Hey guys, I need some help identifying these, which are fairly similar to Liberty Caps, but I have some doubts. I found them on the same field where I normally pick my Liberty Caps (successfully identified), but a couple of elements are unconvincing.

  1. Spore print is white (instead of brown-purple);
  2. The annular zone is not brown-purple like on some liberty caps, it is mostly white. The browinsh part seems to be on top of the cap.
  3. Some of the bigger specimens have the bottom of the cap folding a little bit outwards (instead of inwards like on Liberty Caps).

They all have nipples and grow exactly in the same manner as Liberty Caps. What do you think?

Btw, these weren't frail enough to be considered to be Conocybe apalas, even if the resemblance is quite pronounced.

Thanks in advance for any input and stay safe!

Isn't the Mycena species saprotrophic, meaning they grow on dead wood? These were found on grass...

Liberty cap is saprotrophic as well. They feed on dying grass.

If the spore print is not brown-purple there's no chance these could be psychedelic, right? I heard there are two types of Mycena mushrooms that contain psilocybin. Now I wonder if these are one of them. They look like liberty caps when dried (huehue).

there is no chance of it being libs - yes. All the other psilocybes have dark spores also AFAIK.

I'm not libertarian comrade, I consider the sacred ratios as the highest body of lawfulness and truth we should guide ourselves by... libs - is a slang for a kind of a psychedelic mushroom. Go back to /pol/
