Hey guys, whippets can get expensive. Does anyone synthesize their own N2O at home/do you have a favorite method of doing so?

love to inhale my homemade nitric oxide

hate to rain on your parade but im afraid you wont get very far.
the lab scale production uses ammonium nitrate which can be used to produce explosives. for that reason it can be very hard to obtain ammonium nitrate depending on where you live and very dangerous to produce nitrous oxide.
this route can be made safer by using ammonium sulfate aswell

i highly doubt youd save any money by making your own considering the work, equipment and chemicals needed. youd also have to produce the stuff on demand or work out some way of compressing it for storage unless you want to spend a few hours filling up balloons or shitty pneumatic vessels.

perhaps you can buy a gas cylinder of nitrous? but keep in mind that any money youd save would most likely have to be invested in b vitamine supplements.
but hey! atleast youre not doing jenkem

Probably cost a few thousand and you'd need tanks and compressors and stuff.

wanted to do it for personal and friends when im ballin like a playa

Theres a ton of cool shit you can do to show off your science peen. Make your own booze, grow your own shrooms, your own weeds, extract opium -although ive always failed at that- or cook your own crank. There are ways, youll find a fun hobby that also makes you more self reliant

Yeah, there's alot of shit to do with science, you just need to be able to have access to equipment.

I built a 3d printer for instance, and now I can make affordable parts for science stuff.

I want to build a CO2 extraction device, checking out builds now.

Unfortunately alot of chemistry stuff you can do at home looks like cooking drugs, so you need to be careful about what you do or else you'll end up witch hunted by the feds.

Basically, you're better off constructing your own equipment.

It costs less, it advertises your witch status less, and you basically learn chemical engineering along the way.

Cooking methamphetamine is not a non-chalant recommendation. The penalties can be upwards of twenty years....

meff heads don't give a fuck

That's because meth cooks just use a normal chemistry lab. Which means any chemistry lab across the country looks like a meth OP.

What you want to do is avoid having precursors on site like red phosphorus or ephedrine pills. If you don't have many precursors to meth in your lab it's a lot easier selling the story that you're just a hobbyist to the feds.

People have done it. A mod on an old forum I used to go to full of people who went to jail said he made a nitrous "hookah" involving a burner underneath a crucible of ammonium nitrate. (which isn't, by the way, hard to get almost anywhere in the world)

The molten ammonium nitrate offgasses various oxides of nitrogen, most of which are lethal. If memory serves he used a solution of nitrite to bubble the gases through before taking hoots. Allegedly. I suggest fact checking this before you try.

Molten nitrate is also a much less stable material than the solid. It could, under the right conditions, detonate if you aggressively heated a large enough critical mass of it. What is well documented in industrial accidents is this stuff melting during warehouse fires and pooling on the floor. Detonation can then be caused by impurities like hydrocarbons falling into it and lowering the activation energy.

blah blah blah

holy shit welcome back green fox
how's the job search going

It's funny and a little alarming that you can instantly tell I'm unemployed. I guess why else would I be here.

No. You told me you were searching for a job a while back and I remembered and decided to ask since I miss you here...

I post at work all the time while waiting for refluxes or filtrations.

If you come to Canada, the weed chemistry jobs are booming here. Might be worth looking into if you're a yuropoor.

Yeah I live in Canada. There is a big fed place that does that here looking for people. Seems like kind of a heavy place to work tbh.

why'd you delete your science madness account?
fucc i was gonna offer you a part time contracting thing there. reactivate bls.

I'm sure the gas would get cheaper than whippets in cylinder form.
