Hi guys,

My brother and I founded a bespoke eyewear company. All of our pieces are handmade by the two of us out of solid buffalo horn or wood, and adorned with precious stones that are a seamless component of the frame. Every frame is tailored specifically for the individual, though we have a library of shapes that we can base the design off of, if you don't have something particular in mind.

Basically, I'm posting a couple of product shots with a few questions.

1) Assuming you are interested in luxury eyewear, how interested would you be in having a frame tailor made for you?

2) Most buffalo horn frames on the market retail at the $1000 price point. If you were able to purchase a bespoke buffalo horn frame at $2000 that also contains at minimum $800 retail of precious stones and 18k gold, would you consider this a reasonable value?

3) Would you be more interested in buffalo horn or wood, and why?

I went out of my way to ensure there's no branding marked or shown; I honestly just want some opinions from a design and market perspective. My product isn't available to the general public regardless; we are by selective appointment only.

Also, I actually asked the mods before I posted this to do my best to ensure it met reasonable standards of non-shillery. Seal of approval, so far as I know.

Buffalo horn has a long history of being among one of the best materials to make glasses from. It is extremely lightweight, typically lighter than plastic, and actually forms to fit the wearer over time. It's a living material that ages and changes to take on a patina with wear. Every piece is unique and no two can ever be the same.

Top horn manufacturers around the world include companies like Morgenthal Frederics, Hoffman, ROLF, and Ralph Vaessen.

So, the reason we chose to produce glasses from buffalo horn is because we are marketing to the luxury sector and it is an exquisite material.

As someone into fossils and sheeit if i had money and an eye problem to fix id totally shell out some bones for them bones. Get the precious stones blessed by shaman (read:minor on bath salts) id shell even moar
