I'm not sure, there was a second Crimson Skies for the original Xbox with differences, but idk if it was a true sequel or just a 'directors cut' port.

Tbh it's so weird this franchise never took off like some others of the same time. It was a hell of a flight game with a really interesting world and story to boot.
Could've made arcade flight sims more of a staple in the modern gaming world but it just didn't happen.

Pic is the wonderful North America of CS's world.

Fuck, I only had the demo of it that came with some other game I bought. It only had the first two or three levels, but I played the ever-loving shit out of those two or three levels. Fond memories. I don't even really play games anymore, but I would buy and play the fuck out of that if they remastered it.

There is Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge for Xbox that is also now on Game Pass if you have that.

>>761985
I think it's supposed to be a standalone sequel since the stories are different. High Road to Revenge had a more open world structure but less airplane customization. It's a fun arcade flight game though, one of the best I've played.

So during lockdown me and my roommate have been getting drunk and playing a lot of overlooked(crappy) games and I was looking for a few new ones.

The next one we're thinking of trying is called Dungeon Lords, some old rpg with 8 player co-op.

Doesn't have to be multiplayer, maybe some generic shooter that you beat 10 years ago, or some goofy point and click game no one remembers. Gimme some sweet mediocrity

pop that xbox headset on and the director whispers in your ear IRL, and any noise you make reveals you to the goons.

Another cool thing about that game was everything felt impactful. The gun play was way better than even modern GTA in that when you shot some ones head it went to fucking pieces

Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. is a pretty average game overall, but I enjoyed it for its creative character designs, stages with interesting hazards, and freedom of movement I'd never before experienced in a fighting game up to that point. There were even some stages that were vertically scaled for an extra challenge.

I saw the Ranger at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “HUH, like you’re HUHing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “HUH? HUH? HUH?” and closing his hands shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him HUH as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to bhop out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in each of his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical inHUHerence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by HUHing really loudly.

asking for potential correction/contradiction when you have multiple bad experiences is not pol, it's actually the opposite, the pol mentality would just be internalize and run with the bad experiences as if they're fact. the second poster is also speaking of bad experiences with a group of people (generalizing), and yet you don't have the same reaction. that's a double standard, technically, even though they're speaking carefully because generalizing in general (lol) is a tricky thing.

although both could give a sense of 'depth', variance in play-style isn't the same as variance in challenges/scenarios the game is presenting. isometric hack n slashes are notoriously competent at the first, and piss-poor at the second. it seems to be their defining trait actually. and this is coming from someone who's favorite game of all time is the original Diablo.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. seems to be slightly in vogue, bought it after playing the beta leak and a bit more a few years ago but recently I fired it up again and played with the Complete mod, which I love so far. Now there’s stuff out like Chernobylite, Tarkov, and obviously the Metro games exist, but I feel like this game is slowly beginning to give way to other things comparable to the general aesthetic and location of Stalker. I’m just gonna dub these games here as “Chernobylikes” since I’m starting to see more of it

I always looked at “Slavjank” as being a descriptor of how the bugs in the game feel and not really the specific genre/location combo. Metro, Stalker, and Tarkov all take place in what seem to be Eastern European realistic fiction settings, where some locations are based off reality like the exclusion zone itself and not necessarily anywhere else surrounding it being a 1:1 depiction of a real place. When a character gets downed while I’m talking to him and thanks me for helping him while he’s on the ground wincing in pain and dudes are shooting my way, THAT’S what I call “Slavjank”; same goes for basically any other weird Russian games that aren’t explicitly FPS (I’m looking at games like you, Vangers)

Hey guys, so this being a drug based video game board....

>What would be the perfect drug cocktail for e-athletes(is that even a term?) in a competition.
I'm asking because even though I don't really watch esports (I used to watch WoW Arena/MDI stuff), I'd like to try and get in touch with some team managers so I can try and join a team as a "consultant" ifyouknowwhatImeanwink-wink.jpg. Even though they're probably already floored on some next level shit no one in functioning society has even heard about, maybe one of you guys has some secret magical elixir to get off your chest?

Also:

>What kinda drugs do you think most streamers use?
>What kind of drugs do you use when you're playing video games?
>Are there certain drugs you reserve for certain games?
>How much of your life do you spend playing video games?
>Should I get back into video games? Or be glad I've escaped?
>What are your rituals?
>What are your stories?
>What are your dreams? (Aspirations, Goals, Etc.. not a /dream/ inquiry)

As you can tell, I don't have a lot going on atm.

>I think streamers would probably use just good ol' caffeine, prescription amphetamines, nootropics like modafinil, cocaine, maybe MDMA?...any stimulating drug that also makes you feel more "verbal" to avoid dead air.

>I take vyvanse daily and I usually like to smoke weed and take acid when playing video games, but when recording or streaming games I just stick with vyvanse. Even a little toke can make me zone out and next thing you know I'm cutting out half-hour segments of dead air. However if I'm recording something with the homies...then we'll all get fucked up and have constant banter and it works a bit better as content.

>If I play RTS, vyvanse+caffeine is great. Anything else will probably be some highly-visual gorefest with beautiful environments, played with the hud turned off. In that case I like to smoke weed or drop acid. Wandering around New Vegas with mods and fully immersing myself in that world was my absolute favorite, but I sure spent alot of my time just ambiently "doing nothing"...like sitting in bars, smoking cigs, listening to the radio...sometimes it was like the world's coolest screensaver.

>I've been going to school full-time while using video games to procrastinate for as long as I can remember, but I think I'm over that. Now I want to make/edit videos of games I like so other people can see it and have a laugh maybe. Certainly makes it feel like it's less of a waste of time...practicing editing with adobe premiere has pretty much given me a whole new hobby, and I've actually become a bit more confident in speaking and sociable since being in front of a camera. When a funny video is coming along nicely and my friends are laughing, that's when games feel the most rewarding to me.

>nobody can make the decision for you to get back into video games. If you do, my advice is to be more "social" with it and to me that meant streaming, making vids, meeting people on discord servers, etc. In doing those things, you may develop new skills and discover new interests, I myself enjoyed learning about sound engineering, customizing my twitch, sometimes creating visual assets in photoshop when needed.. If you play a game so often that you feel it consumes your life...you should DEFINITELY record and show off everything you've done in it. Why not?

Gonna post about a horror game ive been playing on and off for the last 15 years if that interests anybody

http://www.hellrising.com/index.php

Attached is a screenshot of the game. It's perfect for people with time on their hands at work or dont have a strong pc for gaming etc. You basically play as either a human, vampire or zombie in the quarantined city of serling and fight it out. It has both elements of PVP and npc enemies. You can form up groups which sort of function like guilds, which allow the use of group storage. they also recently (well sort of recently) added base buildings items and crafting (Example: you can fence off a building, any undead have to break the fencing in order to access the buildings. there are different types of fencing and walls you can make via crafting, along with other stuff)

If you do decide to play, my advice for anyone is stop by a fire department and pick up a walkie talkie it allows you to talk to the rest of the game and your first skill I suggest buying is the hiding one so you don't get killed as often.

Oh one last thing, here is a map of the game. its easy to get lost without it
