Could I get in trouble for vaping in the bathroom at work? by Shit Parringpeg - Sat, 22 Dec 2018 15:59:35 EST ID:fDg7L2PG No.4290 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Yesterday, I was in the bathroom at work, and I was on the john. Just out of habit, I took out my vape pen, and took a few hits. I didn't think anything of it. But, as I was getting up, someone walked in and out very quickly. I'm not sure why they would do this, unless they had to use the stall, and saw it was occupied so they simply left.

I read through the employee handbook, and there was nothing listed under "Immeditate Termination - Class A", but under the "Class B - Verbal Warning" they said you could get a warning for using tobacco products. Nobody came and talked to me or anything, so I assume the guy was just walking in, saw the stall occupied, and left to use the other bathroom on the other side of the factory.

I work in a factory, and most of the people keep to themselves, and probably have their own vices anyway.

Anyway, I have been feeling slightly paranoid about this. I know the whole vaping in a public place stigma, and I don't do that. I generally go outside when I need to vape, unless in my own house. It was literally just a habit of taking it out while I'm using the bathroom.

Should I be worried? I just feel like it was odd that someone walked in and out for no reason. Unless as said to check the stall being occupied or not.

Even if someone did "report" me, it would be my word versus their word, no? So I could simply play dumb, and say "No, I don't vape inside, I take a smoke break with the rest of my co-workers." Even if they knew I was lying, there is no evidence, and if I don't do it again, I should be okay, right?

Lastly, even if they somehow just took someone else's word, they would still need to issue a warning and tell me not to do it again (which I wouldn't) since the only thing related to it in the handbook AT ALL is the "No tobacco products" and that's not grounds for termination without a warning.

I just feel on edge, and for no real reason. I constantly overthink things and it sucks.

Lol I used to worry about this too until I heard another guy ripping a vape in the stall next to me. I work for the state in a big office building. Just hold on your hits and don't let out any vapor and you should be fine. I've vaped in my cubicle a couple of times too it's easy with a phix (the better juul)

stealthy vaping is a skill ya need to acquire mah man. As well as ghost vaping for those situations where a spy or snitch wants to get you fired. But if you're not using a "tobacco" product, which they can't necessarily prove with vaping you should be safe. Just bring a bottle of some 0nctn if anyone is interested.

'weekend vaper' - is it possible? by Frederick Finningway - Sun, 04 Nov 2018 02:04:11 EST ID:PoNAvAnC No.4236 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Does anyone manage to vape nicotine just occasionally, without getting addicted?
I smoked cigarettes for 5 years and was able to quit cold turkey almost 4 years ago. I started vaping for CBD , but one of the companies I bought some 0 nic juice off (for making my own CBD juice) sent some juice samples along with it, which were 3mg nicotine.

Curiosity got the better of me and I tried them out, loved the buzz (naturally), and subsequently ended up finishing off the samples I had over a period of a few weeks. Last Wednesday, when I ran out, I ordered some more because of a good deal online, and now I'm worrying that I maybe made a mistake even getting tangled up with nicotine again, after having successfully quit cigarettes.

Honestly, there is some guilt involved too. In a way, I feel like I fucked up my near-4-years of not having had any cigarettes.

A few of my friends are like that, or so they say. They all smoke to this very day though, although infrequently. This has been going on for about 10 years. They can """stop""" for a week or few days. SOMETIMES a month or two.

Go and throw it in the trash dude, you know it's the right thing to do.

Retrospectively: good that you threw them away, throw the rest and enjoy a healthier life. It's not worth it.

Are you a pussy dude? Who cares if you get addicted to vaping? It's pretty much harmless.
In any case, you can easily keep it to weekends if you are using low doses, but you'll probably be tempted to keep going because of the benefits to memory, cognition, etc.

Actually if you want to be real about it, in some ways the science is still out. We already know that any flavors that contain Diacetyl are bad for your health, and many of the other flavorings and such are approved for ingestion but not necessarily tested to see what potentially dangerous byproducts they give off when heated up as in a vaporizer.

Also, what’s “pussy” about not wanting to have to constantly carry a ball and chain around your ankle everyday? Addiction sucks

OP reporting for duty. I ended up chain vaping through about 30mls over the course of a week. didn't feel any sort of addiction and I didn't have any issue discontinuing use. it's been over 2 months since then, for the record. that being said, I do think it could definitely become an addiction problem again eventually though.

I want to try and make it something that I can enjoy occasionally, like after drinking a few beers or with the occasional cup of coffee. I took advantage of another sample deal from Vapor in a Bottle and I'm going to see how that goes. I'll probably end up dumping out most of them again, but we'll see. at any rate, I'm convinced its not nearly as addicting as smoking is, which makes sense, but clearly it is addictive on some level. I don't think finding that balance between occasional use and total addiction is impossible.

>>4305
I care because I was addicted to smoking for 5 years and kicked the habit cold turkey. it's about not creating another vice for myself needlessly just because I enjoy nicotine. I don't see what's "pussy" about that.

So here's something nobody on the internet is talking about.... Is it possible to get addicted to nicotine through vaping? People are saying yes and no, but have been addicted to cigarettes for 20 years so they have no real clue, so my question is this.

