Are Amanita Muscaria /psy/, /dis/ or /del/ ?

In my limited experience, they are more /psy/ than anything else. Just pure white divine light. An amazing friend to hang out with.

I've done them affects are as follows:

4g dried is really all you need

First you feel really sedated almost like opioid sedation but less enjoy able about one and a half hours later you stop feeling the sedation and start feeling almost stimulated and this is when you start feeling a trippy psychedelic mindset with very decent euphoria. The visual are not that pronounced CEVs and mild OEVs can be seen but that's usually not that special unless you do alot walls breath and wobble tracers are very pronounced. Through ot this stage their is a very distinct but mild delirium which only really effects you if you take more then 6g imo. Lasts a long time up to 16 hours if you do alot not recommended tho.

Over all enjoyable very different drug not like any other be careful with your dose.

Bit of all, depending on who you ask.

I heard Animita contains ibogenic acid, which is a neurotoxin. I heard it can be neutralized by cooking the mushroom first but I'm too paranoid that trace amounts of neurotoxin would mess me up. I'd love to try it but I don't know if it is worth that risk.

pretty sure it just makes you nauseous bro shit don't kill you or nothing

It's iboTANIC acid, and it's just something that will fuck up your gut for a few hours. And no, cooking it will make the mushroom inert, essentially a reddish culinary mushroom that's half decent in spaghetti. If you dry it out thoroughly though, that will convert the ibotanic acid.

During the beginning of the spring I ate about 5 dried caps a day for a week and they only got better as my tolerance increased because I would be less sedated but the visuals and euphoria would increase. I seemed to only grow tolerant to the negative effects. If I laid dowm the sedation would come on quickly though and help me sleep. Had really vivid dreams that had to do with being in completely empty voids and then a restart of my inner universe. Really gave me the feeling of what death and rebirth might feel like or how something can manifest itself from nothing or almost nothing. Can't wait for them to pop up again next spring.

I doubt it's so much about tolerance, and more so about your liver getting accustomed to producing the right enzymes to break down the unwanted constituents.
Samuel Tillingbury - Wed, 04 Sep 2019 16:04:25 EST S2GOlZrm No.898132 Reply
Is it? Tolerance is usually about the body or mind's reaction to the primary active constituents though. This is more like being used to eating mexican food.

This is how I do it:

>dry mushroom caps on low heat 40-50 °C in dehydrator for 48 hrs (should be completely dry like crackers)
>vacuum seal them for long term storage
>crush cracker dry caps and make a tea with sub 80 °C water
>let sit until drinkable temp

Drying them converts the ibotenic acid to muscimol. What little ibotenic acid is left over after drying gets converted in the hot water.

These guys are all over the place in Scandinavia now. An amazing mushroom year overall. Never seen this many mushroom in the forests before. Maybe will be good for liberty caps later also.

yes, it's referred to as dispositional tolerance (also pharmacokinetic or metabolic tolerance). a classic example is how the liver produces more enzymes in heavy drinkers and alcoholics when they start drinking in order to break it down more quickly.

>Pharmacokinetic tolerance (dispositional tolerance) occurs because of a decreased quantity of the substance reaching the site it affects. This may be caused by an increase in induction of the enzymes required for degradation of the drug e.g. CYP450 enzymes. This is most commonly seen with substances such as ethanol.

>This type of tolerance is most evident with oral ingestion, because other routes of drug administration bypass first-pass metabolism. Enzyme induction is partly responsible for the phenomenon of tolerance, in which repeated use of a drug leads to a reduction of the drug’s effect. However, it is only one of several mechanisms leading to tolerance.

and then do you eat the wet shroom sludge or just drink the water? and this can be done immediatly after drying?

I usually drink the sludge. It's not that bad. If you don't want to drink it, you can filter it and squeeze out the rest of the tea. Can be done immediately after drying.>>898165

I grind mine after drying and store them in ziploc bags in the freezer. Still good after 18 months.

For dosing I steep the powder in room temp water for 30m or so then filter and discard the solids.

It mixes beautifully with weed edibles ime.

Everytime I did these things I would get the feeling that if I kept running faster and faster my steps would start to ascend an invisible staircase to the sky

so you drink the whole thing or you seperate the mushrooms from the liquid? because what would be the point if you drink/eat the whole thing?

I drink the whole thing since I don't really mind the taste/texture, and to be sure to get all of it in me.

I can't wait for fly agaric to start popping up here. Of all the mushrooms, it still remains my favorite, even over psilocybin species.

Probably mostly for all the lore and mystery around it, and it's also gorgeous. Such a warm and empowering feeling you get from it.

I've acquired about 15g of these dry, saving them for a rainy day. today I injured my back quite badly at the gym so I think I'll have to take some time off work. is it reasonable to enjoy these mushrooms alone in my room while injured?

You guys should be aware though, there are two other amanitas that might be confused with the muscaria.
Rubescens, that's actually not active/poisonous and supposedly damnedly delicious (have some used mushroom books, where prior owner had marked them according to tastiness, marked this one 10/10 super delish, book says it's amazing fried on toast)
Second one is Pantherina, described as more poisonous than Muscaria (don't know if that means different or same poisons but more potent). More brown than muscaria, but has been mistaken for Rubescens and lead to deaths.

Pic related, a Rubescens (Blusher in ENG apparently, because of the tendency of the meat to blush reddish).
If you're not aware of them you might mistake them for a Vintage Muscaria because it's almost alike just a bit deeper less bright colour.

Drying these correctly is fine. They should turn brown. Unidentifiable to what
they looked like before. Munching pieces here and there with some beers may
kinda lift things up. kinda like small amounts of dxm, or whatever cough suppressant.

Here they grow in masses. The larger ones are more toxic. Some get pretty large. The hippies don't bother with them. If that says anything. But as poster said, a bit of all.

Panthers have a bit more muscimol and ibotenic acid. So they would be potent.

I still prefer ingesting fly agaric because they're a bit more established. But with both the major toxin is ibotenic acid.

Read somewhere that carbonated drinks will reverse muscimol to ibotenic acid. Don't drink anything fizzly after eating dried amanitas.
