I wish I knew how private servers worked. I'm scared that these things going on with Blizzard are going to be a detriment to classic and I'd like to figure out how to copy their entire server engine in case it goes away so we can replicate it easily as a private server.

Anyone else here play(ed) any wow private servers? I've been playing on private servers since the wotlk days but missed the Nostalrius days. I rode a warrior from Elysium > Darrowshire > Lightbringer and raided a fuck load. So I enjoy vanilla, but man TBC was the shit. I had the most fun as a prot pally on a tbc server.

you just edit a text file to connect to a different server. it's stupidly easy. every private server has its own website and/or discord with the relevant instructions. just make sure you are on the same patch as the server, enter them in the file, and there you go

lmao bruh i said that I had played on private servers. I'm talking about the actual server management.

On topic of private wow stuff, I hopped on a WOTLK server today I used to play and found a 70 warrior that I forgot I had.

oh yeah i've wondered about that too. like how the server has to keep track of everything all at once. i dunno i'm ignorant and kinda dumb. one of my friends said the host has a "core build" or some term like that

So I got given about 20 decent 360 games and a wireless controller for free yet I do not have the console. I've looked at both new and preowned from reputable places and the prices range from 20gbp to 80gbp.
Which version should I get, and what sort of price should I be expecting for a long term gaming fix? I'm very out of touch with the gaming industry these days.

I heard and verified via experience that when you die in a video game you lose one incarnation (spiritually speaking..) .. I feel a bit of energy loss when dying in a video game ... Is there any way to bypass this so i can play cod and die as much as you can without losing any energy / incarnation templates shit?

...to return to an age of jolt cola, rockstar & amphetamine paste cocktails? Filling your head with entire dungeon layouts, loot tables, and drop rates to the detriment of being able to remember what personal hygiene is? Defecating in old, crusty cum socks, and shamefully hiding them in a duffel bag under your bed after one too many times getting screamed at by your guild officers after asking for a bio break between pulls and last time they punished you by removing the last 3 weeks of DKP you earned that you desperately needed to cash in for that one upgrade you've cried about needing for the last two months and somehow every hunter in your roster has successfully rolled for it even though it's a goddamn intellect staff, you're the only resto shaman, you're the only raider that has not missed a single day of the guild's 14 hour Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat-Sun raiding schedule, and your parents are increasingly worried that you're going to be on the evening news for mass murder any day now?

Probably not, but World of Warcraft Classic cares not and this dumb fuckin orc named Butthole is going to make stinkers all over US-Mankrik-H in five days

While some of that is true, proselytizing self improvement as if it's antithetical or mutually exclusive to enjoying oneself is just plain dumb. Half expected him to segue into how he prays now and found Jeebus or some shit.

Granted I can't NEET out like I used to, but you can continually improve yourself, learn, work, work out, AND play video games. They're not mutually exclusive.

I haven't bought a new full priced game in years. 60 bucks is and will always be ludicrous
Nothing tickles my anus more than finding a great game for $20 bucks or under.
Also helps that I'm patient and I don't play many online games so I don't have to worry about the community still being active

The corners have too generous of a hitbox so I've killed myself a few times doing a corner dynamite throw or napalm shot.

Blood will float sometimes.

That sewer part in...E3? you have to come from swimming to crouching and it's still bad if not worse. I usually can diagonal strafe through it but this run I had to noclip through.

My vote, keep BloodGDX, but keep an eye on fresh supply if it gets another patch.

I just bought it. Honestly not disappointed. Ever since the release of Duke3d 20th Anniversary World Tour and Shadow Warrior Redux, I've been dying for a similar release of Blood. It has been many years since I played original Blood on DOS and whatever differences there are, I fail to notice. It only feels different to me because of the framerate. You're right about the hitboxes on the corners though, but I don't really mind it.

