Opening a portal from the astral planes to the physical domain?

I feel like pulling a Gul' dan from Warcraft would be one of the most heroic feats known to mankind; opening and creating a live portal to the spiritual domain would be legendary.
Imagining deities, polarities, demons and angels fly out into this 3rd dimension would be absolutely rad.
Someone should go for it and come up with some badass ritual.

The first time I did mushrooms, I saw a 2 foot in diameter fractal in my room in an area that I played with a ouija board. I could walk around it and still see it at different perspectives. Even if it was just part of the trip shit was still wild tho.
