Does my beard look like shit? Is it patchy and unkempt? I've just been letting it grow wild, without paying attention to it, the past 6 months, but I dunno if I should "maintain" it or whatever. My girlfriend likes it so I guess that's all that really matters but still. I feel like I should do something with it but idk

Post your beard.

You need to tidy it up a bit. Electric razor is the way to go or just get a barber to tidy it up.

Fuckin' Beards.

brush that shit on the daily, and especially before you trim it up.

I just use a hair trimmer, I think it's the 25mm guard?...it's the biggest one I have and I don't really have a beard face anyway I reckon

Here's my beard from a few months ago. Had to trim it for work but I'm looking for new jobs and I'd like to grow it out again. I know it could have used some cleaning up, at least on the sides, maybe the moustache too.

Suggestions?

I'd focus on cleaning up the sides and hairs that stick out more than others. I don't have my own pair of scissors, but that would be best. Using a beard trimmer for shaping is like carving with a chainsaw. Possible but unwieldy.
