Thread premise stolen from Bluelight. Post molecules you think would make promising drugs. They can be totally novel, or known substances that, for whatever reason (synthetic difficulty, obscurity, poor effects) have never hit the recreational market. Relevant links (literature papers, PiHKAL, trip reports, syntheses, etc.) encouraged.

I’ll start with this one. This molecule is 3-methoxy-4-propoxyamphetamine (“POMA”). It’s active as a mildly psychedelic stimulant and mood elevator. Not terribly exciting, but interesting all the same. He starts with clove oil (containing eugenol), but an alternative route would be to start with vanillin (much cheaper than clove oil), O-propylate, condense with nitroethane, and reduce.

Chlorobutanol, seems easy enough to make. Maybe not the safest of drugs though.

seems interesting. not too familiar with that substance but if it is anything like chloral hydrate, chances are high its shit, from a purely organic chemistry viewpoint i find chloral hydrate a bit more interesting since its an exception to erlenmeyers rule, but i still have like 50g lying around and wont be arsed to take them any time soon.
seems as if all youd need to get crude chlorbutanol would be acetone, hypochlorite and some basic glass ware. not too sure about the purification.

vanilline is my phenylethylamine precursor waifu. your route seems pretty straight forward. all yourd need would be propanol, iodine, RP, vanilline, some suitable base, sone solvents, nitroethanea proper reductant and glass ware. perhaps a vacuum pump if you want to go by the books.

id like to mention ibogaine, eventhough its most likely a meme drug whose benefits are blown out of proportion, id love to get enough iboga root to isolate enough material for a few sessions if only for the fact that it seems the most astonishing initiation rite and is a bitch to synthezise

i guess nitroethane would be the hardest to procure though some years ago some rc fuel actually used nitroethane instead of nitromethane

Nitroethane is no longer in RC fuel because it's listed. It can still be bought from non-US suppliers but you have to find someone who doesn't care about shipping something that's technically illegal. Google "DEA list of chemicals".

As far as I know, the indole amine needs to be free to interact with one of the amino acids at the 5-HT2a active site, so I'm not sure this would work as a classical psychedelic with the 1-acetamide.

David Nichols said something similar about 1P-LSD; that it's plausible the 1-propionyl is hydrolyzed in vivo (i.e. 1P-LSD is just a prodrug for LSD) because otherwise it should not be able to interact with 5-HT2a.

This would explain the 14+ hour duration of 1-LSD. Friend recently got some tabs of acid that he said were "less potent but so fucking long". Propionic acid has a pka of 4.87 as opposed to acetic acid of 4.75. Pretty high considering blood pH and the stearic inhibition. Plus your body is used to acetates and not propionates.

Free rotation and electron swap at the tertiary amine (especially since it doesn't engage in resonance) should make it active regardless. Propionyl would make it more lipid soluble (not that it needs to be considering the size of LSD itself).

This is confirmed by a quick wikipedia search for full agonists of the 5HT2A site which looks to have room for tertiary amines on indoles. Searching again, experimental full agonists includes a few tertiary amines that can definitely not be metabolised by the body listed:

So not only is 1-propionyl indole hydrolyzed (not plausible - quite likely) into the indole, but the 1-propionyl should itself be active. The question now is if different BAs would affect the effects of 1-P-LSD. In academia, it is shown that ROA does not change LSD's effects and onset but 1-p-LSD oral, sublingual, injection might differ. That could be interesting.

Elemicin used to be interesting to me and there is a pretty good wikipedia article on it.
Elemicin by itself seemed to have psychoactive effects and adding a nitrogen could make it even more effective.
It made me hornyer and want to dance more and very easy to come by.
