I'm not a very fashion oriented guy, but i've been looking for a decently plain pair of nice boots for a while and I can't seem to find where they sell them. Everything I find is either super utility style hiking boots or CHUKKA or too fancy to be durable and worth the price tage. I just want some comfy plain dark boots like something in the picture. Any tips? I live in east texas and most shoe stores are either athletic or fashion, any outdoor places only carry hiking or construction boots.

People say long hair with a receding hairline is ugly but that guy actually looks cooler than if were to have shaved his head.

Yet you can see his is balding a little.

so I have got myself into all this hippie type clothing, baggy harem pants, fair trade nepalese cotton shirts and trousers, shirts or hoodies with elaborate patchwork or patterns. I haven't had the confidence to wear this type of trouser outside yet though (I am male)

what is your opinion on this style for a guy? I guess it makes you stand out and look kind of weird, but can it be cool? none of my friends dress like this really but we're all into psychedelic shit. any tips on what to wear to really pull off this look?

yeah the harem pants are the main thing about this style that seem hard to pull of as a guy, like girls can wear them with any outfit in summer and its acceptable but as a guy you have to find ones that aren't too gaudy and then there's matching it with whatever top you're wearing

something like pic related is pretty gender neutral I think and good colours for autumn also

I would never wear this stuff in public but I'll wear when just lounging around the house or outside smoking with friends or my girlfriend. I think it would be cool if you wore just like a statement piece, like an elaborately patterned pair of harem pants or shirt with some more plain clothes that compliment it. It's really bohemian shiek.
pic is how I feel when i throw on my harem pants.

You could try toning it down a little bit if you're worried they'll be too much. ie instead of billowy harem pants, try going a little more masculine and a little more street with some drop-crotch joggers? You could look at doing a more colourful/pattern-oriented take on this pic <--

As has been said, pay attention to colours, patterns, and silhouette. And above all, wear what makes you happy.

Hey /st/, I've been looking at shit I can do with my life and one of the options that doesn't seem too bad is beauty school. I've always kind of dug hair and a couple of sites are saying school only costs about $10000.

Wanted to check here and see if there were any people who'd gone through it and could give first hand accounts of the good and bad, what brought you to it, does it hold up as a career etc. Thanks for any feedback.

So I'm living in Brussels, Belgium for a few months and want to do a little bit of shopping. I generally wear your average midrange shopping mall brands like GAP and Express for casual shirts and pants, and dress shirts in the mid-$100s and suits in the high hundreds.

What are some good brands/stores that I might find in Belgium or the UK (or anywhere else within a day's train/bus ride) that fits that sort of budget?

I'm 6 feet tall and 190 pounds – muscular up top but a bit of a beer belly if I don't suck it in, if that helps narrow it down.

pic related, the sort of outfit I generally wear at work back home in the states.

Just go off into the side streets of "De Meir" and I'll bet you'll find some good things.

if that picture's your ideal then i'm taking it to task. TO TASK. your posthumanist sensibilities are waning if you want ALL THAT EXTRA STUFF in your home.

too big, look at all that unused space. non-utility space is wasteful. scrunch the walls in to meet the end of the couch and tv stand. ditch the freestanding lights and embed directional LED lamps in the ceiling. ditch the coffee table too, that can slide... OHOHO it DOES fit into the gap under the TV doesn't it? that's solid. couch can double as a bed, single window at the end of it.

you wanna be real cool you can have the whole couch/bed fold up into the wall, and have the dining table swing down out of the underside/wall of the couch, chairs can lift out of the floor and sink back when the couch is down.

Should I Iet my beard grow?

Also, should I keep my hair short? I don't have a picture of it grown for comparison.

I actually like them the way they are, specially having a beard (what little of it there is for now, that is) but I want opinions.

I'm curious to know what your hair looks like grown out, OP. You look like your mixed (black & white??) but you have a cute widows peak so you look great with your hair as is. I'd have to agree with everyone to lose the chinstrap but maybe keep a little stubble on your chin, moustache and below your lip. You have a young looking face (which is good!) but with just a little bit of facial hair you might look more mature and masculine.

K now that that's done, you can talk to your dentist about getting them bleached. Apparently there is a safe way to do it that won't further degrade your teeth, though it does cost money.

Be glad your teeth aren't falling apart.

I do not like how my face and head looks. This is a picture of my face and head.

I think most of my dissatisfaction comes from my eyebrows. What should I do to them? How/Where do I do it?

Also, I have had a buzzcut my entire life. What kind of hair styles does my facial structure permit? Is long hair a bad idea for me? Hats? Any other advice, or observations? Thanks in advance.

imo you would look more kissable if your hair was longish and you let your facial hair grow a bit, but I think that about every guy.

Your eyebrows are a nice shape, you could pluck them a little bit around the edges if you wanted to but they're fine how they are. Just be careful if you start plucking your own eyebrows, you can make yourself look ridiculous quickly.
