Hey there, just wondering: are these poisonous? Imagine I went looking for Liberty Caps and ended up with some Mycena mushrooms that I didn't recognize while picking them up, and then ended up drying them with the other Liberty Caps, could it be dangerous if I ate a couple of them without noticing while dosing on some libs?

Wild mushrooms are always dangerous. There is always a risk. Even mycologists have problems id-ing shrooms without sporeprints.

If you want to be sure, just buy spores or growkits.

Yes but these are really weak so you have to eat lot. At least double that amount

If you have problems identifying liberty caps, you might want to get a brain check. They're the easiest species to id.

What part of what I said is impossible for you to understand? If mycologists have problems id'ing mushrooms, you do too. You're not as good as you think you are.

Yes they are easy to ID, but not for most people. I think you are thinking of muscaria.

By ''mycologists'' you mean some retards that write mom articles about mushrooms? If you've found liberty cap few times, you can't go wrong unless you're blind or retarded.
Because most people don't research enough. They just find one picture of liberty cap on the internet and goes hunting picking every small mushroom from pasture thinking it looks like liberty cap.

Oh give it a rest, you arrogant dork.

If lib caps were easy to spot for newcomers, we wouldn't have hundreds of threads asking.

I understand, but even so, most people are so lacking that you would hardly believe how easily they can misidentify them even having done the research. Now muscaria on the other hand is quite easy for most anyone. But seriously, libs aren't the easiest shrooms to ID, c-mon.

Are these Psilocybe pelliculosa?
Phineas Nickleway - Thu, 24 Oct 2019 22:00:49 EST g2zCBbtK No.899437 Reply
You need a spore print. If spore print is white (like it seems it'll be), then there's no chance these are psilocybes.

Psilocybes always have brown-pruple spore prints.
