FACT: 80% of Chinese marine fossils are fake

FACT: a Western paleontolist wouldn't buy any Chinese fossils until he had seen the x-ray

FACT: fakes have been sold to the Smithsonian

FACT: simulations of trex biomechanics are oversimplified

FACT: the discovery of dinosaurs is dubious. Why were they all discovered in north america by two guys? and after someone gave a speech on dinosaurs?

FACT: soft tissue was found ina 65 million year old fossil. Hello? Chicken bones.

FACT: Aspies are unable to prove the trex won't fall over and have to resort to ad hominems such as I'm a creationist/schizophrenic/troll/jenkum denier

You can't prove a negative. If dinosaurs didn't exist, explain what oil is. Next.

This aspie still believes that oil came from dinosaurs and not the infinitely larger biomass of unicellular life. That's embarrassing.
Archie Beshdane - Sun, 19 Aug 2018 18:47:51 EST QY9QUgPD No.88474 Reply
Plastics and coal are derived from producers (anything with a cell-wall) which includes most of that unicellular biomass. Liquid hydrocarbons mostly come from decayed animal matter, of which the largest chunk includes dinosaurs. I didn't say all oil is made of dinosaurs, I suggested you can't explain what oil is without referencing long dead life forms, of which dinosaurs are one class. But spelling all that out to someone who doesn't even believe dinosaurs existed in the first place would be completely futile, just like you pointing out to someone generalizing an argument for a hostile audience that they missed a technical detail only relevant to a sympathetic audience. That's embarrassing.

80% of everything Chinese is fake

No Surprise

show example

Someone had to be the first, fossils are global, yes some were faked. Perhaps the speach inspired the expedition or vice versa

When atheists try and push the dinosaur theory on to me and my children they are actively trying to destroy my christian heritage, culture, faith and beliefs and I should be able to resist - with phsyical force if necessary - when they try and obligate me to believe what they believe or try to force our children to believe in their beliefs through things like teaching evolution, the big bang and the dinosaur theory in schools which is a fundamentally against the first amendment of seperation of church and state. it's freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.

Dino is real, but the story we're told about them is BS. Those fossils were created electrically.

Young Earty Creationism is actually a new theory promulgated by heretics. This is what happens when the completely uneducated and barely literate are given Bibles and allowed to teach others as if they were priests. That part of Genesis has traditionally but thought to be metaphorical and allegorical. Any Christian knows this, or should know this I would think. Like for example do you really believe that the part of Scripture that says "and the serpent shall bruise [Eve's] heel and her foot shall crush its head" was just referring to one woman stepping on a literal snake? It's metaphorical you simpleton.

Oh God I just realized this wasn't a one off shitpost while scrolling this is a whole damn thread and I'm on a different board.

As it turns out, 100% of oil comes from age old algae
Archie Droffinghall - Fri, 22 Mar 2019 11:21:55 EST cMjRvEAD No.89685 Reply
Oil deposits are Huge. It took aeons of algae dying, sinking to the bottome of the ocean, and collecting to make pockets large enough to account for the oil we have.

Can you really image an enormouse cave filled up with dinosaur (animal) corpses and nothing else?

I find it very difficult to believe that it's 100%. Maybe the claim that "most oil comes from algae" would be true, but surely some oil comes from decayed plant matter, and some oil comes from decayed animal matter, and so on.
John Dresslekone - Fri, 22 Mar 2019 19:17:43 EST WJUetTNx No.89696 Reply
What do you mean by "electrically"? I'm not sure how that's possible considering that fossils of extinct marine life had been discovered by the ancient Greeks over 2,500 years ago.

Well, I'm not actually going to defend this theory until I see some proper science experiments... which I'd really like to see, since they'd probably look incredible even if they didn't prove the theory. The theory is that an extremely powerful electrical discharge can petrify living tissue.
Simon Snodwill - Mon, 25 Mar 2019 19:58:12 EST L/ue6Tjr No.89720 Reply
The current needs sustained for a longer period of time, from the sounds of it. There's an anecdotal (until I find a source and pictures) report of a high voltage line that was damaged, petrifying some tree stumps.
Albert Drenningshaw - Mon, 25 Mar 2019 20:03:08 EST L/ue6Tjr No.89721 Reply
Actually, yes, lightning apparently sometimes petrifies wood from trees it strikes. I just found this from the University of Arizona, confirming the phenomena. Apparently they've patented the procedure they used to reproduce the effects. https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=
It's apparently not a very big stretch to see that this could have been the real source of the petrified fossils we've found, the ones where the organic material was completely converted.
Albert Drenningshaw - Mon, 25 Mar 2019 22:51:18 EST L/ue6Tjr No.89731 Reply
Just let me run some current through it. I bet five bucks it'll get petrified.

But we didn't have high-current electrical technology until like the 1900's at the earliest. Besides, if these fossils were really made by the ancient greeks, then how come radiocarbon dating wouldn't point to all fossils being made around the same (relatively recent in geologic timescales) time?

Have YOU ever personally carbon-dated a fossil?
Clara Collerstere - Wed, 27 Mar 2019 09:54:32 EST BQ8GA53F No.89742 Reply
This kind of reasoning, that only firsthand experience is valid, invalidates most of what we know about the sciences. You still might be right, but that way of thinking isn't productive. We've never seen space, so is it real? We've never see atoms or elements, so are they real? Never seen the bottom of the ocean. Maybe it goes on forever.

Lava isn't real because I've never seen it in real life. All occurrences on TV and such are merely fluorescent colored waxes.

Your point is lost on that NPC. They literally can not accept anything without it being in the form of an appeal to authority.
On note of carbon dating though, it's unreliable. Too many factors change carbon 13, and that limits it's use way out of the range of /dino/ and foil alike.

I just watched this walking with "Dinosaurs" "show" I believe that big oil is covering up that dinosaurs are made of plastic not that oil is made from dinosaurs because oil is probably just gases taken from Jupiter's Atmosphere like in the Expanse, heck of a good tv show, I think the martians are really just "real" Martian in human jumpsuits like in the DOOM movie with the Rock. Yaknowwhatimsayin!?! There's a lot of moving peices don't get lost that's what the marine biologists and the actual marines want so they can blow up your soul if you look in the mirror and say "Dino's aren't real" three times fast then Biggie is gonna come outta dat ghetto in da sky and make you watch walking with dinosaurs the one from the alternative demention where we are the reptilians and the Humans live beneath the crust of the Earth like the venomous Martian crust devil with their wet ducks teeth oooooOooOoOoOooo!

Carbon dating isn't like looking through a microscope to see a tiny engraved date on the carbons

There are time-calibrations, spatial-calibrations, calibrations for ecological effects, and so on. It's possible that we've misdated, and future revelations will overturn our extrapolations

You chromatogram the fucking thing and count the content of C14 and C13 compared to the C12, the ratio between them determines its age. It isn't fucking wizardry it is science.

Don't use complicated words to confuse people, use mischief and trickery.