Has anyone here NOT smoked cigarettes, vaped, and then became addicted to nicotine?

I have been vaping on n off for awhile and I wouldn't say I'm anywhere near addicted. I often nearly forget I even have a vape lol. Then again, maybe it has to do with personality type - I've tried cocaine a few times and didn't feel much of any compulsion to keep doing it.

I started on like 2 packs of cigs, got a vape and it took up the habbit. Then I started vaping regularily for about a year, and had alot of stress in my life but bad a juice that reminded me of something horrible, but I didn't buy new juice, instead started smoking cigs again. I went to jail for 2 weeks and quit cigs cold turkey, and went back to vaping. I would say i'm addicted to vaping, but it's a much cleaner addiction then cigs. It's like going from some tar heroin to Morphine.. Cigs make you feel a certain way, but the act of smoking with a lighter and all, is barbaric nowadays and if your not vaping you have a serious addiction, where vapes are just looked at as cool, and have all sorts of nice qualities to them

I've been using njoy king cigalikes, but they're kind of expensive ($6 for 1, which lasts for about 300 puffs).

Anyone have any recommendations for cigalikes that are similar to the njoy king?

I got this VGod rdta and I really like it. I find that the act of filling the reservoir as a means of back soaking the cotton is not the way to do it because the run off from the coils turns all the fresh juice brown. For me keeping the tank empty and letting the brown juice drip out of the wic makes it so I dont have to change the cotton as often. I find changing the cotton wastes juice. I'm not sure yet if it's much more juice wasted (typically depends on if I drip too much and dont vape it all.
24mg nic salts and with 2 massive semi held hits I'm where I want to be. But every hit is fresh af with this method.

Anyone have any recommendations for shorter rdta because this VGod is really tall. Air flow is nice on it though (cant adjust but wide wide open air flow)

I'd recommend a Dead Rabbit rdta from personal experience, but it's just one of many different tanks that place the build deck and coils in a cavity in the center of the tank to cut down on overall size. Yours is different to the norm, there aren't a lot tanks out there with seperate stacked bits. I kinda want one of those now.

Have you thought about just using an RDA instead of a RDTA? Or even, can that Vgod you have be used without the tank section?

yeah the vgod is a dope design but I think its a little tall.

I have the Rune RDA from VooPoo and its dope I just cant get the breaths I want due to the maximum airflow being too small. I was informed that I could drill the holes bigger. but this VGod works great so I haven't had the urge. I honestly like the tank as a catcher. I can usually vape most of the single drips in 3 puffs, so there is minimal run off but the cotton stays cleaner longer. I just save the runoff for emergency. I just use the rune as my cannabis oil burner, I have some bulky coils near touching in it and just put oil on them and it works good.

Ill check out the dead rabbit thanks

tl;dr
is breathing non juice/oil saturated coil bad for your health?

Not sure where this fits more but nic spray is essentailly the Australian juul. I have heard of peope using 100+ sprays a day. It hits fast and you can take a shittonne at once. The bast of euphoria is amazing and is comparative to hard stimulants (but only last for a shor while) You take a large 8+ dose and you will literally lose controll of your neck and slump down onto the ground while experiancing pure bliss. It's just as compact and hits just as hard. Anyone else use nic spray here?

Depends on whether the THC is already decarboxylated. Also ingesting such an amount of glycerin and whatever else is in there can't be good. See it as an opportunity for a t-break.

that’s sort of like saying “sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep again until I’ve had a couple drinks. So alcohol is great for sleep”

Err, yeah, but in this case, it’s probably a signal of just how addicted to it you are, that your body is dreading going into a prolonged sleep state without it pumping through your veins.

There are 4th gen ADD medication in trials that are made of altered nicotine molecules. Nicotine is well known to be a mild stimulant.

Try to do anything while in nic withdrawal. It all sucks. Why? Not because nicotine made it easier, but because you’ve trained your body to need nicotine at all times to do anything .

Let's get this out of the way immediately, nicotine is a toxin too much of anything is a bad thing. But ever since I've started vaping my dieting has improved, I'm more motivated to exercise and I'm finding it easier to breathe since I'm doing deep breathing exercises all the time even when i'm not vaping. Not to mention my mental health which has eliminated my hot flashes of anger, my aforementioned mild depression and even taken away my alcohol cravings which was getting bad. Is it possible to call vaping at least in some cases a medical benefit?

vaping already seems pretty healthy seeing as how the cotton in the mouthpiece never even turns yellow or brown but a couple drags off a cig and they would be. they also make healthy e juice so look into that. e juice made out of natural stuff has lavender oil and stuff like that in there and there's even juices that are meant to open nasal pasages and allow easier breathing and ones meant for relaxation and stuff. i can even provide a link if interested!

>There are some very subtle benefits that aren't at all worth it, and if you try to take advantage of them with any frequency you will become addicted. It's a shitty expensive habit that everybody ends up wishing they could drop.
Says you. I can't afford adderal or a diagnosis, so I vape. My life was a mess before I started, I couldn't remember shit or focus at all. Plus, I no longer crave alcohol since nic gives me my dopamine. This drug was made for me, I wish I had started sooner, like in high school or something.
