I thought I'd devote a thread to psychedelic music, and music that's enjoyable while tripping. I currently am only on Cannabis and have no psychedelic hallucinogens. Although I've used shrooms hundreds of times, including at high doses. I'm also very experienced with LSA from Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds. Less visual and much more thought-alteration then LSD or Psilocybin/Psilocyn.

I usually listen to Psychedelic Trance/Goa Trance while tripping. It's not only dance music, but heavily listening music, which is how I enjoy it.

Here's a few good tracks:

Hallucinogen - Alpha Centauri (The Album Remix):

Hallucinogen - Deranger:

Order Odonata Vol. 1 Full Album (Classic psychedelic trance compilation album from 1994.):

If you like darker stuff that can give you a bad trip:

Xenomorph - Hallucinatory Spheres

Xenomorph - Satan's Prescence

Xenomorph is a darker sounding psychedelic trance artist.

So, what do you listen to?

OP here. Here's a decent track by Infected Mushroom. It's not a psychedelic trance track, though. It's psychedelic rock, which I also like to a certain degree while tripping. Such as early Pink Floyd. (Piper at the gates of dawn.)

Anyways, here's the psychedelic rock track by Infected Mushroom:

Infected Mushroom - Pink Froid:

Although I only like old-school Infected Mushroom. (IM's work from 1997-2005.) They became completely commercialized in 2007 with their 6th album "Vicious Delicious" and onward from there they are completely fucking horrible. Their recent work is not even psychedelic trance, it's Pop music/Club Music.

Old-school Infected Mushroom is one of my favorites. Along with Astral Projection, Hallucinogen, The Infinity Project, Shpongle, Shidapu/Shiva Shidapu, Xenomorph, Sandman, Chakra, Phreaky, Doof etc.

There are plenty more artists I love, these are just some of my favorites. Anyways, two good old-school Infected Mushroom tracks:

Infected Mushroom - Return Of The Shadows:

Infected Mushroom & Xerox - Acid Killer:

I've listened to these tracks plenty of times while tripping.

Psych rock like The Doors, 13th Floor Elevators, Ariel Pink, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, tons of 60s
Krautrock like Can, Faust, Neu,...
Post rock, experimental and and noise like Einstürzende Neubauten, Coil, Foetus, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Swans, Throbbing Gristle,...
Frank Zappa, mid 70s to 1980 Bowie
Atmospheric kvlt black metal like Burzum
Ambient stuff like Aphex Twin, Air, Boards of Canada and Autechre
The Birthday Party and Nick Cave (unironically)

Some of my faves. I've heard lots of older 60s stuff but I got into a cough syrup binge for a short while and simultaneously had a phase where I got into stuff that was a lot more electronic and weird. Don't do dxm anymore but its def impacted my taste while tripping.

OP here. That Pink Floyd album is great, not so familiar with the others.

Anyways, I'll be getting a large amount of psilocybian mushrooms in about 5 days, so I'll post back here when I'm tripping. Going to take 100mg of Dextroamphetamine with each dose.

OP here. It gives me a real euphoric trip and enhances some of the psychedelic effects. Cannabis helps also, obviously.

Here's another track for the purpose of the thread. Not one of Sandman's best, but still pretty good.

Sandman - G Force:

Listening. This is really good man, I might give it a listen while tripping soon. Good psychedelic rock influence.

OP here, three more days until I get the psilocybin mushrooms and my Adderall script refilled.

Anyways, despite Infected Mushroom sucking horribly from 2006-onward they released 5 decent tracks on the experimental album Converting Vegetarians II. (Released in late 2015.) The other 10 tracks are just as horrible as their new work, but these five are decent.

They're not Psytrance, though. More experimental psychedelic electronic music. One track that I already posted is a psychedelic rock track. It's not as psychedelic or as good as their old psytrance work, but still decent.

