You can't.
These masks are a glorified fashion statement.

But you probably have a respirator somewhere which gives you more protection and ironically costs less.

You know the masks you wear when using spray paint. Just look in the basement where you store paint canisters. I had two of them, along with two fresh sets of filters.
It protects your lungs against lacquer droplets and they are made to be re-usable.

Can you tell me the size of these lacquer droplets?
Phineas Wushnere - Wed, 18 Mar 2020 06:35:47 EST zCQgmjjm No.79802 Reply
A few microns, but it depends. The same respirators can be used with different filters.
However pretty much any respirator will be at least as effective against droplets from people coughing and sneezing because these ffp3 masks are basically a single layer of the filter material used. And they filter inserts can have multiple layers.
It's just awkward to wear not comfortable and you most likely can't take a phonecall while wearing it.

But these single use masks are just that, single use. Even so they are pretty much sold out globally and if you can find them it's for 10-50x markup.

Buy an mp5 gas mask and fitting 'expired' (but sealed) fp-5 (nato 40mm NBC filters)
if youre european itll cost you about 30€.

Have it and wear it when shit gets really bad.

I guess you could cut out the charcoal and make them useable for even more than 40hours. Way, WAY better than any disposable mask or even the superb half masks anon is suggesting.

And your only option at this point. Act quick, prices were already inflating a week ago

>Blah blah only effective against droplets
Wrong. Pic related.

Coronavirus is about 0.12micron.
Spread this info to others so I dont have to

Please anons, spread the word and care for your family in these times. Keep them informed and prep things like disinfectant or a spare mask for unwilling friends and family.
