If you build a house and make it so that the house has a layer of dirt around the side of the house. Say x feet/cm would the R-value increase or would it make no difference?

Since dirt is everywhere and wood isn't I thought of this. Compress the layer of dirt in a layer around the house. House should be insulted more than just concrete blocks of regular insulation?
