If ya'll didn't know, Leonard Pickard was released from prison in the last few days! He was sentenced to two life sentences for LSD production and was released on compassionate release because of Covid. He's sick, but hopefully he pulls through.

For the younger people or for people that aren't aware of this rabbithole of a case I suggest you read up. It involves large scale LSD production and extravagant psychedelic parties thrown in a missle silo in rural Kansas. They had wild sex parties, were using DMT through IV's and they were producing kilos of LSD and DMT. This all happening in the early 2000's and after Leonards arrest, there was a 90% decrease in the supply of acid. In the mid 90's there was a documented acid wave. Infinite amounts of LSD was being spread around and part of it was because of this guy.

He was informed on by one of business partners Todd Gord Skinner. Who ended being a psychopath who tortured a kid with psychedelics and physical abuse. Leonard was a buddhist and star track runner and when he was caught he outran the feds on foot for a couple days.

I've met some of the people these guys knew and partied with. A lot of them kept up selling and doing drugs and a couple/few went straight. While they're all half a generation to a generation older than me the ones I've met were still pretty burned out albeit not terrible people. I'm not entirely sure but some of those folks might have been the same people who started bouncing bear botanicals and were wanted on extradition in a number of countries for selling salvia illegally among other things. Back when the site was a real thing they sold lots of cheap mimosa hostilis as well which probably didn't help their case, and while the domain name still exists(possibly) I don't think it's at all what it was if even the same at all.

Yo that's crazy. I've always been fascinated by this case and wondered what the people and parties were like. It makes sense that most of them are fried. You don't meet a lot of people that party on this level. After the arrests years later people broke into the bunker and smashed open two sections of the marble wall and took out cash and DMT that were stashed. It's crazy they were able to keep the whole thing a secret for the most part. The only reason shit came crashing down was because Skinner got all paranoid about the LSD and ran to the cops for immunity.

This is really good news. Sucks that it's supervised release so he probably can't do shit, but I was really bummed that he'd probably die in prison.

You guys should check this out if you are interested in this stuff http://freeleonardpickard.org/Skinner-Timeline.html It will give you a good place to start and you can go off any number of ways from there. Only things you wont be able to still find are the 100s of old NS videos and some of the sites that weren't archived. Bouncing Bear is also covered in there. Their involvement has always been widely known but they are in no way connected to the Skinner era shit. Just KC during the early Youtube stardom days in the mid-late 00's

and a big shroomery thread on it: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18289908

as happy as i am to see this man released, supervised or otherwise, if anyone ACTUALLY THINKS this man is going to go back to producing LSD after 20 years in prison with seemingly no way out you are fucking delusional. We need to let him live out the rest of his life in peace and quiet
