What does /st/ think about paisley? Like, if I wanted to buy some curtains with a floral paisley pattern, would that be an appropriate decorative element for a man? Too tacky?

I like paisleys; I think they're very nice. I don't really see what being a man has to do with it, but yes, I think they're appropriate for curtains. Probably the only place I normally see them that I do find tacky is on ties (and usually in unattractive color combinations as well).
Isabella Senderbury - Wed, 18 Dec 2019 02:22:59 EST hoyeodff No.62005 Reply
i agree it would be an OK curtain design and a tacky tie design. honestly though if it were my curtains i would get tired of it pretty quick. just go for dark gray curtains imo

Yeah I realized it was a little too busy for my liking. I ended up going with a moire pattern for the curtains. Still might get a paisley rug though.

I have solid colors elsewhere in the house but I want this room to be different. I'm going to use it as an office/workshop, so I need decor that I can stare at and be inspired whenever my ADD mind tries to wander away.

Spiritual holidays are very important to me. Next year I'd like to paint my face for Day of the Dead. Anyone know what is the best face paint to use and where I can buy it? Cost effective is best...I'm not rich, I'm just a little southern boy

Oh you need to know an ice cream scooper with no face just scooping ice cream and you can tell nothing about her shes just scooping ice cream and there's a flower pattern i guess so its not like how you want to get the ice cream thats made like that because it takes skill probably and you're interested in ice cream that is shaped but you want to know the anonymous women with no head scooping the ice cream because your loneliness beckons to you and your life is like a joke that bombs in the arena of decent people but you long to inflict your influence onto others that you have no right of knowing and that you do not deserve to know and that you have not earned to know the identity of?

I decided to buy pants but i don't really know what would fit me.

I'm not really tall and I'm very thin.
I usually wear (metal) band shirts and hoodies from shows or internet but I don't really want to look like a 'metalhead'.

I think sportswear/activewear pants pants and a pair of jeans would be ok but I dont know what kind/size would fit me better.

And please excuse my english, i'm french.

Go to a store and pick out whatever to see what fits and looks good, it's not that complicated. Things to watch for for a good fit are waist size and leg length.

Don't go for a slim fit or skinny model jeans, IMO they look terrible on skinny people.
And make sure you have a belt for your jeans.

Random piece of advice, if you go to circlejerk's MFA subcirclejerk, they have a very good fashion guide that I went through at one point. It informs you of like a functional foundation of fashion to work with. If you have Neanderthal-like sensibilities of setting up fashion like me then you will find value in it. It brought me to a place where I had a solid wardrobe to live with. lol With that knowledge I can exist and not think my clothes are just the worst. I am going to continue to be protected. People seeing me won't think I have literally the absolute lowest sense of fashion imaginable.

So what do you guys think about this stuff?

Many bash it because they were expecting something ground breaking and ultra creative from the house of Dior and they got this semi-generic linear juice without any significant depth or unique character.
But you know what? Fuck them. People around you will love it. I've gotten a dozen of compliments on this and I get complimented on fragrances very, very rarely. Although I don't like it all that much, up close it smells quite synthetic, it's one of those smells that smell better from a distance, others will enjoy it more than the wearer. What do you guys think about it?

So, maybe you ride a motorcycle or just have a rough life and prefer the extra padding. But a leather jacket and pants is sure to stink to high hell in a bad way if you wear it in the middle of the desert in summer. So assuming you get the thing licked cleaned by virgin maiden schoolgirls, when is the appropriate time, place, season and temperature for leather clothing?

leather pants are never appropriate outside of like orgies or something. leather jacket, wear it when its cool enough to warrant one.

So maybe I'm delusional from watching too much NGE when I was younger but I really want grey-blue hair so I can look like teh-rei. I also have this feeling that since I'm young I should have wild hair at one point, before I properly get old.

Pic related is my ideal swag, but honestly i worry that I would feel ridiculous comparing myself to this handsome asian man when I go to the hair dressers. Does anyone have any thoughts? Will I look retarded? I already have a pretty individual style and I I believe 100% that I have the confidence and personality for it. I just worry that, as someone who was literally put almost zero thought into their hair and never styled it in my whole life, it will be a bit of a mix up to suddenly go to silver-blue and styled. I do like pic related though, is it a hard look to pull off?

A lot of people are going to assume things of you. But what is important is can you rock it? I think the color is achievable/ rockable. My friend just dyed his hair purple and he isnt killing it I must say. It looks fine but definitely makes him look wimpy. I can see its not suiting him internally too. He's been shrugging more often.

Do you have the right face shape? Do you have the guts? I cant say that it would look good with long hair if you have it. A lot of models are actually dying their grey right now. You only live once too. Fuck just do it. Don't like it? dye it back.

So, I am basically planning on shaving half of my head.. and leaving the other half long. It's already round my shoulders, a bit longer maybe. I have injuries and other problems affecting hair growth on one side, so I am basically just going to compromise with a fade or just bare on that side.

On the bare side, I want to get three helix piercings of progressively smaller sizes, with a really rough, punk, tribal feeling to them. While I'm experienced seeing this on women, this is actually my first piercing. And on the same side, I want to make the lobe a big socket piercing.

Someone with many piercings gave advice on how to heal them up, treating with tea tree oil, etc. My question is, should I get them all done in one go? What earrings should I use for the three helix piercings? Just going for a solid black or red lobe plug.

My eyebrows are my defining feature, I think. They are quite good. If I could grow them in thicker on the sides though, I would be supremely, drunkenly happily excited. Is that possible?

Also, I am 28 and my eyebrows are just as full as they have always been. Will they thin with age? Are there any eyebrow serums that work, or is there a good chance I'm gonna lose 'em? Should I just accept that I'm eventually gonna lose the defining aspect of my eyebrows?

Concentrate REALLY HARD!

Nah honestly better advice is to pluck and/or tweeze the boundaries of your eyebrows to accentuate the best shape you want. That's what men with beards do, shave the part you don't want to show, to enhance the part you do want to show off.