Infected Mushroom - Yamakas In Space:

Infected Mushroom - Animatronica

Infected Mushroom - Pink Froid

Infected Mushroom - Blue Swan 5

Infected Mushroom - The Surgeon

Yeah, but still not as psychedelic or good as their old-school psytrance stuff.

The original Converting Vegetarians is one of their best albums. Here's two tracks from it. (It's actual Psychedelic trance.):

Infected Mushroom - Song Pong:

Infected Mushroom - Yanko Pitch

Phoebe Snodhall - Fri, 21 Aug 2020 13:43:10 EST iS/gbLGn No.904768 Reply

OP here. Currently on a high dose of Cannabis and Gabapentin. A key effect in psychedelic trance/goa trance is the modulation of the synthesizers to induce an effect where you can vividly feel and hear the synths. It's greatly intensified by psychedelic drugs.

Cannabis has mild psychedelic hallucinogen effects and this is what I'm currently listening to:

GMS & Infected Mushroom - Arabian Knights On Mescaline:

Decent track, GMS stands for Growling Mad Scientists. They suck now also, but this track is from 1999-2000. Psychedelic trance was at it's peak between 1994-2000. It's still around though, with plenty of decent modern artists.

Anyways, can't wait to take the shrooms (I'll start with a moderate dose.) and the Amphetamine together. 3 more days!

least favorite from the album. But the album is the greatest album probably in widely available recorded music on earth in the last few hundred years, so I'm definitely not dissing the track. If you don't consider other tracks goa... Well Lightspark is still kinda goa.

If you consider March of the Lunar Priests a Goa track and still hold your opinion then I don't know what kind of mushrooms you've been eating, cause that track is just about perfection incarnate. The track is fucking beyond everything even his own music. Lifethread (serene) comes close, but man...

Or you simply hadn't had a chance to hear it in a proper state with the right sound system or headphones. You need very fast and very tight bass (not a big bass necessarily) to appreciate that song fully. And the right brain state obviously.

LSD and DXM the way I've done it has kinda killed music for me *. It makes everything sound good which can be a bit of a problem. And it's allowed me to see more of the beauty in music even when sober. So because of it I've taken a step back from music and now spend more time reading and writing. And I'm more purposeful with music. I reserve it for more specific times and situations.

  • Although my trips showed me that I needed to spend more time on productive stuff anyway.

OP here. Alright, just downed 100mg of Adderall and 3 grams of moderately-highly potent psilocybin mushrooms. Also going to smoke a moderate-high dose of Cannabis as I peak. Woo!

Currently listening to this:

Astral Projection - Kabalah

Not noticing any effects yet, although it's only been 5 minutes. The amphetamine should kick in slightly faster.

OP here, had a very nice trip. Nothing special, thought about malevolent extraterrestrials for 45 minutes and got creeped out but the amphetamine kept me calm. I have seen 3-dimensional, completely real grey-like entities a few times while having stimulant psychosis and on diphenhydramine. I also saw the Hatman/shadow beings when I was a kid, if you go on /del/ you'll know what I'm talking about. Considered it being real for 45 minutes, but not really.

Currently on 100mg of Amphetamine and weed, waiting a few more days to trip again. Here's some more trance:

Xenomorph - Demagoguery Of The Obscurants (Full album):

Not as psychedelic as his other work, but it's a concept album about the secret New World Order and subsequent apocalypse. (Track 1 is titled Prognosis 1776 not Prognosis.)

Here's a single track with lyrics:

Xenomorph - Capitalist Infiltration:

Shitting Hocklestock - Wed, 26 Aug 2020 11:58:41 EST iS/gbLGn No.904832 Reply

I think it's a little stupid, but still a great psytrance album. I don't take diphenhydramine anymore. (Tried it about 20 times from the time I was 13-16.) Shit will severely damage your brain with time, not to mention the dysphoria and terror you feel on the dosages. I only take psychedelics now, and rarely DXM.

OP here. Currently coming up on the mushrooms again. Took about 3 grams. Feeling lovely. Also on 100mg of Adderall, which actually to me makes the trip more pleasant and euphoric. It even calms me during uncomfortable moments.

