Well I've read through the Times article and the CIA paranormal psychology planning.

That article was really well written and a fantastic piece of journalism, its sad to see it censored as a writer alone. The fact it was censored for so long is baffling to me. For one it makes no threat to national security, nor the CIA, or even public opinion considering it is highly objective and skeptical about psychic powers and most of the proponents it quotes are not considered "scientific" sources.

Very curious... it makes you wonder what they are willing to unclassify, and what they keep classified...

My next step is to the read the SRI documents on psychic research, that should be the most interesting. Thanks for the documents OP! Good work!

>hence me saying just pick a single file or use their search bar for paranormal or parapsychology
>any terms you feel within 13 MILLION pages can be searched in the search bar they provide and could be a government study like POLTERGEIST activity or quija boards, all official studies to learn from and spark a discussion, I've just got too much to read through myself to speak for us all
>TL;DR: tired of people's unexplained memories or wanna spiritualist garbage when the board needs a new general research discussion thread we can base all our paranormal experiences off of rather than get know-nothing short discussions
and these are all the most official confirmed studies our overlords have kept hidden for decades. so lets get to discussing or comparing our findings to actual experience.
i for one see this board trolled with lowrate idiots telling everyone to get on drugs because we're insane and need pills, yet CIA study confirms all the traits of parapsychology are easily confused and often confused with schizophrenia as well as other delusions. proof, in fact, that people viewed as insane can both justify the judgement and yet also disprove it, while it would still remain apparent to someone who didnt understand that realm or have any sense of it. something to keep in mind.

Who has time to sift through millions of pages... Someone needs to condense all the good bits and put them in a youtube vid or something. I mean, when they declasify things they should have a youtube account and just release it as a video, like the top 10's etc, but like... You guys do realise that all the research the CIA preformed into the paranormal was just the KGB using double agents to make the CIA burn billions of dollars researching bullshit?

The KGB knew they couldn't beat the CIA in terms of budget, so the KGB used double agents to convince the higher ups in the CIA that the KGB had success in using psychedelics for brainwashing, and using ESP training to give agents remote viewing, telepathy etc. Given that this all happened during the '50s and '60s, the CIA found countless people willing to help (many people who were ironically part of the hippy movement or would later become part of the hippy movement).

Woops, I posted the wrong meta-analysis. Heres something from it for anyone reading: "Our meta-nalysis of forced-choice precognition experiments confirms the existence of a small but statistically highly significant precognition effect. Most importantly, the effect appears to be replicable; signifcant confirmations are reported by two dozen investigators using a variety of methodological paradigms and subject populations" I encourage anyone interested to read the abstract, or the first few paragraphs of the discussion section (last chapter) Here;s another on the same subject: https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP96-00789R002200610001-0.pdf

Meta-analysis is a great way to find signicant information with little seartching, using the text-based search the website provides as the only truly useful way of finding decent files, I haven't found a decent way to comb through the thousands of files better than this.

This is a broad parasychology meta-analysis: https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP96-00789R003100010001-6.pdf

From the abstract of above: "It is concluded that the overall evidence indicates that there is an anomalous effect in need of an explanation"

This is a meta-analysis on "psychoenergetic research" https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP96-00789R002200480001-5.pdf

Check the execuytive summary section on page 6, first point in the summary is "Remote viewing (RV) can provide useful <REDACTED> information. Later in the study: "one technique not mentioned above holds great promise for the future. - neurophysiological study of correlates with remote viewing produced unusually large central nervous system reposponses to light stimuli directed at the eyes. More work is needed to determine if the simple test might be the most effective way to screen for individuals with excellent remote viewing ability." In
other points: RV ability is in approx 1% of general population. RV ability does not degrade with time. At that time no evidence to support a training hypothesis... however experienced viewers are significantly better than the general population. and also: "a potential central nervous system correlate to remove viewing has been identified"

on page 25 under Precogntivie Remote Viewing "Taken as a whole, there appears to be compelling ev idence for precognition.

He doesn't cite the declassified documents specifically, because they were still classified back then. However, he actually worked on Stargate (did not disclose that in this video because it was classified). He does however guide you through meta analysis' of all the publicly available studies on psi ever documented. He actually goes above and beyond what's in these dusky bureaucratized files.

also here’s the file that was referred to about sorts of spiritual psychosis that might occur after paranormal encounter or experience that can appear closely related to although different from schizophrenia. They fully acknowledge that experiencing the paranormal can be a valid thing as well as how the after effect may be confused as a mental illness when it’s actually proof of the experience taking place l, rather than proof the experience was imaginary.

Surefire way to cause Cognitive Dissonance is to not know something like this and call someone crazy because they know something you don’t

This is pretty lame. Whenever you get results for something interesting it's mostly an old paper article about something the CIA used to be interested in.

Man I love living in the first ages of disclosure.
I hope the trend of declassification continues.

I read a few files, and found interesting topics :
  • experiment with medium and extra-sensory perception, and tried to use it for spying. Looked like it kind of worked.
  • There is in particular the transcript of a seance with a medium where he described Mars in 1000 years, with big pyramid constructions and tall people living inside. Worth a read.
  • lot of following on Chinese publication on similar subjects, and in particular articles linked to qiqong. There seems to have been several official experiments in China.

I actually read about that myself I think. Psychic spies for government use makes me think of stranger things and other scifis but there it is, right here in our own reality :^)

I just searched for monster and there were a bunch of files that mentioned a Caspian sea monster. Then it turned out to be just some giant Soviet water plane.

Talking about the Soviets, I love how the whole CIA psychic/paranormal research branch was a KGB counter-intelligence operation designed to waste billions of American tax dollars on fake shit.

The KGB would feed known CIA agents in the USSR info on successful Soviet paranormal experiments and those retarded Americans accepted it as true.
