sure this thread gets made all the time but I'm tired of dropping 6 bucks a pack at the gas station when I know you can get them cheaper online. I'm looking for a reliable source more than anything because from what I've read, some of these online smoke shops are sketchy

It would still be cheaper to buy a carton from a Tobacco shop or Gas Station.

So, i was browsing the official Copenhagen website and saw their video on how they make their dip. Apperently, they barrel-age the tobacco for 3-4 years, that is very cool no wonder Cope's deep robust flavor. But im wondering if other comanies do this as well, like skoal or grizzly. Anyone knows about the matter?

Well American-style dip if often fermented (as opposed to swedish-style snus, which is steam pasteurized) however, I do not know the length of fermentation for different brands of dip.

Hey /smoke/, first post and i've been smoking for roughly two years now. I used to smoke jolly african american newport 100's, then Marlboro Midnight shorts. But recently, my friend hooked me up with some cambodian cigarettes she gets from her family. I could not read a lick of it and she couldnt either but they tasted so different and smelled different than the typical American cigarettes I smoke.

Have you ever had cigarettes from outside your home country and how did you like them?

>Pic related, I think these were the ones, the pack looks very similar but they didnt say ARA on them.

Yeah I'm an American but I lived in the Netherlands for a while.

First of all holy shit cigs are expensive there, it was 5.70 euro for a pack of European cigs, American cigs cost 7.60 euro a pack. For some reason Camels cost the same as the European brands though.

I was a Camel Light smoker in America, but in Europe I exclusively bought Gauloises Blondes. They had a rich, filling taste, but still felt relatively light and comparable to the Camel Blues. For some reason the Camel cigs in europe tasted different than the American Camels. No idea why. They weren't as good imo, that could just be muh murrican pride talking though.

I smoked the Gauloises' though because I thought smoking a very French cigarette was a classy and affected European mannerism to do. It made me feel like I fit in a little more. And plus, I knew I wouldn't want to come back to Europe for at least 10 years after I left, so this was my last chance to smoke Gauloises for a long time.

Oh yeah, and an interesting way the Europeans fuck you over is that guess how many cigs come in a pack in Europe. 20 right? Right? No. Fucking NINETEEN. How stupid is that. A full pack of cigs in europe even had a little extra space inbetween the cigs where the 20th smoke should be. Fucking Europe, man.

Living in a dorm full of international asians has its perks
I have had the following:
>Lamborghini Red
Pretty decent little cigarette, neat 'carbon fiberish' feeling filter. A real gottagofast pack.
>Lamborghini Ice Volt
Same textured filter and pack as red. Its a crushball cigarette with a fruity menthol taste. Very weird, but not bad
>Raison Yogo(yoso?)
A really light cigarette with an extremely candy-like taste to it. Like .1mg of nicotine and it tastes like inhaling cotton candy, also has a crush ball which made the candy even more intense. Overall I liked it. Interesting possibilities to make a spliff with if you were into that.
>Mevius Option2
A weird pack that comes with 15 single crush balls and 5 double crush balls. I had the single ball one and it tasted like disgusting grape cough syrup.
>Seven Stars
Pretty meh lightish cigarette. Nothing crazy here

They're also getting rid of all packaging on cigarettes and 10 packs.

We're talking King Mountain, Pyramid, GPC. Even those awful Red Buck "cigarillos" that are filtered and packaged just like cigarettes. Real poverty shit.

Personally, I've never had anything worse than a Silver brand cigarette. They're so bad that I legitimately can't find anything about their existence on the Internetz. They sold for around a dollar a pack here a few years back, and they actually tasted like burning tree bark. With no hyperbole, I honestly wouldn't have even been able to identify its contents as tobacco if it weren't presented in such a familiar form. Legitimately tasted that fucking bad.

