Sort of depends. I rate this shit by potential audience. While some platforms may be more robust and easier to use, if the video isn't seen, what good is it? You don't want to be uploading to some obscure, bottom of the Google search page, platform even if it is the best technically out there. Unless of course that is your audience. Usually the Youtube and FB live streams are where the viewers are at.

If i would record something important i would spread the link in proper places and get huge reach anyway.

I want to create a more or less professional trailer and compilation of my gaming and travel-footage.
>downloaded Hitfilm because everyone keeps gushing about it
>all tutorials seem to cover CGI, greenscreen and other bullshit
>simple beginner tutorials 5 hours long

Seriously:
Isn't there a simple step-by-step guide to create something similar to this
in one YT-video somewhere?!

It takes a ton of work and honestly, a class or two doesn't hurt. That is not including shit like SFX, or sound. Which are both specialties in their own right.

Depends on where you live, whether your ISP cares, and whether rightsholders are sitting on the torrents. You can go a long time without getting a copyright strike, and then if your ISP changes policy and you're downloading something where the rightsholder is really protective, suddenly you're getting them.

Never gotten one with my VPN on. Also, less common sources and protocols can keep you safer.

In 'real life' (as opposed to I.T. theory) every 'organic' event which takes place on God's creation, such as those in one's society has its own effect within its own existential world.

I.E...."Mankind is made in the image of God." or "Man is God writ small."

Surveillance is not for any noble purpose. Perhaps 'in theory' but usually not in practice. Especially in ultra-capitalist Amerikkka.

The President and the establishment and the ruling class think they are 'high' or that they are 'higher' than others (this is human lust and passion) but in truth we all bleed the same in the presence of God.

So on the street level, events which take place have their due significance, no matter what air of arrogance a politician carries and no matter all the catty comments one can make about it, military or not.

It is "We the People" and not "We the Military-Industrial Complex". They are the usurpers and detractors from the 'source code', we are the people of the United States who defeated Germany and Japan, dropped atomic bombs of facists, feed and house the hungry and poor and afflicted of the world, stopped the mouths of tyrants, and landed a human being on the moon. All in the name of liberty and in the name of God and what is right.

i.e.. copy & paste

you only have to copy a URL, and paste the URL for the URL to automatically display an entire webpage

it is like reading blueprints...if you roll out all of the blueprints of an OS, you can focus in on different parts of the OS to see what is going on at a specific part of the OS....and then you can, from there intuit what will take place in the higher or lower levels of the 'OS hierarchy'

API - integral control structure of windows operating system organization to determine how the windows OS functions...one of the 'internal components under the hood', such as a hood on a car contains internal components

I.E.....focusing in on windows API or
.....focusing in on an open source kernel
.....focusing in on GUI display and programming layouts for display

if you look at some part of a windows OSI, for instance, by viewing this part of the hierarchical structure of the (already-programmed) OS software, to be run on a physical machine (hardware), you can see that it fits in with the entirety of the software hierarchy for the whole OS...and thus by looking at a single point in the hierarchy you can discern things about the rest of the hierarchy because there is already a 'standardized' conception of how everything is supposed to function to make the whole OS function appropriately

you could say it is 'standardized' or that it is 'centralized'

I've got a 10" iWork tablet, similar specs (3gb RAM instead of 8GB but otherwise pretty much the same) and the keyboard attachment, cost me about $300 NZD, the GPD pocket would cost $840 NZD, so like 500$ more for a device a bit smaller. What's the point??

Finally got mine. It's a pretty handy little device. Keyboard wasn't quite as hard to get used to as I thought. You're not going to transcribe at full speed on it, but I'm able to type as fast as I can code, which is fine.

I was lucky to get one shipped at the end of the run. I don't have any of the quirks except the weak wifi antenna, which seems to be universal.

They shipped me the Windows one by accident, but I installed the community's Ubuntu spin, and it runs like a dream.

Hey whats up /tech/

Don't laugh at me (or do...) but I'm still learning how to crack torrents here. Right now, I'm trying to get some music software on my computer, which would of course require an authorization code...

As I understand it, I need to do the following:

1.) Download the software
2.) download the crack
3.) delete the source code of the original software on terminal and replace it with the software found on the crack.

Somewhere along the line this didn't work for me, so i thought I'd ask you whats up.

Here's a pic of all the downloads... (I downloaded the installer, followed by the update, then followed by the crack if that makes a difference.)

yup, i tried all 3 and failed.

the only thing that i can think of is that you need to copy the crack to the unaltered ORIGINAL code resources without making a duplicate. And again, I can't do anything to that code resource file because it "you don't have permission to write to this folder".

My private research on various forums have been to no avail, So if there's any real life badasses out there who can aid me that'd be hella sick.

How come you talk like a wigger from 15 years ago? You may not be able to write to the file because it's open or you need additional privileges to modify installed apps. Anyway, if the instructions aren't clear, my best guess would be to look for detailed cracking instructions for more popular apps to see what's supposed to be going on.

Some time back, I installed a simple app to be an NTP server. The app was 5 bucks but to make it work you has to sped $5 bucks. Used a serial and it complained, hey man, whatever, 5 bucks is not much money. Maybe it was 15. Regardless it fully deleted anything regarded to everything. No network or that would have screwed everything up. Person(s) was more into hacking than selling his simple product. I would have bought it. I guess.

hey /tech/

so i had this old seagate 1TB external for years, it was attached to this shitty plastic base external powerpack which eventually broke (the powered base thing)

so i stripped the plastic shell, and plugged the HD on to my power supply and sata worked fine but slow

one day it stopped working, when i plug it in you can hear it loading very loudly (might get recognised for a second) then gone and tries to reload.. seems to be in a constant state of trying to boot

i dont hear any clicks from it either. i tried several things like looking at all connecetd devices and it was a no-show. also tried a usb > sata connector same

im assuming it must be a hardware issue. what steps can i take to save any of the files.

any help appreciated cheers folks

The most realistic fix:
Broken sata cable and/or port, so try it with another cable and/or port, clean the contacts.

Longshot:
Buy the same exact hard drive and try replacing the whole electronics pcb with the one off the one you bought.
This will probably not work, but if you are desperate it's pretty much the only thing you can do yourself.

If the data is that important to you then I would send it in to a recovery specialist.

In the future you should really be backing up important data. At the very least onsite backup+ offsite backup(can be through a cloud). At 1tb this should be pretty cheap.

For my media server I run 3 disks of parity(192tb raw) plus an identical backup and really important data gets upped to the cloud and put on a separate drive and stored in an anti-static bag in my safety deposit box.

I'm trying to install windows xp on an old laptop (why xp? the laptop is 10 years old and licensed for xp.)

The install disc I had keeps asking for a license key, and rejects the one on the sticker on the bottom of the computer. So I torrented one, but it's in Russian (lucky I understand Russian, but I'd prefer English since I'm giving the computer to my wife) and fails when copying the files to .

Then I found that the first install disc I tried stopped booting. Jeez. I'm starting to remember why I went to Linux.

Can anyone suggest a good way to install some kind of windows XP? Is ReactOS good enough yet? I seem to remember there was some kind of cracked version which was like what Linux folks call a distro? Basically I have no idea what I'm doing.

It's very much Server 2003: XP edition. The reason it's so awkward is that 64-bit x86 was an uncertain thing in the early 2000s because Intel wanted to protect its Itanium margins.
