I am trying to remove a small steak of paint from a NY Giants vintage Lawrence Taylor Jersey. The jersey is white, the paint is white. What chemical am I looking for? Paint thinner? Acetone? Also what is this thing worth? It is all stitched, on field version. Thanks

acetone could work but try a small area first and dont leave it on for too long, i would imagine most of the paint would scratch off without damaging the material.

Give it a good wash before and after

Maybe you could stand to smile ever so gently, like just raise the corners of your mouth into a smile by a millimeter.

This is my planned Halloween costume in the style of a ranger from Lord of the Rings, call me a dweeb but I'm pretty stoked on it. Won't be able to bring the sword, arrows, and bow into the bar though :( Unless I get fake ones. The pipe though, that's totally staying.
Anyway, I think I look pretty damn badass in this picture.

So here's the deal. I'm piss poor and can basically afford only one item of each category. But if I find something perfect, I won't mind spending on it a lot of money, if I couldn't find anything decent at some small shop or a secondhand.

Here's what I need:

  • Jacket or a coat for winter. If it's jacket, it has to be thin, not like a fucking fat suit.
  • Footware for winter. I was thinking galoshes of EVA, high boots or MAYBE regular boots, but high enough so that water doesn't get inside the zipper or the opening with shoelaces.
  • Pants. I like cargo style the most - black, wide on the bottom, water resistant, practical pockets throughts the whole fucking thing, not just the sides and ass. They should look nice and stylish when going out on the street, but I also want to be able to wear them on some hunting trip.
  • Hat

Now the challenge is: these should all fit together.

Any suggestions?

Will post some pics close or very close to what I want.

find some padding to create the interior part, then it looks like a leather derivative used as the exterior texture,

the padding must interconnect with eachother so that the points hold in place through natural body movement, but of course it shouldn't go agaisnt it, a tleast in the areas where it looks to be important.

you probably need a sowing machine, and soldering to make it

good luck op

I'm having trouble finding keywords to find the style of pants and hats in pic related.

It's classified as arizona desert style?

Is what I've come close to, but nothing matches up.

I know they're a type of flares, but flares with goucho on the side? Or are they buttons.
Kinda lost cause I've always wore Levis and Lee's really.

Those pants are probably custom leather with the leg rivets/studs for stage appearance. IMO, to get that kind of look you may have to DIY.

What is it called?

What are those loop/strap things that use to be on the side of cuffed shorts? Is there a particular name for that style? Remember them being everywhere, and now they're gone.

Can't seem to find any info on them. Was looking for some cuffed shorts, but can't find those little side straps anymore. That little bit of flair that just made them somehow cuter. Maybe I'll have to sew one on.

there's probably some ridiculous technical name for sewing weirdos, but I've only really seen them be called cuff tabs. I have them on some sleeves and pj pants but never seen em on shorts, it does look nice. Should be easy enough to sew some on.