My mum once brought me a pack of cigarettes from Gibraltar called "Blackjacks". They cost a £1 and tasted fucking horrible , it was like smoking pencil shavings or something. They don't even appear to really exist so I'm pretty sure some guy just made them and pretended they were a real brand.
In the highly unlikely event you come across them don't buy them. Especially since you can buy a pack of American Spirit for £2 in Gibraltar, or you used to at any rate it might have gone up a bit now.

i smoke ports..in nj, which is like 7.60 a pack. keep in mind that its not 100s just regular short ports.

but here's the problem: i want extra money around. i'd rather not spend 7.60 a week for some decent menthols.

Look for cigarette butts in ash trays or on the ground. Somtimes I've found nearly full cigs just sitting there. Or sometimes someone will put out a cig before they go into a gas station or something, and I'll grab it.

Ghetto as fuck, but whatever.

I still by my own cigs, but I don't even enjoy them anymore. The first pack I smoked, I had found nearly full on the ground, and they were all clean, so I figured why the fuck not?

Then I started buying my own, and yeah the price is killer. I keep saying everytime "this is my last pack"

And for awhile, it is. Then for some reason I get random cravings, and there I am, 8 bucks gone.

And I'm not rich, so I shouldn't be engaging in such an expensive habit. Same goes with drinking.

I just hate feeling "sober". But the fact is, drinking an smoking just end badly for me. Money gone, euphoria gone. Now it's just habit.

I get 50 nicotine gum pack from my Health Insurance per month, but I just end up abusing those for the nicotine, not actually using them to try to quit.

Every so often though, on my walk home, I pass by the gas station, and end up not buying a pack (cigs or beer) and I feel a little sense of euphoria for putting up with my cravings.

But then sometmes I wake up in the middle of the night and walk to the store "needing" a pack.

Rinse repeat. Plus now I can smoke like 5-10 cigs a day (cheap brand, since I stopped buying Native American Spirit due to how strong they were, and I'd actually get head rush like the first time, but then sick nearly right away, and sometimes I'd waste half a cig).

tl;dr

I know that feel. I think it's all mental. I am a polysubstance abuser though. I know it's because I hate my life, and hate feeling like me. Problem is, these things aren't doing the trick anymore.

We'll make it though. I switched to a less nicotine content cig in an attempt for me to mentally trick myself to it's pointless. But then again sometimes I'm back buying the harder stuff (at least in America).

We all were there once. I used to only smoke 3 cigs a day when I started and be fine when I didn't get a smoke. Like the other guy said, don't risk it. You'll get addicted eventually and then have to go through a few days to 2 weeks of withdrawal to get off of it. Just go talk to them while they're smoking and if they offer you one, say "no thanks, I don't smoke." I don't know how old you are but if they're mature enough, they won't hold it against you. They might even tell you stories of how they wish they could quit or are trying to and say you dodged a bullet.

Don't smoke cigarettes. I've been smoking a pipe for nearly two years now. And by smoking a pipe, I mean that a few times a month, I'll go and smoke for an hour or two then stop. I've got no cravings for tobacco other than for the taste, the same way you crave a type of food. Modern cigarettes are designed to get you hooked.

Anyway, if you live in the West, smoking isn't seen as social anymore by most of the population.

Nicotine withdrawals

So, how bad are nicotine withdrawals actually? I may be experiencing them for the first time, anxiety, sweaty hands, cravings, whatever. I have like 2 cigs left and don't plan to buy more, but i'm kind of apprehensive since there's a bunch of sites telling me they last more than a few weeks and that kind of fucking sucks. I haven't had problem quitting after smoking for some time before, this is kind of the first time i'm feeling like this, so i don't really know what to expect.

Is this going to be really that bad? I have shit to do and don't want to withdraw for the next few weeks feeling like ass and don't want to smoke more for a few months/weeks. And am i more prone to chemical addiction from now on? Most other drugs i've seen easier to relapse after you've gotten a chemical habituation to them the first time, i assume this is the same?

Sorry for the dumb post, but i need to know.

I'm on day 7 now - cold turkey. Was on 20 a day.

First few days were particularily bad, made me very angry and the cravings were continuous like I would actively be thinking about smoking for 30 min chunks of my day with very little time in between.