Will post some music soon. As the shrooms peak I like to ingest a moderate-high dose of Cannabis, although I'm not on any yet. Colors are already enhanced and everything is breathing as usual. Thoughts are becoming abstract. It's been about 30 minutes so I'll report back here later.

Also tons of dub, dnb, dubstep, house, trance, all sorts of trippy electronic shit. Love me some Alon Mor for epic Disney like trips. Some liquid stranger or bassnectar tracks for ultimate chill and SLAYER, electronic music is the best.

Then go back to some old madness (British 2 step/Ska) or classical or funky jazz or gypsy (jazz monouche) to get really trippy. I wish I had more psychadelics man

Even though the very name PSYtrance suggests it's music suitable for psychedelic experiences, I always actually found psytrance more enjoyable on MDMA, while I prefer psychill/ambient stuff during my trips. Here are a few examples

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Tensor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0G-vP5-pIpI&ab_channel=SysLocal

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Silent Running https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P806FwpdxtM&ab_channel=Batetheman

Bluetech - First Came The Stars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXS-w6Gwjs4&ab_channel=Shulman-Topic

Kalya Scintilla - Bone and Stone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NizleY3ntUw&ab_channel=Cheveluredefeu

Biosphere - Chukhung https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc9CVr8zgAY&ab_channel=Biosphere-Topic

Tracks like these put me in a more relaxed state and tend to take me to deeper levels of the experience than high BMP music. The tracks feel like real journeys whereas psytrance and other "faster" genres tend to give me great visuals but still keep me grounded in reality. Just my two cents.

Ah shit man idk how I forgot the Experience and Band of Gypsys, those trips are usually so intense that I can't remember a lot of them though so that's probably why lol but I do now

Hendrix influenced all of the bands I did mention though so the spirits still there

Hawkwind is one I haven't heard in a while but I remember liking them. Sure I've tripped to them at some point. Also Ozric Tentacles

They're a little less psychedelic (except the early stuff, whoa) but Floyd is classic but they'll be first to tell you they're not the most technically proficient so not as harmonically dense or elegant as any of the other bands I've said...

Miles Davis however has probably the most psychedelic band I've ever heard with Bitches Brew and Tribute to Jack Johnson to name a few, also his later funky stuff is incredible too. Really all of his stuff.

Which brings us to John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock and John McLaughlin, and by extension Santana...

Crazy how all these bands are connected by common threads and they all reliably produce the most mind bending psychedelic experiences I've ever had. There's other bands I listen to too but they're almost not worth mentioning after that list, more just for chilling and downtime, less active listening and ball tripping

I am a connoisseur of psychedelic music and boy do I have a ride for you.
Put on your riding hat and hold it on tight.
cuz we are going to start slow with some psychedelic rock.

Electric Octopus "Driving Under The Influence Of Jams"

It's a bit long so you wanna shut it off when the acid kicks and go for something more light and fun like:

Vibe Tribe - Destination Unknown
Sonic Species - Infinity

also this banger!

Day.Din & Klopfgeister - Upgrade

After this it is not time to hold your horses. Grab on to your giraffes and race those zebra's because we are going into overdrive.

1 Peso Trip - Kashyyk
I think this must be my all time favorite.

And let's not forget about the master of Djiboutin darkpsy!
Psykovsky - Hellove Ja Wohl Yo

Did I say master? Let's not forget this generous genius hi-tech master.
Crazy Astronaut - F Killer
Pleas listen to the whole album.

Now if you need something 'lighter' I can recommend this whole album
03.Prisma - Extract of a Fragment Part II

And for something actually lighter (i love me some actual chillout too)

Erothyme - Sound in the Living Current

And the beauty that shakes the heart of all men (and their PP's)
Shulman - In Search Of A Meaningful Moment
it takes a bit to kick in but it is magic on a plate.

Please like and subscribe if you liked my ride.
