learn more.

Go watch Trump's pick for AG answer the questions about letting states keep is "right." Sessions only broke with the KKK when he found out they smoked weed.

Fucking Walsh....

Walsh is an asshole. Just because HE has a drinking problem and is now sober doesn't mean "OMG! EVERYONE WILL BECOME HEROIN ADDICTS IF THEY SMELLS THE MARIJUANA JOINTS!"

Fuck that guy.

Yeah, I am really worried that by the time they are done with this, we will have HARSHER laws than BEFORE they voted to legalize.

Maybe he'd support it if he found out yuppies like weed. Won't hurt the insane amount of gentrification going on.

LOL. I'm from elsewhere in NE, and Boston is generally annoying. But I gained a shitload of respect for them when they voted the olympics the fuck out.
