You're lucky that's a parallel box first off. I hope you also know ohms law, battery information in terms of how any amps you can draw off of your cells without venting or thermal runaway becoming an issue. Also I saw you did your first build on this and I want to say you're lucky you haven't hurt yourself yet.

What batteries do you have in there, are you running one or two, and what is the specs of that build (wire type, gauge, diameter of what you wrapped it around and how many wraps)? You could be in for some serious shit if you have some shitty efests or other rewraps in there that can't handle the amp load of your build, which is why unregulated devices require some homework to have been done before using one or else you are risking a disaster.

Looks like you put two 22ga kanthal (I hope at least) 6 wraps at what looks like 3mm ID which ohms out to 0.2. Assuming your batteries are somewhat reputable (aka Samsung, Sony, LG, Sanyo pretty much), you should be okay at 0.2 ohms assuming you know when to change your batteries and don't discharge below 3.7v or so (technically you can go lower I believe but the performance is going to suck also it's not really the point of this).

That build though if I guessed it right by the pictures is going to pull between 19-21 amps though, so if youre using 10 amp batteries just get a regulated device and read about how to use unregulated mods safely. This is how people end up on the news and what leads to more of the government wanting to regulate vaping heavily.

To be honest nobody should really be using unregulated (mechanical or with a mosfet etc) devices until they do battery research, check their ohms on a device and are well versed in the other bits of knowledge you need to use these devices safely and not to worry about anything catastrophic happening. Also make sure for the love of god if you do keep using it to do the research and at the very least get good batteries (dont trust wrappers, for an unregulated box like that LG HB2s or HB6s are probably the safest bet since 30 amp rated, although you can use Sony VTC5As and be fine at 25a rated cdr, among others but it varies on the build and resistance). These things need to be treated like firearms not fun toys or gadgets, if used properly it can be a great vape, if you don't know what you're doing it can cause physical harm and disfiguration and put you on the 10 o'clock news.

This guys knows his shit. Battery quality/type and the coil resistance they can deal with are absolutely essential to have full knowledge of. For mechanical mods imo you should have at least a year or two of vaping under your belt or just an quick and dirty rundown of how they're supposed to work and what you should take into consideration when using one. Otherwise it can go very wrong very fast. Think I remember reading that coils on Hell's gate shouldn't be below 0.3-0.2.

Looks good tho and it's a steal for $40 along with the rest.

One more cautionary note: DO NOT connect the batteries in the mod incorrectly. Parallel mechanicals short cells together in function, including while properly done. If the orientation is incorrect, the batteries will discharge into one another with near zero resistance. That can very very very quickly go bad in the form of venting and, at worst, explosion.

When i take a big hit with my vape i cough more often than when i rip a yuge bong.

why?

Angus Bottingwill - Thu, 13 Jul 2017 10:44:15 EST HRNvmA53 No.3594 Reply
Yeah vaping is a bit different than bong hits depending on how high your wattage is and if it's adjustable. If it's high wattage you need to pace yourself. Take a long drag with a a fully open airvent, once it starts to irritate your lung, stop pressing the button but continue with the drag to cool your throat for a second or two, then press again (repeat the last two as needed) until the lung is full.

Although if you have a bad/shit coil (how long have you been vaping on the same coil?) you might need to replace it. Or if you have high nicotine concentration nicotine, tone it down a bit/dilute it etc.

So I bought an iJust Start (standard not Plus) and when I found that the e-cigarette was starting to taste like burnt plastic I changed the atomizer. Problem is, even after changing the atomizer it still tastes like burnt plastic. What am I doing wrong? I lubricated the atomizer. Am I missing something? I hope this problem will be fixed because I don't think I'm willing to get a new e-cigarette.

Did you prime the coil, i assume so by saying you lubricated it whatever that means. You may have burnt the coilhead you installed by some sort of user error like screwing in coil wrong or something. Did you have your airflow fully closed and try to take a pull off it and burn your coil?

I'm honestly impressed you managed to fuck something up on it, there's really like nothing to operating one of these, especially if you overlook the manual and look online at some videos.

Plus it's a 29$ or less device so things will break sometimes at that price. There's other all in one kits or even entry level box mods and tanks you can get, but I highly suggest going to a store and having someone teach you everything you need to know.

If you bought this at a store bring it there and have them troubleshoot it. Otherwise try a new coilhead, apply 1-3 drops on the cotton on top of the coil (not in the hole in it) and the ports on the side if it has any. Screw it in, refill the tank to whatever level it can be filled to and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then try seeing how it treats you. Make sure you have your airflow open as well at least to some degree so you don't burn the shit out of your new coilhead.

I recently got an abx cartridge from my dealer off of a recommendation and have legit never even held a vape before so I really don't know what to look for when I go to the vape shop tomorrow and for obvious reasons can't bring the cartridge in with me.

I know there's more than one size, but I don't know what this one is since it's not listed on the box. The pen they sell to go with it is referred to as "510 threaded." Is that the size that I need to ask for? Is that even a size?

Also, I don't know what kind of shop you plan to attend but you might want to describe that you plan to use cartridges, if that's not especially incriminating. E-cigarette-exclusive shops of the variety I know, as a nicotine addict myself, nowadays tend to carry and sometimes push devices that deliver a shitton of wattage, which would probably torch something small like a cartridge in the hands of a naive user. Like you said, "pen" sounds like your market.

Anyone here have much experience with mixing CBD with their e-juice (bought or homemade)?

I bought a fairly cheap juice to try it today for the first time and it's the most relaxed I've felt in weeks. I ended up ordering 2 grams of isolate to try mixing it into my usual homebrew juice and see how it helps my stress, anxiety, and joint pain long-term.

If it keeps me feeling like I did today, trying it will have easily been the best decision I've made for my personal health in years.

grind it really fine and pack it real tight, like as tight as you can get it. You're not gonna get fat clouds, but thats how i get the most per hit, i find.

You can't get fat clouds from the pax, the vapor path is too small.

Best you can do it pack it carefully and draw slowly. Get a crafty.

just switched to vaping from analog, got a aio because cheap and reviews said they were good for starters. i think 5-6 drops is way too much man. i did that too and i got some leakage. i'd only do 2 drops, fill your tank below half way, and let it sit for 10 minutes, then do a bunch of dry pulls for 5 minutes. then go ahead and fire up, should be fine. if you do start leaking, take your mouth piece off and clean that and the hole that the mouth piece goes into. do that a couple times and you should be fine. also don't inhale too hard, you can pull more juice than your aio can vape which will result in leaking.

I work for the UK's biggest vape retailer (measured by number of shops), and we have more Kangertech products (particularly tanks) returned with faults than EVERY OTHER HARDWARE MANUFACTURER COMBINED

I FUCKING HATE SELLING THESE PIECES OF SHIT JUST TO HAVE TO REFUND/REPLACE THEM THREE WEEKS LATER

In terms of reliability (based on return %s)
Aspire -> Innokin -> Sigelei -> Smoktech -------------------------> Kangertech

That is all.

Also forgot to mention that after a couple months use, the pax2 gets buildup stuck underneath the cover where the on button is, making the button unpressable without some serious force.

Its got to the point now where if I want to use the pax I have to hold it under a hairdryer for a minute or so to loosen the gunk up and even then it still takes me a good 5 mins to get it on sometimes.

you can take the power button/mouthpiece out dude. Just use a thin knife to pop it out, then clean out the buildup with isopropyl alcohol. The mouthpiece will pop right back in.

I mean the rubber covering the actual power button not the mouthpiece.

That doesn't go back on if you peel it off.