You have uncovered a chest worn by time. Upon opening the wooden box, eighteen dusty vinyl records reveal themselves. You place the first record closest to you on your player, and set the needle near the center. Turning on your record player, you begin to listen to the story of Tidus, Yuna, and her other guardians unfold. This story, lost to time, is now reborn. What would it have been like, to have joined them on this journey? You wonder, dreamily as you listen to the Lost Records.

Anyone else that can't wait for tuesday and just watching streamers play the demo build? I haven't been this excited for a game in a long time. I might come off as a shill but this game probably doesn't have a marketing budget for shilling on canadian drug imageboards. I just want to spread word of mouth about this game, since I'm genuinely excited for it.

About the game for those who don't know.

-A physics roguelite where every pixel is simulated
-Made by a finnish studio of 3 people people over 6 years, Noita is witch in finnish
-Customizable magic wands with hundreds of spells/spell components
-It's coming to early access but that's because:

>“TLDR: Right now Noita is already really fun to play and has dozens of hours of content. Early Access allows us to get important feedback to make the game even better. Noita is a physics-based rogue-lite, and rogue-lite games generally benefit from additional content updates. The game is also being made with a custom engine (Falling Everything Engine), and even though the game is fairly stable we haven't been able to test every permutation due to the highly emergent nature of the game. For the same reason we're really excited to see how the players will exploit the game systems.”

Early access trailer:

What are some games that scratch that STALKER itch or otherwise remind you of it? The pitch-perfect post-soviet landscapes, the gloomy, mysterious atmosphere, the tense exploration and resource management, the deep and immersive gameplay, the sense that you're only a small part of a massive world, etc etc. Or, I dunno, the crunchy gear-based progression system. Whatever. Some of these, all of these, something else about it - doesn't necessarily have to be the same genre or even all that similar, just interested to check out stuff you think resonates for whatever reason.

Also feel free to discuss the games themselves and your favorite mods or playstyle. Currently a ways into Anomaly, which is excellent (if slightly buggy, although not relative to other mods). Really fleshes out the standard Call of Chernobyl experience in a lot of ways. Initially started as a loner in cordon but the little introductory quest was absurd, the guy who was supposed to show me the ropes kept getting destroyed by a horde of boars and cats and a couple zombies in exoskeletons... Currently playing as a merc and having a much better time.

My main problem with it after dipping into it occasionally is that it still seems pretty buggy. Like I switched over from it to Anomaly before posting this thread because I was tired of the semi-regular ctds. Using dx9 lighting seemed to help a bit but it still seemed like I was having to reload it every 15 minutes or so. Otherwise it's pretty cool if you're looking for something that's more traditionally structured while still adding and changing up a ton.

But if you haven't finished SoC yet I'd say you're probably better off continuing your vanilla save and maybe slapping on a few texture packs or going with a more stable/conservative mod like Autumn Aurora or Complete first (I haven't modded straight SoC in quite a while so I'm sure there are better suggestions)

I think you're better off in Vanilla than Complete. Complete makes the game a lot easier. What kssue with SoC are you wanting to fix?

This has been popping up in my head a bunch of times,
but almost all my favourite games and stuff always seem to have really good music. E.g. Arcanum, Morrowind, fucking banging music. And just thinking of Arcanum gives me flashbacks to those... "pliriris" sound effects, so satisfying.

I guess what I'm getting at is, what if all the games I loved it was really just that they had really catchy music that I enjoyed while getting to have my mind kept busy with the game mechanics? Almost every single one of the ones I remember fondly I remember the music more than the actual games. In Diablo the music is almost more than half of what makes it great, that fucking guitar strum when you get back to town.
Only exception I remember would be The Witness, no music in that one, still great.

No I'm done with it. I just like to digest a game for a while before I Express my opinion about it. Usually when I finish a game, especially if the last boss was frustrating, I spend a couple of days thinking about it before it finally pass through my system. I think it finally did and I can pick and choose what I liked and didnt like.