Just gotta keep yourself busy. Personally I've committed to never having any kind of nicotine ever again. Not one puff. I had to work on changing my mindset beforehand but to be honest it hasn't been the worst, and it's definately getting easier.

I'd say the cravings now last around 2 minutes and I get about 10 a day. Totally managable tho. Why would I want to fuck it all up now?

Your brain will try to trick you into justifying buying a pack or bumming a smoke off someone but you must tell it to shut the fuck up and choose to go without. After all you're free-ing yourself of the cost of smoking, the health disadvantages.

You should not be jealous of people smoking, but pity them because they are still slaves to an addiction.

Anyway that's just my 2 cents. I'm 100% sure that this time I'm quitting for good.

My only fear is next time I go on a night out. I'm working on getting drunk and not smoking in preparation because I know going to the club will be a huge trigger.

Good luck and peace.

Oh yeah, they suck hard. There's a certain point where if you take in nic on the regular for so long, dependence sets in and you're fucked. I used to be able to smoke 1-2 cigs every other day and be fine, but now, if I smoke just one cigarette after getting over WD pangs, I get a total replapse (but the buzz is absofuckinglutely amazing). Don't let other people tell you you're a pussy if you think the WDs are really bad, because some people are more prone to addiction than others, and nicotine WDs can be just as awful as any other heavily addictive drug.

I recommend trying out some NAC pills if your looking to take a break the easy way. NAC is over the counter and is shown in studies to restore glutamine and dopamine levels in the brain after heavy drug abuse (i.e. smoking cigarettes enough to induce withdrawl). It apparently functions in the same way Psilocin acts as an addiction suppressant, except the most high you feel is a general sense of well being.

Anyone accidentally or intentionally smoke somewhere they weren't supposed to and get caught? How'd it go?

My car broke down and I had to take the bus today so I was at the station waiting for a transfer it was wide open air hardly anyone was around I was very very far away from where people sit so I figured I'd have a smoke. The bus I needed to take was already there and I was just waiting. I lit up, the bus driver said nothing, I even asked him how much time I had and he said five minutes and clearly saw I was smoking. Then I get told by some random person that I can't smoke there and I have to put it out or go across the street or I'll get a fine. It really pissed me off because there were no signs anywhere or anything, and I really try to be considerate, I know it's a bad habit and the smoke irritates people so I really do try but it seems like more and more places even OUTSIDE you can't smoke. They banned smoking at my local beach not too long ago and they're talking about a city-wide public smoking ban. Honestly thinking of quitting and just vaping. It's just not a smoker's world anymore.

These are regular European Marbs, and the language on them is Romanian, not russian. Due to that, they have to apply the EU laws of tar & nicotine, so this Marb red (you can see the pack's side for yourself) contains as much tar and nicotine as lights in the US. It's objectively inferior to the american counterpart due to that, and as i said, it's obviously from Romania, not russia.

Russia uses the cyrillic alphabet. These are latin letters on the package, in Romanian language. It says republic of Moldova, which is a 'state' inside Romania, sort of. It's not russian either way. Honestly, you are retared.

by tapping the bottom of your pack you mean to pack it right? i dont do this. i really only find its useful if its really windy outside or im smoking inside a car to reduce stray ash from getting everywhere. im not a chainsmoker but i when i light up a cig i tend to smoke it pretty damn fast and i take deep draws. i find leaving it unpacked gives me a better hit and a more full bodied taste. some cigs you really dont have to pack at all, like american spirits.

i exhale the first puff but its more out of habit than anything. i guess the first puff would be a tad hasher to inhale because of the your lighters flame/butane and the paper is first to really ignite.

the most important thing with hookah is the foil/coal setup. u gotta have holes big enough to get a nice airflow but not so big the coals just burn the shisha. also dont stack coals, just place 3-4 depending on size of bowl. use the metal tray to regularly knock ash off the coals so the shisha stays hot. also change the water every use or it can get p. gross. ive setup and smoked hookah hundreds of times, lmk if u got q's
