Tunes To Trip To by Samuel Snodfoot - Mon, 12 Feb 2018 21:48:02 EST ID:jy1I0oeX No.885933 Ignore Report Quick Reply

First post, inform me if I'm being a twat unintentionally. But I was curious if anyone would like to drop some music in this thread. I've got some 25i (spare me the shit please, I know it ain't healthy) and I was looking for something to listen to while enjoying the closed eye visuals. I'll be taking half a tab since these tabs are too strong for me personally, a full one just fucks me way too much for it to be enjoyable. I do have two 1mg Lorazepam tablets on the incase of a bad trip, have never needed them however. I'm usually quite calm and collected on this compound. Music or conversation in general would be nice, pic related. It's a timestamp

I find a lot of explicitly or purpose-made "psychedelic" music to be unbearably kitschy, or else unlistenable under the influence. There are a few exceptions (Gong, Os Mutantes), but's that's my rule of thumb.

All-female Tuareg soft psych from Niger:

Smoldering Islamic devotional folk-funk from Morocco:

If you like ambient try pic related, or atleast tracks 4 and 5

Also check out aphex twins selected ambient works 85-92 and if you like that maybe selected ambient works vol 2, but be warned, the 2nd is very strange and a little freaky sometimes

Why do you think it's not healthy ? And what do you find positive in it ? I'm just a curious guy. i enjoyed 25i sometime last year before knowing what it was and know im too afraid by the horrors stories to try it again. but had good trips with it

I have a deeper appreciation for music than I do for TV, but that's just personal preference. Calling either of them a "connection to eternity" though, is such a New Age bullshit way of speaking. It's like a whole language a lot of /psy/ is fluent in.

If you put "Downtempo" into Pandora is makes some nice music to listen to after you've gone through the come up phase. It may sound depressing during the come up, after you have come up the music is great. it doesn't impose any bias so you can go wherever you want to in your mind while still having nice tunes.

for nice relaxing trips alone I like to hop in a bath and play something like Earth 2 on a stereo with a >20W sub

another fave is the FSOL BBC Radio 1 mix from 1993: https://youtu.be/IMiTURPpcvs

some guy named Ono Teave used to have a great shamanic drumming track on various types of eStores but for some reason he no longer sells his "The Shamanic Experience" CD. I have a copy of it I need to upload, so I'm leaving this as a reminder to myself.
