I remember trying my ex girlfriend's roommate's hookah a couple times and enjoying it, so I'm thinking about buying one when I get my next paycheck. What's the best shisha and various shit you need? Anything I should know? I go through 5 or 6 cigs per day. I don't really want to have it for daily use, just kinda when I'm around the house in the evening and have time for a nice little session

How do people enjoy hookah?
I enjoy anything from cigarettes, shitty cigarillos, 'nice' cigars, and pipe; but the one time I tried hookah it was such a terrible experience that I never want to do it again. The place I went to ended up getting shut down so maybe it was just a bad place I chose. Any insight on this by a hookanon?

the most important thing with hookah is the foil/coal setup. u gotta have holes big enough to get a nice airflow but not so big the coals just burn the shisha. also dont stack coals, just place 3-4 depending on size of bowl. use the metal tray to regularly knock ash off the coals so the shisha stays hot. also change the water every use or it can get p. gross. ive setup and smoked hookah hundreds of times, lmk if u got q's

this is true. I use a bowl with a metal lid that has the holes already so if you can find one use that.

Smoking to replace the habit of smoking weed and avoid boozing - terrible idea?

So I'm a general addict - not really to one thing in particular, but weed is my general go to. I'm at a point where I want to have a bit of time off from weed but from past experience I also know that I'll go out looking for whatever else I can find to give me a buzz, normally MDMA or drinking. The main one I want to avoid is drinking booze because of dem calories.

Im wondering whether smoking for a little while, just whenever I would normally have a spliff (1-3 times a day) would help me. I love the act of smoking itself, just staring, thinking and puffing. I know how bad cigs are so I doubt I'd become addicted (I smoked weed so much because it's not got a lot of health impact).

Basically, to help me quit weed and avoid drinking, do you think smoking could help? I love weed but it rapes my motivation.

In b4 I'm called a pussy for being reliant on weed, I've used it as self-medication to deal with depression for years and am now finally ready to try to move on.

Depends on how much you like smoking cigarettes, if you like it a lot it's a bad idea. If you're like me, and get tired of the cigarettes after a while it can be a good crutch.

I like smoking cigarettes on occasion, but it's not a lifestyle for me.

Smoking cigarettes during conversations with your friends is also better than checking your phone.

Not only does it give you something fun to do with your hands, I find that if you gestualize while flailing around a small woodlands fire, people pay a bit more attention.

I'm the opposite op, I want to replace smoking cigarettes entirely with weed. Unfortunately monetary issues prevent this from happening.

I moved to Snus a few months ago and I'll never go back.

I don't feel like shit anymore from smoking cigarettes for years.

I have to run a lot for my job (Army) and my lungs aren't fucking smoked within the first mile.

Dip was good but I couldn't always spit everywhere and the nicotine was waning on me.

I use Siberia -80C Extreme Strong. The burn I felt the first few times were amazing. Every so often I get them now and I just love it. No spitting either, I can use it anywhere I want.

SNUS ROCKS.

Ayyy I'm happy for you.

My professor, who has a phd in mathematics and journalism, also uses snus: shows you that snus is the superior choice

how do I get into smoking? I tried it years ago and had a false start, never got into it.

Whenever I inhale second hand smoke I find it gross and it hurts my eyes. How do people enjoy smoking? It looks cool and I like the idea of having something to do when I'm at a cafe or after a meal.

Just chew bubble gum. Its just as cool but doesn't make you smell like shit and doesn't annoy everyone around you.

These are signs that you shouldn't try to get into smoking.

If you insist, though... maybe you should try cigars (good cigars, not those niggarillos you can buy at the convenience store) or pipe tobacco. You don't have to inhale cigar or pipe smoke, so can at least spare your lungs some damage. And they smell better than cigarettes to most people.

So I've been trying to get addicted to tobacco for a few months, but the smoke hurts my lungs and I can't breathe so I stop. Also, the smell.

What am I doing wrong? Ever since I watched James Dean and Mad MEn I want to be a smoker!

I know one thing I didn't know when I first started smoking was you have to pull before you inhale. Don't just suck it right into your lungs. Pull a bit of smoke in your mouth and inhale it. But honestly just don't. I was where you were about five years ago. I was going off to college and was just sick of always hanging out with nerds and autists so I figured being a smoker would attract the kind of people I always wanted to hang out with in highschool. It didn't work I was still a fucking loser. And five years later nicotine addiction is still a pain in my ass.

Smoking is disgusting and even if you get addicted you'll still be disgusted by the smell of it.
Just get a hobby or something, smoking is a fake way to "reward" yourself.

This. Reward yourself with something that's actually FUN, like meth.
