Why is this so fucking hard? Holy shit. The only place with decent (read: not AC/DC or Motorhead) ones I've found was some Australian site but I'm in Canada so I'd really rather not order anything from the other side of the fucking world. You guys have any advice on finding these things?

That depends on what kind of patch you're looking for.

What do you mean? The size and band/genre or are you talking about what it's made of and how it's made?

BOTH, son. A nigga needs details before he can help.

(not so much what it's made of/how they're made. I already know how patches are made and they're commonly made of canvas so size, color, and genre are the only important factor)

Since you're looking for a back patch I assume you'll want something printed in white on black canvas?

Try Angryyoungandpoor, they're a punk oriented website but also offer patches and stuff in the metal/hardcore spectrum as well.

here's a quick link:

Also, Protip:

If you can't find a patch you're looking for, and you really want one, you may have to make it yourself. I've made a few of my own out of salvaged black pants I found at a goodwill that I chopped up and painted with a 50/50 white acrylic paint/fabric painting medium. A rigid acrylic brush is recommended and if you go this route, DO NOT layer paint, if you layer, it will crumble away after the first wash.

I hear that if you go to a fabric store and get some fresh legit canvas to paint on the patches turn out better but salvaging denim from old pants works fine too.
