If you're planning to learn web programming, you have to start from the basics.
First you have to learn HTML, then CSS and after finishing it start to learn Javascript.

Depends on what you actually want to accomplish with programming?
Unless you have a goal or some kind of project you want to do, chances aren't very high you'll be motivated to stick with it.

The C Programming Language

How do you expect to manage your Domain Object Model without understanding allocating electrons to your memory blocks!?

C first is a world of pain, I'd at least learn Go first...

I learned Lua first, then C++, because I was caught up in the Open Tibia scene, way back in 2008.

Get out a piece of paper
Write down exactly the kind of video game you would like to make
Doesn't matter how impossible it is, the more impossible the better for your education
Now, try and make it from scratch. Forget what everybody says 'you can't do this.. no way blah blah'.
Learn as you go and you will always have motivation to keep doing it

God speed anon

You can read many books or better to watch different educational video on youtube. I prefer to choose second way. I used help of https://darvideo.tv/ increating different video about my educational software. In fact, alll of marketers feel this way, with some agreeing that companies will make more videos because they’re easier than ever to create in-house. Nearly half say that competition will be tougher because the pandemic made video a necessary investment.

truth. I am making a vid game for some followers on circlejerk and going through this process has taught me more about programming than 3 years of university did.

this is only true for the beginning skills, but perhaps thats because advanced usage hasnt filtered into video format, anyway you speak type like a marketing pamphlet so i dont trust you, colleges are still educating computer scientists with text books and computers, not videos, except as anxillary resource. It kind of works in the context of tech because self promotional DIY coding videos can act as a step into more gainful IT employment and skills. thats why theres so many shitty 101 JS or Python courses and i find filtering through the crap hard to impossible for a newbie who doesnt know what theyre looking for.

whatever floats your raft; dude. All i know is that I got a job in tech from skills that i've taught myself, not from class. Also have ex-classmates and friends who still feel as though class did not prepare them for any real job. Not to say university is worthless; but you cant JUST depend on class. It, evidently, will not be enough. So if you want to make a game; the best way to learn is to make one, research, trial and error, read books. But yeah; i would prefer to read documentation that doing tutorial videos but whatever works for you. or whatever

its not the class that provides useful information, i didnt not say class alone is successful, i said class is the gold standard for producing computer scientists, and so one should look towards their materials: textbooks and assignments.

agree to disagree. Most kids in my class cant even use a fucking terminal; or know how to use git. They are senior undergrads. I guess in my experience i would just have to disagree.
